We are in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr*** with your officeThank you for passing it along to us and allowing us this opportunity to respond. Firstly, I should mention that I have some
concerns regarding the sharing of information as it concerns matters of confidentialityFor this reason, I will attempt to limit my comments when responding to Mr***'s complaints Mr*** has been a client of our office for a number of years and, most recently, came to us with respect to debt which he had incurred and with respect to which he required assistance. Our office incurred approximately three hours of time meeting with the client in determining his options, including options involved in the payment of the debt, the filing of a possible bankruptcy petition and ultimately tried to assist him with respect to procuring a loan through a credit union in order to help him ease his financial issues Although Mr*** indicates that he did not receive a return telephone call from MrHogan, I do note that MrHogan posted a note to the client's file that he spoke with the client, that they spoke briefly and that the client would call back; to MrHogan's knowledge, Mr. *** did not call backThe fact that MrHogan, the owner of the firm, would refuse to call him does not make senseI also know that I personally called Mr*** (I do not have record of the date) at one point because Corey was unable to immediately return a call to him but had not received a return call; honestly, I felt it was because I was not CoreyI am also aware that Mr. *** would appear at the office without an appointment and Corey was unavailable to meet with himI believe it would be unfair to characterize this as a refusal to meet with a clientIf a telephone message was not returned for whatever reason, I would offer that it was inadvertent and would belie the assistance and personal attention Corey provided to Mr*** We understand that the client retrieved his estate planning documents, although certainly not upon our request Our bill remains unpaidShould you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact usSincerely, Diane T., Esq
