To Whom it May Concern, [redacted] Family Health Center (HFHC) has been in business for years and our #goal is patient care.A patient will not be scheduled for an appointment in our office unless he/she called and scheduled the appointmentWe allocate and reserve a time for the patient to be seen by a provider in our officeOur company policy clearly states taht there is a hour cancellation window for your appointment, otherwise, an $no show fee will be assessed to their accountWhen a patient doesn't show up for their appointment it cost the company money as well as we have assigned a provider to the patient for a specific time slotWe understand in some cases emergencies come up and we work with our patients towards a fair resolutionWe do not take lightly to those with no excuse for missing their appointment.I did call the patient back and left messagesI was out of the office when the patient came in to discuss the charges and my Billing personnel spoke to the patient in my absenceI was told by Billing that the patient was very rude to her and the other staff members.The patient states that she was no longer a patient at HFHC but yet needed a refill on her medicationShe was last seen in our office in Oct In order to refill her medication, she would have to be seen by a provider in our office as this is the medical protocol we have to follow by lawHer refill was NOT denied because she owed a balance as she has statedDue to conflict of interest between the patient and HFHC, we discharged the patient on 10/21/16; letter delivered via certified mailI also had billing waive her $no show fee at the time of discharge.Sincerely, [redacted] Office Manager [redacted] Family Health Center

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to
complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to
me in regards to BILL; however that being said their customer
service in billing
was terrible and they literally made me BEG and make my business known
to other patients in waiting room regarding this issue. Also they did
deny my medication it was request by CVS was in August and not October,
so NO it was not the one year mark as *** *** states , if she was
so concerned about their patients well-being refill would have been
granted. She also states that they make every effort to help their
patients and understand that emergencies can happen; how did they really make the effort here, NO effort only higher blood pressure to me due to situation and steps I had to take in order to make things right!Thank you,
