Atmos Energy came to Dr. [redacted]'s residence on September 25, 2017 and changed the meter. According to our records, a note was left at the residence about the meter change and service interruption including contract information for Atmos Energy so that she could get her service restored. If Dr. [redacted]...
had contacted Atmos Energy when she first noticed that she did not have hot water, we could have arranged a time to come to her residence, activate the meter and light her gas water heater. The plumber Dr. [redacted] contacted should have noticed that gas service was interrupted on his/her first visit to re residence and contacted Atmos Energy instead of advising Dr. [redacted] that she needed a new water heater. Because there was nothing unusual or extraordinary about how we handled the situation, Atmos Energy does not believe we are responsible for any of the costs incurred by Dr. [redacted].
