Great service From Esther Robert!!!
My name is Jeri and I had recently signed with the Home and Apartments finders Group for assistance in finding an apartment. I must say my experience with the company has exceeded my expectations. I have found this company to be very efficient, reliable, and friendly, and always going the extra mile to ensure you have all the necessary information needed. I was immediately assigned a caseworker, Ms. Esther Roberts. She has made this process worth the while. Ms. Roberts has been in frequent communication with me, and I was recommended several places to apply after I thought I was helpless. She is very dedicated to her job, and I would highly recommend the Home and Apartment Finders to anyone who is have issues finding a place. Their staff is friendly and competent to get the job done.
Sincerely Jeri Martin Chicago
Great service From Esther Robert!!!

I had received a call from Home and Apartment Finders after putting in an online request looking for assistance. I received a call from a number based in New York, who explained what they do, and asked for payment. When I went forward with the service, and received the list of homes that they gave me to search for in Florida, many of the homes they gave me were no longer available for rent. They also asked for what I was looking for on back to back nights, as if they didn't even record what I was asked the first time I gave information on what I was looking for. Several of the numbers I attempted to call were no longer working either. I was able to hunt down a phone number which was working, and the company had 3 homes listed that I was interested in. I forwarded this information to them, including a working contact number, and they took two days to get back to me, only after I asked via email several times for an update. They came back to me stating that one of the homes was no longer available, and they had to leave messages about the other two phones. During the email exchange, I noticed that emails sent to me were worded the exact same way, with the exact same message, but different people signing these emails. When I returned one of their phone calls in the middle of this exchange, the person who I spoke with initially with the New York phone number answered what was a St Louis phone number that was given to me to use and from which they were now calling me. I did a phone number search in google, and it hit on an escort service. 4 of the top 6 links came up with active escort service web pages. They insisted that they are not affiliated with any escort service when I emailed asking about this, and asking for a refund at this time. They kept insisting that they were not involved with the escort service, and would also not give me a refund. Instead wanted to keep calling me to tell me how their business worked. I have not heard back from them in almost a week pertaining to my refund.

Revdex.com Complaint #***SummaryThis seems like it is a typical complaint using the BB as blackmail in order to get a refund after receiving services. Our firm lost a lot because this client had a double agenda with his order. Our company is happy to give refunds if no service is given or they misrepresented by an agent. This is not case here.We upset her, soon after she requested a refund. When she was refused a refund, she found any excuse in the book to say we were a scam. She even found an old phone number of an escort service used one of our axillary phone numbers over 8 years ago. This complaint has exposed our company to a reputational risk. Upon precise investigation, we have found that all these statements are false and malicious. Our business is based on trust and values. Spreading such statements will harm the sakes and reputation of our company. She had requested we help get into many places. Two of which said they would work with him. Shethen decided, or reasons other than access, not to accept them. Why have us work on getting her into a place then decide not to rent. That is where she should have been stopped yet we continued to give her services. On June 16th, 2020, Client ordered our service. We processed the order and card holders’ charges with authorize.net. The address was verified by the bank on zip code and street address as well as the Clients CVV card number. The customer was notified of the terms of service before completing the transaction, ensuring the customer knew what to expect. On June 16th, 2020, Client received her receipt for listings and invoice of 169.99. The invoice #*** was sent out on June 16th, 2020. The invoice clearly states clearly in bold red letters that the order is non-refundable and that the order is sent to the email provided from the card holder. Client responded " I understand fee is not refundable” confirming that she received his listings and understood the terms. On June 16th 2020, the order of a 42-page listing was sent to ***. Client responded that she received the listings and showed interest in multiple listings. We then tried contacting to get some information from him but received no response. On Friday June 19th, 2020 Client then blackmailed us with 2 screenshots linking our phone number to an active escort website. Customer then demanded a refund. We then tried contacting again to inform him how our business works, but she responded that she was at work and repeatedly told us our business was tied to an escort site. She then started threatening us by stating “I am reporting you to the Revdex.com and FTC”.

