Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
It is untruthful. [redacted] has never spoken to Mr [redacted]. The consignment center only has MY cell phone number and MY email address.  When I spoke to [redacted] she told me they couldn't take the couch because it was faded, although it was sitting against an interior wall. She said we would need to pick it up that day. I told her I would need to call my husband and call her back. I did and I did. He was not able to leave work early that day to get a truck and we had kids activities that night. He was very upset since he had offered to pull the couch away from the wall and [redacted] said that wasn't necessary.
I told her that we couldn't get the couch and she said so do I have your approval to have it donated. We will send you a donation receipt, and I said yes, do that.  I did not get that receipt until I filed this complaint. It is ludicrous to say that you were waiting to receive a call back from us.  So you were waiting to hear back from us before you donated the couch yet when you didn't hear from us you just donated it?  So do you donate other people's possessions without their approval?  That doesn't seem legal, and it is definitely in opposition to what the agreement says.
And as I said before, that's not what happened. The more you respond back to me the more I think you are hiding something because your story keeps changing.
On the charges, no you have ABSOLUTELY NOT given me a proper accounting. The last check I got is for an amount. There is no attachment showing any deductions. So our agreement showed you were selling for $99.  I have a check for $38.64. So you are telling me that credit card processing fees were $10.86????  Really?  And if not then you are not giving me a proper accounting or proper details for my check. I would like to receive this for every check that I have received.
I would also like to receive compensation for my couch as it has become obvious that you misled me.
Regards,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I was told that I needed to come pick up the couch that day because the donation truck was coming the next morning. If I knew the truck was not coming for a week I would have been able to arrange getting a truck and coming to pick up the couch. I was never sent a donation receipt, even after I complained yo the store.  I did not have one sent yo me until after I filed this complaint.
I have talked to multiple people at this store and no one ever told me that the additional charges were credit card fees. They told me that they could not give me a detailed description. I would like to know EXACTLY what the charges were that were taken out of each check. Not just-oh we don't know, or oh, they are credit card processing fees.  I feel like I am constantly getting different stories from this store.
I do not wish to have any type of credit for use at this store. I am willing to accept a check, but not a store credit. And $75 is not a reasonable amount based on what you took from me.  And now that you are telling me that I could have had it back-that I didn't have to pick it up that day makes it even more suspicious. In addition to the fact that I can not get a true and accurate account of the deductions.
I reject your offer.
Respectfully

Response to Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted]
- Home Consignment Center received a sofa on 4/14/14 into
the store from Ms. [redacted] and upon the item coming in the sales associate
noticed the back of the sofa was discolored. The sales associate did not price
the sofa...

originally in the home and the item wasn’t included in the original
paperwork that Ms. [redacted] signed. I have attached the original preview paperwork
with signature. The sales associate called Ms. [redacted] on 4/15/14 to discuss the
discoloration and find out how she wanted to proceed. Ms. [redacted] instructed us
to donate the sofa and she confirmed she didn’t want to pick it up. The sofa
was donated on 4/24/14 to [redacted].
I have attached the paperwork which includes a signature by the Easter
Seals employee, [redacted].   We
mailed Ms. [redacted] a tax deduction receipt on 4/24/14 and I have personally
mailed her another one on 8/6/14.
- Home Consignment Center’s Consignment Policy states that
the consignor will receive 50% of net proceeds.
Net proceeds include proportionate deduction for credit card service or
check verification fee if any.  Ms. [redacted]
agreed to our policy and I have attached a copy of her signature below the
policy.  Ms. [redacted] was paid as our policy
states.
We did not deduct any “miscellaneous charges”.
Ms. [redacted] had a moving charge of $75.00 that she owed to the
moving company which was accounted for on check number 813032.  Our records do not show any “miscellaneous
charges” but we do have credit card fees that have been deducted as our policy
states.  The credit card fees are .01% of
the sale price.  I have included a breakdown of each item along with the inventory number and the amount the item was sold for and the credit card fee for each item.
- If one of Home Consignment Center employees hung up on
you, I apologize as that is not how we treat our customers.  I would like to offer Ms. [redacted] a gift certificate to be used at any Home Consignment Center location in the amount of $75.
