We could not get Holtzman Home Improvement, LLC to finish work on our project to begin with (2.5 months for a 3 week job), and now they ignore photographic evidence and overpayment concerns, yet again. We sent a thorough, but not exhaustive, list with photos and requests for refunds which went unanswered. Most issues are not new. We have brought these to [redacted] attention throughout our project, and not once has upper management returned to us with a resolution on the joists or the plumbing overcharging issues. We have given them plenty of opportunity to make things right, since September. We emailed a different list of items to several people and left a copy taped to the bathroom door, hoping they would finally finish our project instead of completing one task a week. By the time we were contacted four times for payment, these items still were incomplete. No one came by to walk through and make sure things were finished and clean before demanding payment. No one asked if we were satisfied. We found problem after problem after moving back into our house. We had to remove loads of garbage and thick dust. They need to respond in writing to these issues we have already outlined and sent.

My company did not install the shower door. It was a subcontract that installed the door.  The company is unique widows and doors. The payment was not made a couple of weeks ago either. The job was completed over 2 years ago. The contractor that installed the door is no longer in business....

Holtzman Home Improvement started our bathroom remodel the first week in December 2012 and they told my husband and me they would be finished in 6-8 weeks. They did not finish until June 2013, which was 7 months later.

They are severely understaffed, which is just one contributing factor to the project taking a lengthy 7 months to complete. They promised quick work, honesty, and open communication, none of which were delivered. The owner made excuses for everything that went wrong and he never took responsibility for anything even though it is his company. He blamed several other people but never himself. Based on the owner's actions it is clear that he does not believe the customer is right nor comes first. He never tried to make things right, he just tried to ignore the problem with his lack of communication and then he put "bandaids" over that issues occurred.

He also overcharged us for change orders, stating that it is his right to charge the customer 50% above the regular cost. They also measured our bathroom incorrectly leaving us with less room and never apologized for the mistake nor did they admit that there was a problem. I am the one who brought the mistake to the inspectors attention and the inspector agreed and failed the inspection because of it.

Holtzman also installed our wood french doors and because they did not enclose them right away they got ruined from rain. The french doors began sticking when we opened them and the wood chipped and cracked. And after we expressed our concern to Holtzman they never tried to fix it or replace them.

Other issues such as wrong fixtures being ordered, cutting corners on materials, a broken tub, installing the wrong drywall, and plumbing errors all resulted in further delays. They are unorganized, incompetent, and highly frustrating to work with.

The list goes on and on regarding the poor communication, lack of competence, lies, and lack of responsibility regarding Holtzman Home Improvement and the owner. I would never recommend this company to anyone, unless you want to be disappointed and upset for the entire length of your project.

I had a very good experience with this company. The workmanship is excellent. This company did a beautiful job with my remodel of my bath and kitchen. I would call them first for any additional work. The cost is very reasonable and well worth your dollar.
I especially loved the fact that this company keeps on top of the job and they do not drag out the project.
I highly recommend this company.

You're hilarious! You say how great they are, but gave them 1 star? LMAO! You must work for the company!

Review: Holtzman replaced all the tile through out the main area of the house roughly 2 years ago. The grout between almost all of the new tile is rapidly vanishing and chipping away making the floor difficult, if not impossible, to thoroughly clean; as well as creating a mold risk.

We have called the company and left messages, but have not had any response back.Desired Settlement: We are requesting the company either re-grout all of the tile properly or cover the bill for us to have another company come perform the work.

This happened to me as well! Write the ROC! This business shouldn't be, 'in business' of remodeling anyone's home!

I chose Holtzman home after much research. They were 2nd on my top 3 list. The 1st company I chose flaked on me, so naturally I went with my 2nd choice. They came out and did an estimate, which was favorable and told me they could get it started in the next few weeks.

I wanted something very simple... I wanted my old bath tub removed and a new white tub put in with white tile. I told them my time was very limited, so I needed them to pick the white tile and bath tub. He said that wouldn't be a problem at all. He said in my price range they could also put in a colored boarder tile. This is when it all started to fall apart.

They told me the color I chose for my boarder tile, blue, wasn't a common color in bathrooms... but they found one that worked fine. I just wish they didn't make me feel stupid for wanting a blue boarder tile. I received a picture via email of the tub and of what the boarder would look like... little did I know they couldn't find white tile, so they used the same color of a tile they showed me in a picture for the boarder tile.

I come home to my bathroom completed, but brown tile. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! In my contract it says white tile and at no time did anyone call me and tell me that they were not putting in the white tile that I asked for.

I called them to let them know that the tile color was wrong and not what I asked for and let them know I was very unhappy with the color. The response I got was "this is why I don't choose things for people!" How hard is it to pick white tile? Come on. They were very rude about me asking for them to put in the correct tile, and very unprofessional. At no time did they even apologize, they just tried to make it my fault. But still in my contract it says white tile. I really don't know how you mess that up.

My husband and I ended up just keeping what they did, as I didn't want these people in my house any longer, nor did I want to deal with their unprofessionalism. So now I'm stuck with a bathroom tile that I hate... but at least I no longer have to deal with unprofessionals.

I even told them we were going to want our other bathroom done early next year, which would cost twice what our spare bathroom cost, but I guess they don't need business.

The did a decent job, they replace all the plumbing and so far everything seems to be working well, so their work is good... but as far as someone you can count on to put in the right tile or be professional on the phone... forget it!

Review: About a year and a half ago, Holtzman installed a shower for me. It leaked everywhere. They had to come back 5 times because they could not fix the leak. A couple of weeks after making final payment, the shower started leaking again. It started as a small leak on one side of the shower. Now it is leaking all over and damaging grout and drywall. The shower is unusable.Desired Settlement: I'd like the contractor to fix their work. I called the owner and explained the issue. He said he would call me back with an appointment time and never did. I paid more than $3600 for a shower that I can't use.

Holtzman Home Improvement did an excellent job in the bathroom tub remodel I requested. The quote/pricing was fair, especially in comparison to other quotes I had received.Each step of the remodel was communicated effectively and executed promptly. The workers continued to work when my air conditioner went out. Holtzman sent electricians and repaired a hole in my wall with no extra charge. The tub remodel turned out beautifully and they have even phoned post remodel to make sure there are no concerns. I strongly recommend Holtzman Home Improvement.

Holtzman Home Improvement installed new hard wood floors, a backsplash in our kitchen, and several other jobs in our home. All of it was done with the highest quality, both in the products and customer service. I don't hesitate to recommend them. They had the best pricing amongst several quotes we received for the floors, and also installed in the committed time frame.