Customer then stated a blackmail “Just a reminder I see my refund by the end of the day today, or I'm reporting you.” We did not refund. We explained to the customer that we have NO affiliation with any escort sites, but she responded thatshe wanted no attempts to explain the business.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:
First of all, you can see in my screen shot, unlike their explanation, the phone number they provided has been used 5 times since 2018 on an escort site, not over 8 years ago. A simple google search will pull this information for anyone to see.

Second, when referring to someone who clearly has a male name, they keep referring to me as a she, so they can't even get that straight. Certainly raises questions about the validity of their business. You would think something that simple would be something they can get right.

Third, as I have shown in screenshots, I never received update emails as they have claimed in their screen shots. They also didn't "prove" anything by showing their web page, as I was able to show above they were wrong in how recent their phone number was tied to an escort service. Anyone can create a bogus web page with a number that's also used for something else.

Fourth, you can see when I provided the same number for 3 properties, they claim one wasn't available, but had to leave a message due to no answer on the other two?

Fifth, two emails from them, 6 minutes apart, worded in the same manner, yet signed by two different people

Finally, they never at any point contacted me about how this place would work with me.

I asked for a refund due to multiple inconsistencies with their emails, their stories, and the fact even with different names, they all sounded the same. Including the person who called from the New York number from the initial call who suddenly answered the phone number with the St Louis number claiming they were busy and needed to call back.

All I ask for is a refund, due to the fact there are many things shady about this business and the fact they couldn't even provide a list of properties that were active or with working numbers.

Sincerely

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:Their explanations never happenedI never once taunted them on the telephone, nor did I ever cuss them out at any point. My wife never once called them, as she asked me to take care of this. I also have a deeper voice which has NEVER been mistaken for me being a woman. If they address me by name, ***, yet say I sound like a woman? interesting take on that one. So these are blatantly false and lies. Therefore there is no recording of either happening.I had already spoken to 2 individuals asking the same exact questions pertaining to "needing more information", why would they need a 3rd person to do the same.I showed email proof of 3 properties for them to follow up on, which they also showed that I gave them in their last follow up letter. I had to get the contact information for them, as the numbers they gave me didn't work. Which they even admitted in screen shots they sent to Revdex.com that they contacted all three (One wasn't available, two they left messages on, strangely, when all 3 had the same number I found for them). But now they claim I only sent them 1 property? So they can't even keep that record straight. Also, between 2 cities, it was actually over 70 listings (many of which were no longer available, or did not having working phone numbers) so yet another change in their story. My wife did believe that at the end of a year long lease, she did not need to give a 30 day notice. How can you be evicted when you already moved out and into a new place?I never stated they were an escort service. I simply pointed out that their phone number they use is tied to an escort service. Their first reply was it was 8 years ago the number was used by an escort service. Then after showing that there were 5 ads since May of 2018, their defense changes? Their argument in point 3 contradicts their argument in point 11. Point 3 says it's slanderous that I stated their phone number was used by an escort service, meaning it was false (Also contradicts their original argument last time it was used by an escort service 8 years ago), then point 11 stated it was used in the past (therefore I can not slander them, it's true), but instead it was a number that was reissued 1-2 years later. Which so happens to work perfectly with the fact I proved the number has been used as an escort service within the last two years.I never had an issue with getting emails from different people working within a company. I stated the problem was the wording of the emails were virtually the exact same, yet from two different people 5 minutes apart. It is easy to change the signature of an email.

Sincerely

On 6-15, I paid $119.00 for a list of apartments and for the above mentioned company to assist me with finding a place to stay. I sent an email with the list of apartments I like and haven't heard anything so I called today and the person I spoke with told me that I have to wait until someone calls me. The second part is that the lady I spoke with said that that I would be assigned a caseworker and that never happened
I explained to this person that my children and me were homeless so I don't have 100 dollars to throw away

Home and Apartment Finders.com Response • Jul 06, 2020

This customer had decided from the inception that he would report us to Revdex.com. It has come to our attention that false accusations have been made against our company.

