Holiday Inn Express - Alamosa

I made a reservation online on June 9th for a trip that was to begin on June 12th, I canceled the reservation on June 9th, three hours later and received a cancellation confirmation email on the 9thSeveral days later I realized the $2,was still posted on my Credit card statementSo I called the hotel to have it removedThe general manager said that she couldn't because her hands were tied and she would have to speak to corporateI called back several days later and she stated they wouldn't allow her toI then called IHG corporate complaints and was told they couldn't do anything so that they would contact the General manager to see if she would be willing to refund the amount, and called me back to say that she didn't want toSo I'm being billed for a hotel stay that was canceled days in advance and that I never stepped foot in that was booked and canceled online, so no one had to actually do anything, even lift a finger during the entire process
