Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]i am not and was not looking for money from the dealership. I respectfully decline to invitation to buy a vehicle of any sorts from them as I do not feel that they would be fair and honest in their business practices. I reviewed their response and while they admitted that the price was incorrect they still failed to sell at this price and instead offer other options.
Wisconsin Statutes section 100.18 prohibits deceptive advertising and sales practices, including “bait and switch” practices. In a typical “bait and switch” scheme, a seller offers an attractive bargain on an advertised item. But when the customer responds to the advertisement, the seller disparages the advertised item or states that it has “sold out.” The seller then attempts to sell a substitute item at a higher price. This law is supposed to protect consumers from this exact situation happening and I do not believe that this dealership realizes this. It is unfair and illegal! There was a lot of fine print attached to their supposed resolution which I find ridiculous!!

Holz Motors-Watertown. The math that was used to arrive at the Buick Enclave
pricing shown on our Holz Motors-Watertown website beginning on December 1st was as follows:MSRP $49,625Holz discount - less $2556Buick December Holiday Event 15% off MSRP incentive - less
$7444Price $39,625Sometime between our December 1st dealership
price load and the guest seeing the vehicle on our Holz Motors-Watertown
website on December 3rd, General Motors third party digital administrator
performed an automatic price update on vehicles that qualified for the Buick
December Holiday Event 15% off MSRP incentive. The math was erroneously changed
to the following:MSRP $49625Buick December Holiday Event 15% off MSRP incentive - less
$7444Buick December Holiday Event 15% off MSRP incentive - less
$7444Price $34,737The General Motors third party digital administrator
automatic price update to vehicles affected under the Buick December Holiday
Event 15% off MSRP resulted in the erroneous removal of the $2556 Holz
discount, left our original $7444 Holiday 15% discount in the math, and
erroneously subtracted an additional $7444 Holiday 15% discount from the math. We
believe the General Motors third party digital administrator automatic price
update took place in the very early am hours of December 3rd.Our Holz Motors Watertown sales representative did offer to
sell the vehicle to the guest at the $39,625 pricing, but not at the erroneous
$34,737 price temporarily displayed due to the programing errors created
between our manual Holz Motors Watertown website pricing of this vehicle and
General Motors third party digital administrator automatic price update. Holz
Motors Watertown Sales Representative [redacted]’s description of his phone
conversation with the guest is attached along side this attached company
response. The vehicle this guest was interested in has been sold and
delivered to a different guest. We would be more than happy to try and find
another Enclave at a different Buick dealership that qualifies for the Buick
December Holiday Event 15% MSRP pricing. We only had one Enclave at our
dealership that qualified for that special incentive. If we could find a
comparable Enclave with an identical MSRP of $49625 that qualifies for the special
incentive and if we are able to trade for it from the other Buick dealership,
we would duplicate the $39,625 price that included a Holz discount and the
Buick December Holiday Event 15% off MSRP incentive, plus we would subtract an
additional $500 goodwill adjustment. We need to emphasize that the select Enclaves
under the Buick December Holiday Event 15% off MSRP incentive program are hard
to locate and trade for, so we cannot guarantee that we will be able to
successfully complete a trade and structure an ultimate transaction for this
guest. But we will try as hard as we possibly can if that is what the guest
would like us to do. The sooner we would have direction to proceed the better
chance we would have of securing a select vehicle before the program ends on
January 4th, 2016. As a final alternate of choice, if the guest intends to
purchase an Enclave elsewhere, Holz Motors Watertown will process a goodwill
check in the amount of $500 made payable to the guest to help with their
purchase elsewhere. We offer this alternate of choice as an option due to the
inconvenience we caused this guest.

The 2008 Malibu Ms. [redacted] purchased from us on April 30, 2014 came to our used vehicle inventory as a new vehicle trade in from right here at Holz Motors. The previous owner who traded it in had purchased it new from Holz Motors in 2008. The vehicle has a very...

nice documented history of ownership. We saftey inspected the vehicle and found the transmission to be functioning fine at the time of that inspection. Ms. [redacted] did purchase the vehicle AS IS, but after only two weeks of ownership if we were asked we would have offered her financial assistance with the repair. In conversation with our Used Vehicle Manager [redacted] Diamnet this afternoon, Ms. [redacted] said that she did not ask us for help , or notify us that she had a transmission issue with the Malibu. Our first knowledge of the problem was this complaint filed through the Revdex.com. In an effort of complete customer satisfaction, we have issued a check to Ms. [redacted] for the entire amount ($2770.10) of the transmission repair. She has told us that she is once again happy with Holz Motors.
Used Vehicle Manager [redacted]'s notes from his conversation and copy of issued check are attached for reference.