This is a typical complaint using the BB as blackmail in order to get a refund perhaps after finding a place. This is common. We got him accepted in more than one that he sent in for us to call for him.

This has exposed our company to a reputational risk. Upon precise investigation, we have found that all these statements are false and malicious. We have the best teams who do research and development to create outstanding results for our customers. Our business is based on trust and values. Spreading such statements will harm the sakes and reputation of our company. On May 7th, 2020, at 3:03 PM, Cardholder ordered our service. We processed the order and card holders’ charges with authorize.net. The address was verified by the bank on zip code and street address as well as the cardholders CVV card number. The customer was notified of the terms of service before completing the transaction, ensuring the customer knew what to expect. On May 11th 2020, Cardholder received his receipt for listings and invoice of 49.99, a partial payment. The invoice #1905954 was sent out on May 11th, 2020. The invoice clearly states clearly in bold red letters that the order is non-refundable and that the order is sent to the email provided from the card holder. That same day at 8:08 AM, he received his 29-page listings via email to [email protected] . Cardholder responded "Received, thank you." at 8:36 AM, confirming that he received his listings and understood the terms.

That same day at 2:03 PM, he informed us that he needed a property that accepts section 8, which was his main criteria. On May 12th 2020, at 6:28 AM, Cardholder emailed us requesting more listings. The second payment’s invoice *** was sent out on May 12th, 2020, confirming full payment. On May 12th, 2020 at 8:53 AM, he responded to our first receipt (Sent on May 11th 2020) asking why we charged him.

He also threatened to report our company and used foul language. He also stated that he received no emails from our company. This is inaccurate because listings were sent on May 11th 2020, at 8:08 AM, and he responded thanking us for the listings. Again, on May 12th 2020, 10:06 AM, he threatened to report us to the Revdex.com and take us to court. He stated he did not receive his listings. This is inaccurate because he did receive his listings.

On May 12th 2020, at 10:15 AM we emailed him with new listings specifically section 8. We also explained that there is a onetime fee of 99.99 and for us to speak to the landlords he would REQUIRE to make a full payment. NOTE: He only made a partial payment of $49.99. On May 12, 2020 at 11:34 AM we sent him an invoice for his second payment completing the full payment. On May 13th 2020, he responded thanking us that he received his listings. On May 13th and 14th he responded interested in multiple listings.

On May 15th 2020, we informed him that we were working with some landlords and needed a copy of his section 8, to see what kind of voucher he had. He never sent the required document. That same day we also requested information on what kind of Handicap accessible united he needed. We asked for a copy.

On May 18th 2020, we requested a copy of the section 8 voucher again. On June 5th 2020, he responds that we needed to contact his case worker via email and request what we need from her specifically, this was his last email to us. That same day we emailed his case worker ***, requesting a copy of his section 8.

His case worker never responded. On June 8th 2020, we sent him a follow up of new listings. On June 9th, 2020 we sent him application for residency, documents needed to apply and a property brochure from *** that was leasing. On June 16th 2020, we followed up with multiple listings.

On June 19th, we emailed him with a screenshot displaying proof that we contacted his case worker via email. That same day we sent him a new set of listings. On June 23rd, 2020 we sent him a new set of listings. He had never contacted us ever since we requested a copy of his Section 8.

To Whom it May Concern, On Sunday 5/10/2020 I contacted home and apartment *** regarding a service I paid for on 4/17/2020 that was never provided to me. The person I spoke with was ***. I explained to *** that I was not provided the service I paid for. Home and Apartment Finders was supposed to assist me in ***g a rental unit. They were to provide me with listing that included properties they work with and my job was to call and see if they had available units. If the property had available units I was to provide the property name and number to Home and Apartment *** and they would reach out to the property. The listings I was sent were from a public database and the majority of the properties were unavailable at the time. I called and spoke to someone regarding this and was sent a second listing that contained a majority of the same properties. Upon calling these properties most never heard of or worked with Apartment Finders. Some of the listings were in high crime drug infested neighborhoods. No one from the company reached out to me regarding my complaint or to follow up and when I called to request a refund I was told I would receive a refund by ***. On 5/15/2020 I called *** back to see when I would receive the refund and *** said he would look up the information because he had to reach out to someone named John and he would give me a call back. *** did not call me back instead he sent an email with a lot of false information that basically says I’m not being refunded. When I tried calling the company back my calls either go to voicemail or I’m told *** is not there.
After several days of trying to contact *** and getting the run around I was sent an email that listed a property I called from the list that DID NOT fit my needs with a tour scheduled without my permission for a tome that I never agreed to and I also worked during that time. The apartments were also in a heavy drug and crime area. *** lies and stole from a mother and her child during a pandemic.

