On 11/20/18, I wrote the following e mail to this hotel: *** (***@aol.com)*** Details Ladies and Gentlemen: On 11/15/18, I signed up for a seminar given by the *** Institute. I drove over an hour from my home in Pomfret, CT to attend. Upon entering the hotel, I asked a young man behind the counter where the seminar was given. He directed me to a small conference room on the third floor. I visited the room. No one was in attendance. I returned to the front desk and said to the young man ARE YOU SURE YOU GAVE ME THE RIGHT ROOM? A middle aged lady with brown hair came over from the restaurant and asked what I was trying to find. I repeated the question. She asked me to wait, and she went back to where she was, (ostensibly to check her records). As I was sitting on the lobby sofa with my wife, the lady returned and told us the seminar was cancelled. As this seemed so unlike *** to cancel a seminar without warning, we called to leave word there and we returned home. The next morning, *** of *** called me and said that your hotel had screwed up and had given me misinformation. The seminar that was cancelled was for THE 16TH...and not the 15th. The 15th seminar went off as planned. (*** arrived 5 minutes after I left). As the above snafu is clearly the screw up of your hotel for handing out misinformation (and not me, or ***), I respectfully ask *** to refund to me the seminar price of $250 by 12/1/18. I will trust that you will follow through with my reasonable request, and not force me to take further action against your hotel.
