Contract Issues: Our room stank of *** and then the smoke detector was ripped out of the ceiling, wires hanging. My husband asked the next day if we could move to another room. They said we could move to room 206; however, the room also did not have a smoke detector installed. The smoke detector was in the same condition as in our room. My husband peered in room 204 and this one did not have one neither. Therefore, we attempted to complaint and call customer care but all they can do is get us to another hotel near Disneyland. We were hoping we could get the same rate but this hotel, Days Inn Orange was more expensive. We would like to get reimburse for the difference between the two hotels because were it not for the bad condition and lack of safety features from Travelodge, we would have stayed there for our vacation. Instead we had to settle for another hotel, wasted a day to deal with this issue, and just the aggravation of the lack of professionalism and care shown by the hotel management staff -(customer service issues).
Guarantee Issues: When we stay at hotels, we expect it to be clean, tidy, and free of bed bugs and issues. This Travelodge Buena Park was smelly and had no working smoke detector. How they got away with that is against my comprehension for it is the law at California Building Code to have smoke detectors in every room. The Days Inn Orange where Wyndham got us a room, had both a smoke detector and fire sprinklers above the ceiling.
Refund or Exchange Issues: When we talked to the reservation customer service rep and to customer care rep, none of them would change the rate for the Days Inn Orange for our stay.

We are looking to get reimbursed for the following:
1. Difference of $60.49 (Days Inn $337.70 minus Travelodge $277.21)
2. Inconvenience of $100 (losing one day of vacation to deal with this issue)
3. Stress and health safety $100 (lack of compliance with the California Building Code and disregard for customer safety)

I stayed at a Baymont by Wyndham hotel in Murray based on its presence on the Wyndham site. Place was horrible.
My husband and I are loyal Wyndham customers, because we have always been impressed with your properties. That was true until our current stay. This has to be the dirtiest, nastiest, and most unsecure hotel that I've stayed in; it was completely bait-and-switch, because what you purport on the website is nothing close to the reality that is this hotel. It is grungy, dirty, and unkempt. There were no blankets or comforters on the bed so my husband asked for two of them since we have two beds; we received one. Someone came to our door to clean at 8 am which we didn't want; apparently that meant that they didn't have to clean at all illustrated by the fact that no one came back to clean the room. The outside 'security' doors are broken. I am so upset that we were forced to pay our money for such a horrendous hotel. Of course, we could have stayed somewhere else, but we would have lost our money and who knows if we could find another hotel. I have included a few pics of the hotel, but I have many to include. I'd like to speak to someone about this.

We were going to stay at a Wyndham hotel, which 15 miles from the hotel, they called saying they gave our room away, we asked for 30000 points reimbur
June 9th we had a reservation with a Wyndham hotel for two nights, and 15 miles from the hotel the hotel called and said they gave our room away after being charge for it... we weren't able to find a room for 31/2 hours which finally put us in a room at 4 am.. so by not only loosing more sleep and making us tired for the whole weekend. We were also short on money because I had to pay for yet another hotel room for the weekend. We did about a week later getting a refund for the room, but like I said still left us short for the entire weekend. We asked for 30000 points as a reimbursement for the entire hassle, and they said the most they could do is 15000. I've talked to multiple representatives and one told me that I was offered 15000 points and it was declined, and another representative says I agreed too 15000 points and I was given 15000 points. I never agreed to 15000 points and now they are saying there is nothing else they can do... I've been talking to representatives since June, being told I would hear back from people and never did, I've talked to supervisors who were kinda rude about the whole issue and since somewhere in the notes it said I agreed to 15000 points there's nothing else they can do...
