Sorry you are having issues with your vehicle. As I stated in our last phone conversation I have the wiper sprayer here to install. The multi function switch, which is used for the turn signal and dimmer, is mounted at the top of the steering column and we could not have
affected itAll the work done for the transmission is done from the bottom of the vehicle the only time we would even touch it is to signal a turn during the test driveYou brought up a third concern which sounds like the insulator at the bottom of the column fell out. We may have affected that and I am happy to look at it. As far as I know the steering wheel is straight since I arranged for you to get a steering alignment at another shopI checked and they said you did come in to get it done. The mass air flow sensor was inspected when you were in last and it's on the car and its plugged in. Without this part the car would not start. We scanned it and its working properly. My offer is at this point still on the tableI will inspect the concerns you have and assess if we are at fault. I will install the washer sprayer, we did not remove it while doing the repair work but I am more than happy to put one on for you. Thank you

We did repair Mrs. [redacted] car we did install an axle shaft. It did fail. We did replace it the second time under warranty at...

no charge to her. I did tell her there was no second invoice because there was no second charge. The repairs were all done under warranty. We showed her that the brakes were in disrepair. She said they were new, that she had a friend install them. I tried to show and explain the reason they were not new and she did not want to talk to me about that. I do know and understand that her brakes are not in good condition. We however did no repair work on them. We install and axle shaft. This did not require us to remove any of the parts listed by Mrs. [redacted]. I understand that auto repairs can be trying for the customer. I had tried to explain to Mrs. [redacted] that the axle came from napa. This means the parts are of the highest quality that can be bought. She obviously did not listen to what I said evidenced by her statements witch do not match what I said. The installation or the axle was correct, and were not the cause of the failure. According to her the brakes were done by a friend, so I would have to say that friend is who she needs to have repair the improperly installed brakes. If she has any other issues with the repairs that we mad I will happily address those issues. Thanks Danny
OFFER:
None at this time the axle shaft is installed and working properly.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/07/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
To replace an axle shaft does require the mentioned parts to be removed as confirmed by another mechanic. The parts were from Napa, but the installation was done incorrectly due to the parts that are missing and not even put back on the car or the ones that were not reinstalled correctly. This mention of a friend is a statement made by Danny, I said that the breaks had been replaced never by who or where, he is saying this to do nothing other than place the blame elsewhere. I do have the mechanic that is from the shop that I took the car to that is willing to give you a statement that states that the work was not done correctly and with the two missing parts that my car was unsafe to drive when it left Jess Lewis shop.

The statements made by Mrs. [redacted] are incomplete. I cannot make any offer or take any further action based on them. She mentions missing parts but does not list what they are.The parts the original complant mentioned, the cotter pin was installed, the retainer is not used on the new axle nut which comes with the new axle. The procedure for pulling her axle shaft is to remove the center cap, pull the axle nut, separate the ball joint, and remove the axle shaft. In this procedure the only parts removed from her car are the axle nut, 2 ball joint nuts, 1 ball joint bolt and the axle shaft. I was under the car with Mrs [redacted] before it left and all those parts were there and tight. At this point I cannot see where any of the issues she has or any of the parts we removed and replaced are missing or improperly installed. I would be more than happy to communicate with a professional about what his opinion is on the repairs we made. At this point however the parts previously listed by Mrs. [redacted] were not relevant to the repairs made. When the vehicle left our shop all the parts we removed were installed properly. Non of the parts not listed by me would have been disturbed during the axle shaft replacement. Thank you.
OFFER:
The only offer I can make at this time is to send the vehicle to a shop both Mrs. [redacted] and I can agree on and have it inspected. If this shop says that we had to pull the brakes and replace the control arm to make the repair I will pay that shop to fix it. If they say we did not need to do so to perform the repairs and find no prof that we did any of the damages listed then Mrs. [redacted] would be responsible for the fees of the inspection.
