Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:As I stated in my phone conversation with *** ***, I brought my own sheets and towel because I am a germaphobe and always travel with them, especially after the bed bugs outbreak a while back Likewise, and personal, I dont sit on public toilet seats, I shower with shower shoes on and dont take baths in hotels Which begs the question, why wasn't the shower curtain and bath tub damaged as well? I am not only asking for a refund, but an apology for the way I was treated I STILL have photos of me in the room and bathroom where purple sheets are clearly visible on top of the bed as well as a clear view of the white toilet seat These photos are automatically dated and were taken throughout my stay And lastly, the most obvious proof that I did not have spray tan on my body would be the competition suit I wore that night I have very clear proof and evidence that you can see of the whole weekend, which is more credible than my word against the hotel
Regards,

To Whom It May Concern:Let's start off by saying were not in the business of defrauding our guests of their money.. This "[redacted] CHAMPIONSHIP" group has been staying at our hotel for the last past few years and with that said they have created damages to our linen, carpets and bathtubs. We never...

once went after any guest that created damages to the rooms. However damage created wasn't done intentionally with that said it has caused the hotel money to repair damages. After this last even that was held here atthe hotel on 5/23/2014 we had anywhere between 15 rooms that had damages to them. In regards to **. [redacted] the specific damage to her room was a damaged toilet seat, and stained linen.According to her statement she said she's an African American and she doesn't use the spray tan, so if that's the case why did she bring her own "purple sheets" and her "own bath towel" if she didn't need to protect our linens from the tanning color. She also states that she believes that the hotel targeted guests who use the "[redacted]" group code.damages to their rooms on that specific date. She speaks about [redacted] my front desk manager which she was going on information given to her by our Executive Housekeeper and her staff so [redacted] Didn't have the information at that specific moment. However we do have documentation in regards to **. [redacted] room. [redacted] didn't have to ask **. [redacted]for her room number because she entered her Full name which at that point her reservation came up.I understand from talking to [redacted] that the conversation was going nowhere because she expected to get a refund for her charge of $150.00. Which at that point [redacted] explained to her that every guest that was charged tor damages is now calling in to the hotel to dispute the charges. At that point she told **. [redacted]that unfortunately there will be no refund. There's no more to talk about in regards to this matter we have written information from our Executive Housekeeper that we will be glad to provide if needed. My name is [redacted] Im the General Manager of the Holiday Inn I can be contacted at ###-###-#### (please update your record because you still have [redacted] as the GM).Yours truly,

Review: I stayed at the Holiday Inn [redacted] May, 23rd- 25th using a group rate discount code for a bodybuilding championship. I was charged for my stay, and then a little over a week later I was charged an additional $150.00. When I called the hotel to inquire about the additional charge [redacted] at the front desk was unsure of what it was for, she later called me back and said it was listed as damages but didn't have any specific information. She told me to call back in 2 days to speak to her manager [redacted]. I called the Holiday Inn today (6/17/14) to speak to [redacted] about the specific damages to my room. When I first spoke to [redacted] she told me there was a lot of damage to the hotel during the [redacted] championships including damages to sheets, curtains, toilet seats, and showers that were stained with spray tan. She went on to tell me that there were a lot of roo** that were charged. When I asked her about the specific damage to my room she couldn't tell me, and then put me on a 30 second (I timed it) hold so that she could speak with house keeping. When she came back to the line she said there was damage to my sheets, a curtain, and a toilet seat needed to be replaced.

The issue I took with this is; she never asked me for my room number (which lead me to believe the hotel targeted guests who used the [redacted] group code), and when I told her that if that was the damage it couldn't have been my room because: 1) I'm dark skinned African American and didn't use spray tan (and was the only one in the room)

2.) I brought my own dark purple sheets to sleep in along with my own bath towel

3.) And I have photos of me during my stay, in the bathroom which clearly shows the white toilet seat, and me in my dark purple sheets on the bed....

She then told me "a lot of people called saying the damages weren't caused by them and that I could send the photos but it wouldn't change anything", and then hung up the phone. I tried to call the hotel several times after that, but all of my calls were forwarded to her voicemail. I was able to speak to [redacted] (who was very polite) at the front desk again, who said she couldn't help me and that [redacted] was the only person who handled those matters. I told her I was shocked at how unprofessionally I was being treated and that I would be filing a dispute with my credit card company as well as a complaint.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology for the way I was treated, real documented proof of damage to the room reserved and stayed in, and a refund of the $150.00 to my credit card because there was no damage to that room.