The business called her and worked things out with her directly.

Home and Apartment Finders.com Response • Jun 03, 2020

We received her request for a refund. She had claimed the listings did not answer. Before review, I said ok and would give her a refund.

When compliance had checked, the first place they called said they knew her and were waiting for her application they sent her. Since I looked silly toi our staff as they said she found a place already.

I called her back and even texted her to call me back, yet she never did. That was two weeks ago. or the 15th of last month. She explained she did not want to talk to anyone at that point and did not anser my callse.

Our conversation went further and I explained we get requests for refunds all the time from people whom use our listings to find a place. She convinced me she was not one of those type and I again promised her a refund.

Here is my letter bask to her today:

Terrible. Do not waste your money. They lie about how you’re spending your money with them. I was asked how their service worked and application fees to apartments and such. I was told verbatim “ahhh I was just getting to that. You pay $99 to us and we bypass all the fees with the apartments because they’re willing to work with us” total scam. I paid my $99 and they could only find one apartment complex to work with that I had to pay app and admin fees to. I asked why and repeated what the first rep had told me about the $99 and the second rep tried to tell me “the $99 pays for our services. Not the apartments fees” boyyyyyyy, I could have saved my money. There are other apartment finders that do this for free. DO NOT DO IT.

I paid a fee for a service that supposed to help you find affordable housing in 5 to 30 days but it’s already been several weeks and so far all I’m getting is the runaround as to why they haven’t found a place for myself and my disabled husband and I’m finding it very difficult to speak with anyone about my concerns, I’m only able to correspond by emails and even this is becoming difficult I’ve only spoken to one person so far but when I try to call back the call hangs up at this point I’m not sure what I can do. I contacted these people because my husband and I are disabled and need to find a place before a certain date because the owner’s are trying to sell there home and I’m not trying to be homeless during a pandemic can you please help me with this situation? Thank you ????

Despite
our decision to give a full refund, it is only fair to be heard. Our Response to the complaint:*** became a client and had more than one phone call
as stated. She spoke at least 3 people
in our customer service department before speaking with me. We also had dozens of emails, over a two week
period, between us helping get placed. She complained to me on April 20th, 2020 that
she was not being helped. When I spoke
to our staff to see what the issue was. The staff explained she it was her combination
of Eviction and Low Credit Score. After my interview with her, I found she had a great rental
history for 5 years. That is fantastic
to our ears. With our experience we
know this is as important as any issues in one’s past. We took down all the details and requested her to get us
the letter from her past landlord. She
agreed to do so. (see our notes her file
below) At this point we had over 27 emails with to and from the client. She agreed she did not want a refund at that
point.Unfortunately, she never emailed to us again. Her promise to send her rental history in was
only never received. The request for her
letter was made of her two (2) weeks after she signed up for our coaching
assistance. She expected to find a
place in 5-30 days. This was less than 2
weeks, well withing her expected time period. We did not hear from her again.I did not receive any further calls or emails from
her. We are not realtors; we just give
guidance and support and even calls to the properties to assist clients to get
acceptance. If the client stops working with us, there is not much we have
to work with and noting we can do. Her
special situation was not as bad as it sounded, and it is a shame she did not
follow-up.We have 5 Customer Service and case workers helping answer
our phone. While it is possible someone
hung up on her by accident, we have no reason to ever hang up on anyone. We sincerely apologize for any trouble she may have had in
getting her new place and hope things get better for her in the future.

