Review: I gave this company a $300.00 deposit last 6/1/13. They couldn't do the job when I call** them. I had left several messages that they can come. They call** me that September to come do the job. I didn't want it done then, since the summer was over. We agre** they would do it the following Spring. They call** me in March 2014 to set up a date. I had more work for them, so they made a appointment to come over. They never show** up that day. They finally came another day and now had to get a price and get back to me. They had not gotten back to me with a price or when they can come and do the job. I have many times call** there and left messages and even went to the place of business. I finally ask** for my deposit back and have been calling and going there and getting no where about getting my money back. ** told me I had to give him 30 days, which I did! That was about 3 weeks ago and as of today which I went there again after leaving him a message I was coming to get my money. Because he told me last week I was getting it by the end of last week. I showed up today and he just walked right past me and I said did you get my message and have my money. He keep walking and just said you'll get it in 1 to 2 days. Thats what he keeps telling me. He just keeps lying to me when I do corner him. If not he just doesn't answer my calls or doesn't return them! I just want my $300.00 back. When he came the first time I gave him the deposit he asked for right there on the spot. Thats my money and he did no work for me and I cancelled him since he hasn't come to do anything.Desired Settlement: Like I staed* I want my $300.00 deposit back that I gave him over a year ago.

Review: in nov of 2013 I made a verbal contract with holmdel farms for some landscaping. the owner ** gave me a price and I gave him a delist of $1,000.00. He did not come on the day he said he would come and this went on a couple of times. he finally came a brought dead bushes which he plant** while I wa at work. I asked him to come take them out because they were dead. he didn't deny that but said at that time of year it was hard to find bushes and he would come again in the spring. I agreed and let him keep the deosit and told him I wished to be there the next time he came. he made several appointments with me that he did not keep. I had to leave work early to get there and he never showed. finally he show** up in July with plants that he called bushes, mulch and a couple of workers to complete the job. he said he would finaish the next day with better bushes. since he gave me little resason totrust him I went out to home depot and purchased bushes so at least I would get the benefit of the labor because I ws tired of dealing with him and just wanted the job done. at this point he came when I was not there yet and completed the job that looked pretty nice with the plants that I bought and some of the plants he planted. he finished the job that included putting down lactic under the mulch to stop the grass from coming through the mulch or at least that is what he said he was doing. I paid him the rest of the money. Wihtin a month three of the bushes he brought wet dead or dying and within the second month, the grass was doing through. ed said he was coming back to plant some more bushes I purchased but again he kept breaking the appointments. I told him he needed to come because I was trying to get my house of the market for the fall. I told him the bushes were dying and wanted them replaced. he broke more appointments so I hired someone else to put in the bushes and the landscaper said he never put the plastic down. he ignores my calls and has all my $.Desired Settlement: if he is not going to come and finsih the job by replacing the dead bushes and removing the mulch and putting plastic down and putting new bushes in then I want not only my money back, but I want the money that it cost me to have someone else do the work and the money I spent on the bushes that I bought.

Review: I contracted with Holmdel Farms ("HF") for $1913 to do the spring clean up, trim bushes, plant a crape myrtle tree, and mulch my property. In accordance with the request of the owner, [redacted], I gave him a check for $500 as a deposit. HF was specifically instructed not to touch any of the trees. However, on July 3, 2013, HF entered my property and cut off large, healthy branches from six specimen evergreen trees, including blue spruces and cedars, as well as large branches from a weeping cherry tree. I contacted the owner of Holmdel Farms, [redacted], immediately. He came over, admitted that HF ruined my property, and said he would plant whatever plants I wanted underneath the trees to try to camouflage the damage done to the property, free of charge. After more than two months worth of texts and phone calls to Mr. [redacted] (the most recent made today), and promises by him that he would bring the plants, he never did. On August 5, 2013, Mr. [redacted] asked for an additional $500 because he said he needed money to pay for the plants he would be putting in. He reiterated that this would not be an additional charge to my bill. The plants would be free to me as they were only needed because of the damage he did to my trees. I gave him a check for $500. Again, after many phone calls to his cell phone, as well as his office number, and texts to him, he never showed up with any plants. Both checks were cashed by Holmdel Farms. I now have permanently damaged property because of HF's gross incompetence. I consulted with my tree cutting service contractor, who informed me that the branches that were cut by Holmdel Farms will have to be recut and sealed in order to protect the health of the trees. In addition, I will have to hire another landscaper to purchase and install the plants that Holmdel Farms was supposed to give me to partially cover from view the damage they did to my property. I will also need to replace the weeping cherry tree that was destroyed by HF.Desired Settlement: Holmdel Farms should compensate me for the permanent damage they did to the evergreen trees on my property, as well as reimburse me for the costs to purchase and install the plants needed to mitigate the damage done to my property, and to repair the cuts made to the evergreen trees. I also need to be reimbursed for the cost of purchasing and installing a new weeping cherry tree to replace the one destroyed by Holmdel Farms. Finally, I would like the $1000 I gave as partial payment returned to me.
