On or about we were searching for a hotel room in Littleton, co so we could attend our niece's going away to the Marine Corps when I was told on-line with the holiday inn express would give us a $50.00 credit on our first stay if we joined the rewards program witch we did but when we received our credit car bill there was no credit so I tried to contact the corporate office and was told that the person that would handle this would be back in the office on 09/23/19 and would contact me but I got no response and when I tried to contact them again I was unable to speak to anyone.Bad Business on there part.
When *** came to check into the hotel we pre authorized $164.18 this authorization included room and tax ++ incidentals. The guest was told as long as there aren't any incidentals/ damages the $50.00 will be returned back to the credit card seemlessly( not showing as a refund, but put released back into his available balance.) The hard post charge for ***'s stay was $114.68 , please see attached document. Some authorizations can take up to 30 days to be released, depedning on BANK INSTITUITION. Most likely, the guest is probably looking for a refund, which it will not display as a refund. The guests bank statement should reflect an actual charge of $114.68 from the hotel. We aren;t holding anymore of the guests funds. I suggest the guest contact his bank to resolve this issue.
