He relayed to her that her mattress did not meet the criteria to be classified as a defect under the manufacturer's warranty. Tags were switched after I tried to order a bedroom set at the $799 price listed. Sales staff lied saying they never changed tags.First I would like to say I have purchased several thousand dollars worth of furniture from Home Comfort in the past few years with really no issues. When my mom and I visited Saturday 02/07/15 we were searching for living room furniture when we stumbled across a bedroom set for a guest bedroom that we really liked and the price listed of $799 was very good. We spoke with a guy by the name of[redacted] who pointed out the pieces in the [redacted] group was the queen storage bed, dresser, mirror, and one night stand for $799. He pointed to the tag. My mom was witness what the tag showed. After we decided we did want to purchase it I called the Cary store (it's closer to where I live and I had not made a final decision on living room set) to order the bedroom set and a living set I finally found I wanted. She([redacted]) contacted the clearance center and was told the price of the group was $1499 for the [redacted] not $799, the $799 price was for the other white grouping. This was NOT what the tag showed and not what[redacted] told us when we were at the clearance center. So I decided to drive back to the clearance center to see if they did in fact switch the tags and, of course, they had a price of $1499 on the [redacted] group AFTER they realized by me wanting to order it that the price tag was incorrect.I spoke with the owner [redacted] who seemed polite at first and was curious to hear of my experience, so I explained it to him. After speaking with his staff, who bold face lied by the way, he pretty much said there was nothing he could do for me and if I wanted to purchase it the price would be $1499. I feel this is unfair and not good customer service when it wasn't my fault the tags were not correct. The impression I got from him was he believed what the staff was saying instead of a loyal customer that spends their hard earned money in his stores! I have a witness that knows what the tag said on the [redacted] grouping and it was frustrating because I was thinking the price was $799 until [redacted] told me it wasn't as I was placing the order. Word of mouth surely is the best way to make folks in this area aware of the sales practices at these stores. I have advised my friends and social media of the issue I ran into in hopes they do not shop here. I really hate it came to that, but the owners attitude by not trying to please his customer was very disheartening to me. He never offered to sale it for the $799 OR even try to come down on the price to reach a resolution. Basically he said, after speaking with the store and you I'm not making a decision to change anything that was told to you.Desired SettlementI feel the right thing to do is sale it for $799 which is the price the tag had on it when I visited. The store, especially Sean knows it was listed at $799 when I was there. I do not like when people try to insinuate I misread something or confused the two sets. I did not confuse them because we didn't even like the other set and never looked at the price because it wasn't being considered for purchase. If they are not willing to sale for $799 I will return my other purchase for a loveseat and ottoman I purchased back in December for a refund and never do business with Home Comfort again. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]Mr. [redacted] emailed Home Comfort yesterday, Sunday February 8th, and asked to speak to [redacted] (me) the man in charge. Even though I was not at work at the time, I picked up the phone and called right away. I listened to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint and concerns. I told him that I would check with the staff in our Outlet Center, learn more about what he was telling me and call him back. After speaking with the staff at our Outlet Center, I called Mr. [redacted] back the same day. I told him that our staff informed me that they did not change or amend the pricing on the items he questioned after he left. I told him that I appreciate him bringing his concerns to my attention, but that I have no reason to doubt the integrity and honesty of the staff involved as I have worked with both of them for many years and have never found them to be less than honest or transparent. Mr. [redacted] quickly told me that he thought that they are lying. I told him that I appreciate his candor and do not doubt that he believes what he is telling me. I am glad that he brought his concerns to my attention. We did not change the pricing as Mr. [redacted] believes we did and are disappointed that he arrived at his conclusion. Consumer Response Unbelievable. Well this speaks volumes about their customer service. Please advise how I return my items purchased from December. Final Business Response I called Mr. [redacted] yesterday attempting to address his request to return two items unrelated to his Revdex.com complaint and was not able to reach him on the phone. He may call me at [redacted]at Home Comfort Furniture.

