Hollern & Sons Auto Sales Reviews (1)

Review: Bought a 2009 Subaru Forester X in November 2013. The salesman over the phone told me that the car was in immaculate condition. Upon arrival here is what I found. Keep in mind I live two hours away and I was driving a rental to pick up this immaculate vehicle. -scratches on the rear fender and rear bumper-tires were at 4/32 (verified by Subaru dealer)-engine belts were recommended to be replaced (they were cracked)-daytime driving lamp was burnt out-heater vent on passenger side was pushed in-vehicle wasn't waxed for pickup-inside of vehicle was very dirty. Dog hair caked in the back seats, and scratches on the passenger instrument panel, and console panel, as well as discoloration.-seats were stained and needed steam cleaned I was given an allowance of $150 to get the car cleaned. A full detail in my area costs $200 including an inside detail. Upon getting daytime driving light and vent fixed Subaru noticed my oil was 2 quarts low. Got an oil change and a consumption test done 4 times. I had to drive to the dealer every 1000 miles to have my oil checked. Subaru is now replacing the engine, and advised me to also replace the clutch assembly. This is another $425. I asked the dealership if they could help out and they absolutely refused. They said that replacing the clutch was not necessary and it was just a suggestion. The Subaru deanships says I have roughly 10-20k miles left on the clutch. The vehicle has 55k miles on it. Shouldn't need a clutch for 100k plus. I am filing this complaint because I feel I was misled into buying a vehicle that was immaculate, but arrived to find a car that was average. I did pay the upper KBB price as well for the vehicle. When I asked if they could do anything about the scratches or tires being so low they said no, and would not adjust price when I was at the dealer.Desired Settlement: I would like them to cover the following costs:1. $50 extra dollars it cost me to get the vehicle completely detailed2. $148 it will cost to get the belts replaced3. Pay for 75% of the clutch installation (around $300)4. Pay for 50% of the cost for new tires on the vehicle (roughly $300)
