Review: School unjustly withdrew my teacher, did not notify me of withdrawal of teacher, did not provide me with a replacement teacher, and is not willing to communicate. School unjustly withdrew my teacher because I had not requested the assistance of the teacher often enough. Quote from email they sent me, "It looks like you have not spoken with our instructors in over a year. We do not hold spots on their schedules if student attendance is not regular. " This statement is in direct contrast to the information on their website:"we offer programs available to accommodate your leisure time""PROGRAMS DESIGNED AROUND YOUR FREE TIME!""You have the freedom to learn when you have time and are never locked in to a fixed schedule.""students can learn at their own pace through a flexible course curriculum, supported by an adaptable schedule to accommodate every students timetable. "I have not been given any information nor have I been able to find any information that says there are requirements or stipulations of the students to maintain a teacher.The person who sold me the course, told me the school "would be with me for 2 years". I have never faulted in paying the monthly payments. This is a two year course. The two years is not up for another 5 months. I am entitled to have a teacher for the entire two year duration of the course.The school prides itself as providing a personal learning experience. "We continually strive to revolutionize online education teaching styles through personalized and interactive training, ..." Their actions are in direct contrast to this. They withdrew my teacher, did not even notify me of the withdrawal and did not provide me with a replacement teacher and now are not even willing to communicate! There is nothing personal about having an education program with no teacher and a school unwilling to communicate.The course material is not professional. The abundance of dead links (links to non existing pages), typographical errors and errors in general give it a nonprofessional image. As an example, I recall one quiz of multiple choice questions in which all the answers to one of the questions were all the same but to correctly answer the question, only one could be selected!! Obviously, no one could take the time to proofread the material. The credibility of the whole course and school is undermined.Desired Settlement: 1. If the school is not going to provide the promised services (a personal teacher and willingness to communicate), then I want the final 5 payments cancelled.2. If the school is going to provide the promised services (a personal teacher and willingness to communicate), I then want the final payment cancelled in lieu of the past month which I have not had a teacher and have not been unable to communicate with the school.

Review: I was referred to the school through [redacted], who is a reputable e-commerce guru, who solidly vouched for this institute. Initially, I was disappointed, since the teachers dont really teach anything, but are there to answer any questions you may have about the online courses, which are expensive for the level of instruction you truly get. Considering I became very busy with my full time job and realizing that the teachers were not really teachers, I had to pause, knowing I had two years to complete the training, which would be up in August 2014. I began reaching out my assigned teacher to ask a few questions in February 2014, early March 2014 by email, but no answer. After no response, I began calling the 800 539 1278 number I had on file originally from when I started, which was active back in March 2014, but no longer active now. I left multiple messages with the receptionist back in March 2014 after my teacher would not reply, with promises someone would get back to me, but nobody did. Until one day, the number was no longer active. The (805) number listed in Revdex.com is different. It would be professional of them to inform their students if their number has changed as minimum requirement of a solid professional institution. In mid April 2014, their website was no longer accessible (http://www.homebaseli.com). Maybe they changed the URL and failed to redirect it to their new one and/or inform their students. Non the less, my 2 year limit is not up and I have not been able to complete my online courses, though intended to, since the price for these courses are expensive for this level of service and product offering, I dont intend to continue being charged for this, since they have not replied to my attempts to restart since February. I reached out to my credit card to block any future payments assuming they might be out of business. Today, I received a call from the Homebase Learning Institute investigating why payments are no longer going through for my credit card on file. I feel there is a lack of consciousness and professionalism from this establishment since nobody has answered to my attempts to restart my courses and they have only reach out to me to collect money.Desired Settlement: My courses are up on August 2014. I have not been contacted by a teacher since February / March 2014 nor do I see the ability to use the online courses since April. I would like to not be charged any longer if your institution can not offer the online courses I've been paying for on a monthly basis.