Review: We were looking into buying a vehicle and had been doing research online. We came across a vehicle online at Holz in Watertown. The list price on the vehicle was $34,737. We were excited to find a vehicle and called to make sure it was there before we drove to purchase. When we inquired about the vehicle, we did find that it was there but were told the price was not as listed online. It was $39000. Now that is a $5000 discrepancy that we were told was loaded incorrectly. We informed them that this was false advertising and that they had to honor the price as listed on their website but they refused and told us there was nothing we could do about it.Desired Settlement: We would like to purchase that exact vehicle at the listed price on their website.

Review: We had went in to trade in my daughter's car (which was also purchased from Holz 6 months prior because of the after market sunroof that leaked to the point of flooding when it rained that Holz refused to admit was the problem.). Now we have purchased all of our vehicles from there for years without any incident, until now. I thought that "upgrading" 5 years from a 2003 to a 2008 would be a good thing. Turns out it cost me MORE money in the long run. She hadn't even had the car 2 weeks before that transmission went on her out of the blue. I understand that I bought a used car and had no warranty, but sort of knew something was up when I saw that they stamped in bold red letters AS IS NO WARRANTY on the bill of sale (they hadn't done that on the one for the 2003...which should have told me that something could be wrong), so unfortunately when it happened I had no recourse with Holz. The place where I had her car fixed also said that there would have been some warning that it was going or going to go (which she is ** and a good & cautious driver and very careful with her car) so by Holz doing that and trying to rush the sale tells me they wanted it gone before the transmission DID go and THEY would have had to replace it before they sold it. The salesman told us even though we gave him earnest money that even if we came back the next day with the money they wouldn't be able to give us the $2800 trade in on her old car because it was the end of the month...my second hhhmmm moment because we had bought another car years back from there at the end of the month and because of how late we were there and when the salesman got off work were able to wait till the next day (the 1st) for the financing to go through. So instead of being able to go to the bank and get a cashier's check like I would have wanted I ended up writing a personal check for the car. So while her transmission was being rebuilt so that the car would be SAFE for her to drive (shame on Holz for selling an UNSAFE car to a single mother and her 17 year old daughter that they KNEW was going to be driving the car) my daughter was without her car for another 2-1/2 weeks, which meant she had to use my car to go back and forth to work which was a hardship on me because I am also disabled and have doctor appointments and hospital appointments that I need to get to as well. This whole situation has made me rethink my families relationship with Holz I always thought that they were an honest upstanding family oriented dealership. This sadly is most certainly NOT the case , [redacted]!Desired Settlement: My desired outcome if for no other reason then to show that they acknowledge the fact that they are truly apologetic for the "bad taste" they left with me and my family is to reimburse me the $2770.10 that I had to pay to have the car fixed so that it is SAFE for my ** year old daughter to drive (which was a hardship for me to have to pay out after what I paid for her car...I'm not made of money). Because right now at this point and after what the garage told me about it, I have no doubt in my mind that Holz KNEW that the transmission was on it's last leg and wanted it GONE before THEY had to incur a cost to fix it. So I think it's only right.

Review: The sticker on the window (Wisconsin Buyers Guide) stated there was no cruise control problem and the box was not checked stating cruise control was not equipped. The 172 point inspection done by Holz Motors on the vehicle stated that the inspection was completed on the cruise control. However, the car did not have cruise control. I discovered this while driving the vehicle home after purchasing the vehicle. I contacted the dealership and they made me pay to have cruise control installed. I told them I was not satisfied with having to pay for this but no offer was made by the dealership to make this right.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $404.66 that it cost to have the cruise control installed.

Response:
In an effort of complete customer satisfaction Holz Motors, Inc. has prepared and mailed a check in the amount of $404.66 to re-imburse the purchasers their expense to install cruise control on their 2013 Chevrolet Cruze. Took my truck to Holz for a noisy belt and a transmission leak. Was told the belt made noise because I put belt dressing on, although I told them it was making the same noise before the dressing. They insisted I needed a new belt which I knew was not the case. Also told me I had to replace three transmission hoses. I inquired why all three hoses were needed if only one was leaking was told this is what I needed. The fee quoted was Approx $400 for the belt and $1200 for the transmission hoses. I picked up my vehicle without any work performed and paid Holz $104.00. I took the vehicle to a reputable transmission shop and they fixed one transmission hose for a price of $211.20. They also applied some dressing to the belt at no charge which took care of the squeak. After work was completed at the transmission place, I got a written quote in the mail from HOlz for $1601.00 for all of the same work…..quite a bit more than $211.20. I asked the transmission place about the other two hoses, they said they were good and it was rare that they leaked - they were surprised the once had a leak as the vehicle only has under 40,000 miles. Also Holz asked me up front how I was going to pay for the repair. After thinking about it, I said credit and I wonder why they needed to know that information when I checked in -- possibly to add to the repair cost to cover the cost of the credit card??? I definitely will never go back to Holz Chevrolet again.

