Holiday Stationstores Reviews (%countItem)

I went to the gas station on Saturday and filled up with non ethanated premium gas, on Monday morning (after driving only a couple of blocks to church on Sunday) my check engine light came on and the car was running real rough. I called the shop to have the car looked at, as it is still under warranty. The shop called me back and said that the fuel I was using was 21 percent ethanol, and it looked real cloudy as if it had water in it. He advised me to use a different gas station and keep filling it with premium, He said because the tank was so full, that I would have to do this multiple times, and I would have to run a bottle of ***. Since taking the mechanics advice, and filling up at my normal gas station. I have had zero issues. I spoke with the manager at the station, and then someone from gas stop called me and stated that they did not receive any other complaints, and that their gas was fine. I was advised that they could do nothing for me, and would have to pay the service fee to the mechanic out of my own pocket.
Product_Or_Service: Gas

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like to receive the *** dollars to the mechanic, and the cost of the gas back.

Subject: case ID

Hi ***,

In reference to case ID here is our response. We disagree with the complaint.

At that location our premium is 100% gasoline and it contains no ethanol. We pulled samples and we tested the gas 2 times. We also had an outside company test the product. All 3 tests show no ethanol in the gasoline.

We have all the bill of ladings from the pipeline showing our premium is always 100% gasoline. We also have daily tank readings that show all deliveries, and gallons sold.

All of the products we sell at that location are 100% gasoline or 90% gasoline. There are no products that contain over 10% ethanol. The 21% ethanol in the customer's tank did not come from our premium tank.

There have been hundreds of customer transactions before and after *** and this is the only complaint we have had. If the gasoline is as bad as the customer suggests, there would have been many complaints.

We totally disagree with this claim.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Until that day. My car was running fine. After filling up at you station ( the first time I got gas in a week). My car started running rough. I take it to the shop, they tested it as cloudy and over 20 percent ethanol. The car was parked in a locked garage. There is no way that gas came from anywhere else, and I have the mechanics invoice and notes as well as cc receipt for gas.

Hi ***,

In reference to case #*** we disagree with the complaint. As we stated in our first response there are several reasons we know our fuel wasn't the problem. Please refer to the facts we sent in the original denial.

Again we totally disagree with this claim.

Thank you,