Scam! They want $99 for what others will do for free. Keep looking for other apartment locators.

My problem is they are suppose to help find homes for their clients. They do not do that. They called me and told me they were going to take care of me. I had to do all the work by myself. I want a refund.

Services Provided by Our Company

A. We counsel and help clients finding an apartment or house in special credit circumstances by helping them present good reasoning behind their broken leases, evictions, and low credit scores. We help them present themselves in a positive light to the listings company or landlord.

B. Our Main Service is to send out listing from several public databases. Clients call them to ascertain the listing is still available. Then client sends in the places they desire to apply to, we do our best to let them know which ones are most likely to accept their application.

C. We could not and do not give any warrantees. It is clearly stated on our receipts and invoices that listings are non-refundable once listings are received.

***

When people have evictions on their record, and low credit scores they have difficulty finding a place to live. We educate help our clients with strategy, listings, and advice. In this case it should not be a complaint, it is a success story.
This complaint is really a Success Story.
*** did get counseling from us and we feel learned how to present herself in her best light. With the knowledge of the disputes with previous landlords, we helped her to explain clearly the reasons for her two recent evictions and unpaid rent to prospective landlords and management companies.
Customer’s Statement of the Problem:
“My problem is they are supposed to help find homes for their clients. They do not do that. They called me and told me they were going to take care of me. I had to do all the work by myself. I want a refund.”
The above is statement for *** in part is correct. Yet the part about having to do all the work for herself is not correct. Again, this is not a tragedy; she is a success story.
Work Done: We helped her with listings and counseling as to how to present herself with respect to her evictions from 2018 and current year 2019 of her contacting our company. We made phone calls on her behalf and sent emails response to those investigations. (emails enclosed)
We saved her money in application fees and helped her see our process of making she could do the same in two of her choices on November 29th, 2019 when we explained the management companies’ policies made us start “Not Recommended”.
The company spends a lot of money on salaries to maintain our high level of service that save clients more funds than they pay for our counseling services.
We encourage our client not to leave any stone unturned and do not let rejections of the past discourage them. She did so and was successful in finding a new place to live.

Desired Settlement:

“Refund
I want my refund back. They did nothing to help me.” ***

We have a strict refund policy. Ouch… We must as many times people use our services and believe we did nothing to help them when they get into a place. It is plain to see we did work on her behalf as stated above.

She had a good disclosure online when she purchased listings and counseling from our firm, stating the purchase was NON-Refundable.
Below is the online statement when she entered order:
“I authorize my charge on my deposit or credit card, or debit account card for apartment and/or house location services from Home and Apartment Finders Group. I understand this is a service for getting listings and counseling and when needed speaking to prospective landlords in order help getting accepted as a tenant in a rental apartment or other type of home. I understand that if I find a place outside of those listings, I may request and get assistance in calling my found locations landlord as well. The fee for this counseling service is ninety-nine dollar (99) + Taxes and is non-refundable once the listing are sent to the email address I have provided
. Our ph# ***.website *** Best Regards ***

