This particular situation/event that the customer has filed a complaint about took place as advertised The specific band that the patron is referring to was the "opening act" and was not the headliner of the event There was no predetermined show time for when the opening acts would perform as that is at the discretion of the acts themselves/the promoter HoldMyTicket does not offer refunds for any changes in opening acts of the event The only time refunds would be offered is if the scheduled headliner changes or the event itself is cancelled or rescheduled This is clearly stated in our Terms of Service which the patron would have agreed to before submitting their transaction The patron did contact our company requesting a refund at which time we explained that refunds are not granted in situations such as these Please see our attached Terms of Service

I am rejecting this response because: The response remains inadequate and unfair. Hold My Ticket (HMT) accepted my money and did not meet the advertised product. The venue did not take my money, the artists did not take my money, HMT took my money so it is with HMT that I seek resolution. They can confer with the venue and whomever to work this out in a fair and equitable manner. It is not my responsibility to appeal and convince all of the HMT business partners that I have been treated unfairly. Why does HMT insist on complicating the issue: I purchased two tickets for three bands, two bands arrived at the venue and played. There were no postings of a change in the scheduled bands. I learned of the band not playing through a conversation with an unknown patron; we had to enter the venue to learn of the change because no one was ever forthcoming with the change information. Three bands were scheduled, two played. The fact that one of the bands was not going to appear was not displayed anywhere inside or outside the venue. Tickets were scanned to document entry into the event. It was after entry that it was learned, never deliberately disclosed by the venue or HMT, that only two bands were going to perform. HMT continues to emphasize that I entered the venue. I did enter the venue with the exact expectation that was clearly communicated on the ticket information, reflected in the the ticket price, and shown repeatedly in the many advertisements for the event. Again, no one took any responsibility to inform the ticket holders before entry that only two bands were now scheduled to perform. Consequently, we should all know deep down this was fundamentally wrong; it is disheartening to see such obvious wrong defended so strongly. Pay for three, get two: is that how we do business with one another now? Under any standard, how is that fair? Honor your word, do what is right, demonstrate ethical business practices when you know people are not being treated in a just and fair manner, such as this case.

Hello, [redacted]: Again, I apologize for you have been so inconvenienced by this matter. I want to clarify that we have made every effort to retrieve your funds from the event promoter. It is the reason that early-on you received notifications from HoldMyTicket that refunds had been processed. We initiated the refunds in our software, but the funds in the event promoter’s merchant account were no longer available. HoldMyTicket is merely a gateway to the event promoter’s merchant account. I would suggest you contact them but they have been totally unresponsive. A chargeback is the only coarse of action I can recommend to ensure your funds are returned. I’m happy to help you resolve this matter with your bank if you would like me correspond with them, or speak with a representative.HoldMyTicket Management.
