Review: In April of 2015 we entered into a contract with Holiday Pools to have an in ground pool at our home. After speaking with Shelly (Holiday Pools Salesperson) we signed a contract with a start date of 6/5/15 and a completion date of 7/10/15. I called in early June and was told permits from the town were not in yet so they would not be able to start. (a lie, permits were completed 6-1-15) The pools was started on June 19th and the construction site that was my backyard sat for weeks at a time with little to no work being done. Constant calls to Holiday were for nothing. At one point I was told that they did not have time for my pool because "they had things to do". My pool was finally completed in late August, a far cry from the beginning of July that was promised. When the pool was completed I sat with Michelle (one of the owners) and went over all of my grievances. She said she would work with me to make up for what ended up being a lost season for no particular reason. Not only did we not have a pool we were promised, we also lost use of our yard for the summer. On top of that, because of the timing all of the equipment that we purchased will be out of warranty once I get my pool started for its first season next year. She said they would offer up a great price on a pool safety cover for my convenience. After numerous calls and text 5 weeks later I got a "special" price on a safety cover. The price even with the "special discount" was higher then every other quote for either the same or similar products. So their form of complaint resolution is to overcharge us for more products. If they had been honest with me upfront about their inability to complete this project during this swim season I would have put off construction till nearly next season. Their contract has a completion date they were no where near close to meeting for little reason. Weather was not a factor, we had an incredibly dry summer. They promised me a pool for this swim season and they failed.Desired Settlement: I recently received the final bill ($1,000) The Total was over $30,000. I would like to call it even and still keep all warranties that were promised to me. Their contract specifically states no warranty work will be done if a payment is outstanding.
