Dear *** ***: This is in reference to the customer concern complaint ID #***The complaint submitted by this individual has been exaggerated and is not accurate to what happened on his propertyOur crew was assigned to service and change a sign face on a pylon that was believed to
be on the property of our ultimate customer, ***We were hired by an out-of-town sign company to sub-contract the workWhen our crew arrived onsite, no one was at the car wash, which is located on an out-lot in front of the *** storeWe could only reach the sign from the carwash lot without closing down the street in frontThey assumed this was the same property as the *** storeAccording to the accounts of both of our crew members, when the owner showed up he immediately started yelling at them saying they had destroyed his propertyThe driver assured him that he was careful and never ran over anythingThis irate individual showed him a clean out plug that was missing a four inch scrcap, and again accused the crew member of running over it and destroying itNone of them could find any sign of a piece of this cap anywhereHowever, there was a hardware store nearby and one of our crew went over and bought a new one and screwed it onWhen the incident happened, our lead installer apologized to the individual and let him know he was unaware that he was not permitted to access the sign from thereHe told him that he would pull the truck out immediately without doing the jobThe owner then went on a rampage about how all the grocery trucks use his lot, destroy everything and someone is going to pay for thisHe never told us to get off his property after that, only pointed out how much stuff gets broken by semi-trucksOur crew leader again asked if he wanted them to leave, he never responded, so they went ahead and finished the job they were there to doAs far as loss of business, our crew members noticed very few customers at the car washThey were only blocking two bays, not three, and they never saw any cars pull away because they could not get in; in fact, at one point there was a car in the one stall they were blocking, who had simply pulled in from the opposite sideOur crews assured me that there was never more than two cars there the entire time they were there, most of the time they were all emptyI was on vacation that week and the individual called me twice and left two messagesHe left one on Friday and the second on SaturdaySaturday evening I was listening to my messages, after listening to his first call, I had every intention of calling him back once I had a chance to talk to my crewI had planned on meeting with him to discuss his concerns and resolve the issuesHowever, the second call was extremely demeaning to our company and me personally; he has never met me before, but took it upon himself to verbally insult meIt became very apparent this individual had some issues beyond what I could help him withI decided to wait to hear from him again, when at that time, we could discuss this rationallyHe never contacted me again.
