I am rejecting this response because:Yes in March Homco was contacted requesting a quote to perform workIn may the quote was approvedHomco never advised there was a service charge for quoting the job, calls made to ask questions, or his expenses for each time he drove the the job siteThe page letter described is very vague without a clear break down of hours spent on each activity, or a clear break down and cost for materialsAs a previous small business owner/operator repairing general aviation aircraft, I do understand the challenges of operating a business, charging the customer by the hour, and I understand that Homco is entitled to be compensated for the work they performed, however cleaning less than half of the roof and less than half of the homes exterior does not entitle Homco to charge $for an incomplete jobFrom the time Homco terminated or quit the job, all communication was lost, Mr [redacted] would not return phone calls, and only would communicate thru occasional texts, and even threatened to call the police on me if I were to go by his place of business to pick up the refund checkI was trying to communicate and work out an amicable resolve, But it was all one sided with Homco holding my money, and deciding on his own how this was going to work outAll I want is to be treated fairly! Sincerely [redacted] ***

Email received from business: Homco did the original work describedWhen customer was first met all details and description of job were givenAlso provided was a pamphlet of the ready seal product to be appliedThe customer seemed comfortable with all things discussed including regular
cleaning and maintenance of decks. I have a ready seal pamphlet if one needs to be sent If you google it,it will be the 1st one that should come upBasically the fold pamphlet is a copy of the website..Once the customers deck was properly cleaned and stained it was inspected by mrAnderson in agreement there were a couple of minor spots that needed to be touched up --underneath the bottom rail and a couple spindlesOnce the touch ups were complete the *** agreed that it was complete and paid the invoice. The first I was alerted of any issues was at the end of augustIt was clearly stated they wanted a refundI asked for pics and some were providedI then asked for them to send me additional pics of the deck in its entirety so we could decide what was going onI did receive a few new picshowever, most were the same pics as before but in different angles. I then asked if they had shoveled, washed , or had any maintenance done to the deckThe response was that they had shoveled in the winter and how I had insulted them on their lack home ownership knowledge in my comments

With only a small portion of the relationship stated and the parts of March,April,May,June left outI wouldn't have a response to the end of the relationship other than to be very careful if one decides to work for the said partyIn all my years I have never been spoken to in this manor nor have I
worked for anyone whom can set your prices and tell someone how many hrs you actually worked on a job having not been there or not being in the industryThe party was sent a very descriptive page letter of work completed There will be no more refund grantedEven as small as it may appear their refund isWhen documented Time and materials are considered that is the amount

I am rejecting this response because:Yes in March 2017 Homco was contacted requesting a quote to perform work. In may 2017 the quote was approved. Homco never advised there was a service charge for quoting the job, calls made to ask questions, or his expenses for each time he drove the the job site. The 2 page letter described is very vague without a clear break down of hours spent on each activity, or a clear break down and cost for materials. As a previous small business owner/operator repairing general aviation aircraft, I do understand the challenges of operating a business, charging the customer by the hour, and I understand that Homco is entitled to be compensated for the work they performed, however cleaning less than half of the roof and less than half of the homes exterior does not entitle Homco to charge $3663.00 for an incomplete job. From the time Homco terminated or quit the job, all communication was lost, Mr [redacted] would not return phone calls, and only would communicate thru occasional texts, and even threatened to call the police on me if I were to go by his place of business to pick up the refund check. I was trying to communicate and work out an amicable resolve, But it was all one sided with Homco holding my money, and deciding on his own how this was going to work out. All I want is to be treated fairly! Sincerely[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
If the pictures that were provided were not satisfactory, then the business owner should have offered to come inspect the deck himself. This is not a small area that is affected, it is the majority of the main part of the deck.  His responses via email during our requests were rude and unprofessional.  We asked for a refund or to have them come fix the work that was done.  The refund requested was not in full, but to cover the cost of redoing the work that is needing to be done.
