Horrible service! I purchased a ring that I could not wear because of an allergic reaction to the metal in the ring. When I returned the ring with credit card receipt within 2 weeks of purchase they told me they would only give me store credit. It took over 45 minutes for them to go through boxes and boxes of receipts and they finally gave me a check (refund) because I was very upset. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by anyone in a business. They were rude and nasty in front of other customers. I will never go back. Think twice about ever purchasing anything there!

Review: I took my wedding ring into Holland Jewelers in Peddlers Village on route 24 two weeks ago to have it sized. I was referred there by a family member. I picked up my ring yesterday and noticed when I got home that it had damage to it and it was also completely dirty. The ring had two bumps on the band from the resizing that were obviously not there before. I called them right away and talked with the same young man I had been dealing with since I dropped off the ring. He told me to bring it back in and they would look at it. This morning I went there and spoke with the same young man I had been dealing with since day one. He acknowledged the damage and went in the back to get the owner-[redacted] Holland. [redacted] came out and from the get go was defensive, aggressive, and angry, to the point that he was shaking. At this point I had not asked for a refund or anything like that. I just wanted to talk to someone and understand why the damage was there. This was the first ring I had sized and I honestly didn't know much about the process. Basically I just wanted some answers. [redacted] continued on blaming the ring for the damage. He was extremely rude to me and I said to him that I was just in there to talk and that I didn't understand why he was getting so aggressive with me. [redacted] said that the damage was caused because of the style of my ring and that if it had been bought at his shop, it never would have happened. I asked why I had not been made aware that the ring could possibly be damaged if resized? An honest jeweler would have brought that to my attention. He was extremely condescending and had the attitude that my ring was not quality and that is why it was damaged. He took absolutely NO responsibility for the damage done to my ring! I thought that as a customer, and because my ring was in fact damaged, the shop and owner would be at least willing to explain why and work with me to try and amend the error. Never did I think that I would be treated as if it was MY fault that the ring was damaged! At one point he said he "was done with me" and just went into the back. He obviously has some anger/personal issues going on. The younger man (I wish I had his name) was apologetic and kind to me. The way I was treated by the owner was really shameful and I left in tears. I also want to add that I had my 3.5 year old son with me. It is really unfortunate that he had to see me being treated this way and to see me so upset.Desired Settlement: I paid $65 for a ring resizing. The ring WAS sized correctly. However, it was returned to me with damage and in a filthy state. I went back in to the shop expecting to come to some kind of resolution or explanation but instead was treated in an inexcusable manner. This is not about the money spent, but rather the fact that they were dishonest with me and treated me in such a poor manner. This was my wedding ring and I trusted them with something extremely personal and valuable. I felt that my trust was completely violated and a customer should never be treated the way that I was.
