Requested an AVM report and was provided an automated estimate on my home market value that was $140K less than an AVM report from 2 months ago. In addition, comps pulled were from 13 miles away and in a different city than where I live. One of the comps used in my neighborhood was a foreclosure home, which was not in the same category as my home. Very disappointed in this auto gathering process, was a waste of money. I do not recommend this service.

We apologize you were displeased with the valuation on your AVM report. We use the three most popular avm softwares in the industry that every other company uses. These products do not replace a full appraisal report which is recommended to get a fully accurate valuation on a home. These instead are in place to give people an idea of where their homes are valued for very low cost based on current comparables in the market and giving you a ranged valuation. They don’t see anything about homes quality, or even location of comparables(ones in different cities), they instead draw one big circle around your property and just pull all the data for you to read
Unfortunately we do not have any control over the data these reports deliver and there is no Individual from our team doing the valuations. We just sort of get what we get on these from the big data companies.
That being said, we’re happy to refund your AVM report completely, or apply that amount to a full appraisal report based on a local appraisers opinion.
