This is why the guests' room was not cleaned. After the guest informed us of the initial complaint a twenty... dollar discount was offered for the inconvenience but the guest declined this and began to yell obscenities while standing at the front desk. The front desk staff and catering manager where standing there at the time and all told the guest that she needed to leave. She stormed out still yelling and cursing.
Mrs. [redacted] and her husband did stay with us on 4/22 and 4/23. After initially placing the guest in a room with a king size bed, we did find a vacant room with two beds for them. This room became vacant due to an unexpected departure. The room was cleaned and the guests were notified that they...
could switch to this room if they would like. They did and remained in the room with two beds for the rest of their stay. While it was unfortunate that initially that bed type was unavailable we were able to satisfy the guests' request for a room with two beds. Regarding the incident in the elevator, our elevator, like any elevator, is prone to encounter a lift issue if a large group of people were to all try to ride at once. This tends to happen when large teams are staying with us, as was the case on this particular weekend. Mrs. [redacted] and her family were a part of one of these teams. While it is unfortunate that anyone had to experience this, the matter was resolved within minutes and the elevator worked fine when not overloaded. Mrs. [redacted] contacted the fire marshal to complain. The fire marshal came out to inspect our elevators on Monday 4/25. They were found to be in good working order. A copy of the inspection can be provided if necessary upon request.Mrs. [redacted] did not mention anything about bug bites until after she was denied a full refund. Our rooms have been recently renovated and all amenities including mattresses are brand new. Furthermore, preventative maintenance is scheduled monthly to ensure we do not have insect issues. We do not have bed bugs at our property.In summary, Mrs. [redacted] and her family chose to stay with us after encountering the issues she mentioned. Her requests for a two bed room were satisfied and our elevator was found to be in good working order, overloading was the only issue encountered which created a problem and it was resolved within minutes. We do not feel Mrs. [redacted] is entitled to a full discount because we provided service to her and met her requests while staying with us. I hope this will conclude this matter. Thank you.