Thank you

On October 23rd I spoke with ***. I explained to him that I found them on the internet and wanted to ask questions. I made him aware that I needed to find an apartment, that I was pregnant and that my credit was low and that was holding me back. I then was told that they had a 90% success rate and due to the fact that it was just my credit I had a great chance of finding something and would be fine in their hands. He said the only people they had a harder time finding places for were those convicted of crimes and sex offenders. He explained to me that they would send me listings and I would chose 6 and they would advocate on my behalf and that’s how I would get the apartment. He also said they were sometimes able to get the customer to only pay one months rent and no deposit and there are no brokers fee. Since it would be close to Thanksgiving they would be willing to just get people in. I then paid the fee and received listings. Several listings did not have phone numbers and I was told I was supposed to just go to the address listed and ask if it was anything available. I live in New York, that’s really not how things work. I then spoke to him again and requested listings only with phone numbers. Most of those did not work or were old listings. I then emailed him and he sent out another set from “A Different Database” that’s was of no help to me either. I then called again and reiterated exactly what I needed which was Brooklyn NY in a $1600 price budget. I then started to receive messages from someone name ***. She then sent me listings which were the first listings *** sent me. I ended up just calling all available numbers whether I was truly interested or not. I was told they recommend 1 listing. After 3-4 listings I got 1 recommendation. I was told they spoke to the broker and he said give him a call. When I called they had no idea what I was talking about. Once I let *** know she then told me to call back again because they knew and wanted to schedule viewing. I called back and once again I was told they would look into what I was talking about and call me back to which I never received a response. I then told her just send me another round of listings to which she sent listings which included places with no phone numbers, Dorm rooms and apartments in a different state. At that point I called *** on Oct 31 and requested a new person to send me things. During this call his phone was acting weird. He said he would send me new listings and apologized. I never received anything correspondence after that. I called since then and now their phone doesn’t work. Today is November 6th. I have no secured an apartment on my own and have never heard from anyone since Thursday.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely

Please do not waste your money. They give you listings with senior citizen homes with clear understanding of your age. You ask them to send you new listings and there are a few added items with the other apartments listed. No-one stays in contact with you. It is no refund in return. You are told they would help and there is no promise to their services. ***DO NOT WASTE $99 DOLLARS FOR YOUR SERVICES*** I legitimately found my own apartment without their already paid services and the apartment in the area was not on the list. I found this one on my own. All the apartments on their list were telling me "NO" and they had low income apartments on the listings as well that clearly my salary did not meet their requirements as a single occupant. It is a waste of time, and out of desperation I admit. I fell for the ad but I spare you the agony of losing $99 for a service never rendered.

I was having trouble finding an apartment due to a past eviction. I looked into this company and they said they could be an advocate and help me find housing even with an eviction, I eventually found out that the eviction is no longer on my record. Before I found this out they were of no help and they were basically doing the same I was doing which was calling different listing and getting no after no. I let them know that my eviction was no longer an issue and I still had the results, being frustrated I asked them why am I not getting the result you promised? *** the senior leasing counselor got extremely aggressive and very rude over the phone, I have received some very rude emails as well. There promise is if in 30 days I don't get the results that they have promised I can get a full refund of the 99 dollars I paid. I reached out to them seeking my refund and now it seems as though I have either been blocked from calling them or my calls are being screened. They have 3 different numbers and none of them will take my calls.

We are a service organization. We help people get organized with a good presentation when they are looking for an apartment with a special credit situation that is holding them back from getting accepted into an apartment. We also send listing to clients from some of the online databases we use.

Sometimes, people whom no longer need our service they complain about not finding a place or an apartment. They may forget we work for them not paid as realtors by the landlord. We feel this is the case with this complaint.

The company has a non-refundable policy, as stated and explained clearly in bold red letters twice on our invoice/receipts. Receipt enclosed.

*** became a client on July 6th, 2019. When someone signs up our service, we do a review of their issues. Hers was a broken lease and non-payment of rent. In this situation our policy is to encourage contacting the debtor and working out a settlement or payment plan, as unpaid rent on one’s credit report usually causes a denial of their rental application. Broken leases with unpaid rent has the same number of negative points an eviction.

***, after starting as a client did call the property told us she had a debt. Thankfully, the property had forgiven the debt and there was no eviction filed. That was our help, and she did not want to recognize that fact.

Once she knew there was no longer an issue, she started to exclaim we did not place her and she wanted a refund.

1. We do not and cannot warrantee anyone’s properties acceptance. We recommend whether to apply so application fees and rejections continue on their credit report.

2. The company sends a NON-REFUNDABLE notice to every client before sending listings. The purpose is to show payment and make I clear the payment is non-refundable.

See the receipt and customer record documentation enclosed.

3. There was a request for a refund when she decided she did not need our services anymore.

We did find properties that would accept her after removing her unpaid rent from her background. Offered her several places that did say they would accept, yet she was no longer interested.

