*** *** did represent our company as an independent contractor but is no longer with usWe have not updated the websiteAt the time *** knocked on the complaintee's home, he did not have a "no soliciting sign" Now that he said his name , I do remember him calling us about ***His said "there is two black guys in our neighborhood, casing our house pretending to be ADT representatives." At that point I confirmed *** was an outside Sales repI proceeded to tell him *** was a great guy and was an outstanding veteran who was selling alarmsI told him we would tell *** not to knock on his doorA few days later we receive a message from a customerHe stated that there was a post on social media app, Next Door in which someone by the name of *** *** posted something *** (please see attached)This was very disappointingEven after I had confirmed *** was an outside representative, Mr *** lied about not being able to confirm *** and proceeded to scare the neighborhoodAGain, *** did knock on his door but there wasn't a no soliciting sign there at the time. I do not know who is ***Still not sure who he is talking about. *** ***

Response to the [redacted] Complaint. Outside sales reps are not employees of this company. They are independent contractors. [redacted], who is not a customer of ours complained about a first sales rep, but did not give any information about the sales rep, so we are not sure how to respond. The...

second sales rep [redacted] is not an employee of ours.There are dozens of Alarm companies, to include different ADT Authorized Dealerships out there and many door knock neighborhoods for lead generation. Maybe [redacted] belong to another ADT Dealership. Thank you[redacted]

They are correct, I am not a client of theirs because I wouldn't buy from a company that uses their overly aggressive sales tactics. As a non-client, but someone who has twice been subjected to their inappropriate and illegal sales tactics I felt it important that someone report their behavior of violating San Diego Municipal Code 33.1410"It is unlawful for ANY person to ring the doorbell of a residence, rap or knock on any door, or create any sound in a manner calculated to attract attention for the purpose of engaging in activity as a solicitor or interviewer if the occupants have posted on the premises “No solicitors,” “No soliciting,” “No solicitors or peddlers,” or any similar language clearly denying invitation and entry to solicitors. San Diego Municipal Code 33.1410The first salesperson who aggressively entered our property after being told NO was [redacted] who is plainly shown on their website as a "Team Member" and "Home Security Consultant" (https://www.yourhomealarm.com/contact-us). He left the EXACT same card as pictured above but with his name. After his attempt to enter our property and after I had to step in and repeatedly told him no while confronting him at my gate, he left his card (which I have since thrown away) but placed a call to the the company and complained being told they would speak to [redacted] and also lodged a complaint with SDPD.The second attempt by [redacted] A, who left a card clearly stating that he is with the same company, whether "independent contractor" or not, he is representing their company and boldly told me he chose to ignore the no soliciting sign which is as clearly posted as possible on our front gate which he had to pass through. I also called and reported this incident to the SDPD.[redacted] called me on July 3rd at 9:54AM PST and left a message to which I promptly called back and have not heard back since.