Holz tricked me into coming to the dealership and tried to sell me a vehicle other than the one that was advertised I was led to believe that after doing all the paper work on line, and making an appointment to purchase, that I could take delivery on this day. When I got there I was told the truck was sold yesterday. Then why was the ad still up and why would they have me fill out paper work and a loan app.on a vehicle they no longer had? Bait and switch.I doubt there ever was such a vehicle.Especially after stopping there daily for the last month to check inventory.I never saw this truck on the lot.BAIT AND SWITCH!!

Review: I was at State Fair and I was given a promotion card to received a $50 gift card if I test drove a Chevrolet vehicle. The card came with instructions to fill out information on the internet. I comple[redacted] the information and then went to Holz Chevrolet for a test drive. After the test drive with Sale associate [redacted] he was unable to validate my e-mail address to receive the $50 gift card. He notified his supervisor & they attemp[redacted] to call Chevrolet's corporate office; but the call went to voice mail. I then e-mail Chevrolet's corporate office & they replied that this is a LOCAL offer through the dealerships and I'd have to get the gift card from Holz. The e-mail further sta[redacted] that they spoke to Sales Manager [redacted] to get this issue resolved. I then e-mail Sales associate [redacted] & got no reply. After that I e-mailed [redacted] and also got NO REPLY. I have saved all my e-mails regarding this gift card offer if you'd like to read them. It's been a month since the test drive & it's my concern that the dealership & the corporate office will NOT honor the "Local Test Drive Event" $50 gift card offer.Desired Settlement: I simply want a $50 gift card to Target as promised for doing the test drive

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: My daughter-in-law had extensive work done on her 2003 Buick Rendezous at Holz Motors on May 20, 2013 with [redacted] miles on it. The work included installing a rebuilt engine, replacing the fuel sensor, alternator, 4 wheel alignment, front hub and speed sensor, rear steering knuckles. This repair cost her 7806.50. On May 20 she took it back because the anti lock brake light was on, this connection was fixed at no charge, was told the engine had light power because it needed to be broke in. On Oct. 22 she had to take her vehicle back because there was a antifreeze leak, was charged $25 for a new radiator cap and $48 to install it. When she brought the car in this time and they called with quote to fix, she said she did not want the to fix it for this price and they said she would have to pay $95 for diag. charge, so she felt she had no choice but to pay the $73 for a new radiator cap that anyone could change for the price of the cap from a parts store. The very night that she brought the car home she had another leak. She took it back the next day and they said now that it was the water pump leaking and was told it would cost her 415.15 to fix this problem. She called me and we went to pick up her car and took it to a small garage where they fixed the water pump and a new belt for $175. I have heard of horror stories of dealerships ripping customers off, but would of thought that in todays economy customers would be treated better. I believe that Holz Motors ripped her off on every job that they did for her.Desired Settlement: I would like Holz Motors to give her a refund on some of the repairs that she had done, especially the $77 to replace the radiator cap, and refund her some of the labor that was charged when she had the engine replaced because these other parts should of been looked at then.

Our [redacted] and [redacted] at our [redacted] location have attempted to reach the person making this complaint, but have been unable to speak with her. However, they have been able to reach her daughter-in-law Ms. [redacted] who is [redacted] of the vehicle involved within the complaint, and she is our customer. Ms. [redacted] expressed to our [redacted] that she was unaware that this complaint had been filed on her behalf. In the spirit of customer goodwill, our [redacted] location has issued a check to cover our charges for the radiator cap replacement, and the charges for the "small garage" repair of the water pump and belt. The total of the check is $252. We value Ms. [redacted] as a customer of our organization, and hope this monitary gesture helps her mother-in-law feel better with the results from her Revdex.com complaint. A copy of our letter to Ms. [redacted] along with a copy of the check are attached.  Sincerely,  [redacted] [redacted]