We sent her a letter explaining we have a non-refundable policy.

The company staff did a lot of work on her behalf based on her accessions of a broken lease and unpaid rent.

She threatened to make a complaint to the Revdex.com if we did not refund her payment.

We do not see any good reason for a refund.

I paid this company $150 for home/apartment finding services. It took them weeks to get my information correct. They sent me houses in the wrong location, some even in the wrong state. It has been 7 weeks and I have received one grouping of listings that were valid. However, they only reached out to 3 of the listings out of 16. They only got in contact with one of the listings. I have tried to work with this business and give them time to fix the issues. They did not provide me with a receipt. I spoke to the CEO about a refund, he declines and sends new listings (that are out of my area). The CEO is very rude, yelled at me and called me "mental" and put me down. He placed blame on me and took none for himself and took more shots at my character.

My complaint is that I have been working with this company for 2 months to help me find an apartment in I pay $99 for them to start helping me because they surpose to help with people who has evictions. I asked them are they able to find the apartment a by June it is now June past the 1st of June its to more weeks until july and no calls no emails no anything from Roy Spiegel. He was so rude and disrespectful to me on the phone and the phone is disconnected.

We went above and beyond to assist this consumer. Our policy clearly states all services are non refundable.

This business targets individuals having a hard time finding housing due to some infraction on their record. They call and advertise a third party service to you which entails them speaking to landlords on the potential tenant’s behalf to secure a lease. The service costs $99. After serveral calls, I finally spoke them about their service and asked for them to send me more information by email. I never received said email so I called them back. After a summary of services, I paid the fee, provided my preferences for apartment type, budget, and neighborhood, then awaited an email. The email I received was one with the subject line: “Your Listings”. In the message I was instructed to look for smaller properties and to check for availability. I did both and sent a comprehensive list to Roy Douglas, he responded with a thanks and that he’d check them out. That was the last I heard from him for over a week. These guys went radio silent on me with no deliverance of the service, no feedback, and no updates. When I asked for a refund, I was told to call *** who told me that I had not done enough work to receive the service yet. I told him that the amount of work they required of me was not disclosed in the initial conversations and that I would still like my refund. He refused. I told him that for what they’re asking me to do, I could just find an apartment by myself. He still refused. I told him about the lack of communication. He refused. I expressed my discontent with the nature of contacting individuals that they know are having a hard time finding housing only to fail to deliver the service and refuse a refund, which is not ethical. He still refused. I would like my refund of $99 immediately. I’m now confident this business is a scam since I can’t find them any other place online and not even within the Revdex.com. Also, given how the men handled me as a client, I can’t imagine that this is a legit business. Please contact these men to steward my complaint and administer my refund. Thank you.

We also send listing to clients from some of the public online databases we use.

Services provided by our company:

a. We counsel clients on finding an apartment in special credit circumstances.
b. We also send out listing from several public databases. Clients call them with explanation to contact and ones with address only are real estate brokers and are good resources to speak to.
c. We are not real estate brokers. We work for the Card Holder, not the Landlords.

Our specific instructions are:
1. Call to check for availability. Phone numbers are below the Pictures.
2. We are looking for places that are owned by individuals or have someone in the office we can speak to whom makes the decisions. Large management companies only send out to third party evaluation and in this situation, we are less likely to get approved when we have credit issues.
3. Explain we have a special credit situation and we need to know if there is someone at their location that can review or is it strictly an up or down approval from a third party. You are not required, yet this will make getting your place moving faster. We work together on your behalf.

Malika Whitley expected us to work as her REALTOR and get her into a place without her working with us to do her part. That was not what was told to her. We could never do the realtors job, as we are just counselors. Clients are required to do #1 and #2 above. Sometimes they confuse our service with that of a realtor. We work with their realtor, not instead of having one, or doing he foot work on themselves. We asked her to check availability before sending in her listings and that was not done. We cannot force someone to follow-up, and without the follow-up we cannot assist in speaking with the Landlords or Property Managers.
