Customer placed his order on Sat ***Since most items ship manufacturer direct his order was processed with the manufacturer on *** which was the 1st business day after he placed itThe item purchased was then pulled for inspection prior to shipping and they noticed that it was slightly
damaged and since this was a closeout they were not getting anymore stock inWe do not believe in shipping out any item that we have prior knowledge of being damaged in anywayThe manufacturer notified us on *** and in turn we notified the customer of suchLike 98% of other online furniture stores, Home and Patio Decor Center has larger items ship directly from the manufacturers warehouses to the consumer, therefore the online furniture stores have to depend on the manufacturers for updated inventory which many send weeklyThis item showed in stock which it was however unfortunately it was damaged. To answer his question as to why he was charged, it is noted in the FAQ section of our site, that debit cards are charged immediatelyThis is due to the fact that we must guarantee payment from the consumer prior to us processing the order with the manufacturer (again a practice on most websites)It is also noted on our website under Shipping/Returns section to please allow 10-business days for credits to be processed and customers are also notified of the timespan when he was advised that the bed was no longer available. His actual refund was processed back to his credit card in the full amount of $on *** which was days after he was advised of the unavailability of the original bed purchased and after he stated there was no other bed on the website he would be interested inCredits batch out after midnight and may take a number of days to show up on his statement based upon his financial institute. They also indicated that it would take several days after for a refund after 12/**/15. My refund was received on 12/**/15, 8 days short of one entire month after the initial transaction and I needed the money sooner. I believe that this could have been escalated to Management for something not my fault. Exceptions sometimes need to be made for better future gain and not use poor business practices and policies that affects people financially.

Review: I purchased online on 11/**/15 the following item:

Omnia Faux Sable Brown Leather Upholstered Cal King Size Platform Bed

B71L47 1 $649.00.

I called on 12/*/15 since the ordered still showed pending though the transaction was already posted in my bank. I spoke with a CSR that said it is being process and I will get an email when shipped. The next day, 12/*/15, I received a call from same CSR that the item was no longer available and it was discontinued and that I could get another item as she would sent me an email with other products available. I waited about an hour and never got the email with other products to view, so I decided to call and ask for my money back since the item was discontinued. The CSR indicated that I would get an email with a cancelled order. On 12/*/15, I never received the email with cancelled order, so I called again and this time the CSR sent me a screen-shot of the cancelled order, however, today is 12/**/15 and my money has not refunded.

Why is this Company earning interest on my money on something they do not have? Also, why is my money withdrawn so fast but I have to wait?

It was not my fault that the order had to be cancelled from something posted on their site that was advertised as available.

I would never due business with this Business and I would not recommend to anyone buying at their website with [redacted] card as this was my fault. I should have used a credit card so I could have got the money back right away.Desired Settlement: They should have refunded my money right away since the product was no longer available.