Warranty terms told to me at time of purchased are not being honored. In June of 2010 I purchased two red leather couches from the Home Comfort Furniture Store. I purchased the couches because I was specifically told that any type of pet damage to the couches would be covered for a period of 5 years. At the time of purchase, I owned an extremely sick 10 year old dog with a congenital defect of her esophagus that caused her to regurgitate all throughout the day. She liked to hop up and sit on couches and I let her because I wanted her life to be as happy as possible given her sickness. So, I was looking to find a couch that was either cheap and easily cleanable or came with a warranty. I was told while shopping by [redacted] that I could purchase a 5 year warranty with the couches that would cover pet damage. Knowing that my dog was both ill and old, I specifically asked her about puppies chewing the couch and I was told that it would be covered. I was told that any and all damage to the couch by my pets would be covered with the warranty which guards against any damage for 5 years. I specifically asked about claw marks from dogs getting up on the couch and I was told that they too would be covered. These issues were all at the crux of my purchase because I was specifically buying the couches with the intention of having pets on them and guarding against damage that they might do to them. At the time of purchase, I even decided that I would only keep the couches for the five years and sell them before their warranty ran out. Today I called to get some scratches a hole that my puppies did to my couches while I was on vacation May 1-9th and I was told that NO PET DAMAGE was covered. The scratches and hole done by my dogs would not be covered. I called the Home Comfort Store after getting off the phone with the [redacted] company and spoke with [redacted] who told me that she would refund one of the warranty fees, but not both as a courtesy. She told me that the damage was my fault and just wouldn't be covered. I told her that the Home Comfort Furniture store employee had told me that the warranty would cover all pet damage and she did not feel that was of any particular concern that one of their employees negligently or willfully misrepresented their warranty coverage. I relayed that I had specifically questioned [redacted] at length about the issue given the illness of my dog and the knowledge that I would be getting puppies after my dog passed. She acted like she was doing me a favor in refunding one warranty fee, rather than being concerned or even slightly apologetics that an employee misrepresented the warranty that I had so specifically questioned her about. I am surprised that this occurred because I have been otherwise happy with the couches and 3 mattresses that I have purchased over the years from the store. Desired SettlementI would like both warranty fees refunded as soon as possible. Each fee was 119.99, so the total refund would be 239.98. I would also like Home Comfort Furniture Store to train their employees on the warranties so that they do not misrepresent their terms to anyone else.I received a phone call today from Home Comfort saying that they will refund the full amount, so there is no longer an issue.

I purchases about 3000.00 worth of furniture from this place. They delivered everything on the date promised but one of the items on the order was defective. They said they would deliver it in 2 weeks, 2 weeks went by I had to call and find out where my order was. They said it would deliver in a week. When it got delivered it was defective again and they delivery personnel confirmed that the product was indeed defective. The product was returned. I didn't hear back from the business on when it was going to be delivered. I had to call multiple times about my product I paid for and half of my furniture was sitting at home and half not delivered even 2 months after the initial purchase date. I paid for the whole thing not financed. The employees are very rude in that establishment and treat customer's like crap. They want me to come in 15 mile drive to take a look at the furniture to make sure it's correct. I just want them to deliver my product that I paid for but they keep delaying. This is ridiculous. They should be shutdown looking at all the reviews about rip offs from this establishment and shady manager named [redacted]. they took my money but will not deliver my product complete.Product_Or_Service: Living Room furniture. Sofa, Love Seat and ChairOrder_Number: Sales order number:Account_Number: Sales order number:Desired SettlementI want them to deliver the complete product or return the product and refund the complete amount I paid including delivery.Business Response We appreciate the customer reaching out to let us know that he was not pleased with the wait for the chair needed to complete his order and his dissatisfaction with his experience at our Clearance Outlet.A replacement for the chair in question was not in stock for quick re-delivery and had to be re-ordered. The chair needed to complete the customer's order was delivered yesterday, September 4th, 2015 and signed for by the customer. We will use his feedback as a training opportunity to improve the level of service we provide our customers.
