Home Credit in Henderson NC won't even let you do an application. They are not friendly at all. They just cut you off over the phone and say NO!!

In February 2015 Home Credit Corp. Inc. purchase a insurance policy for $1,305 on my car after I had shown proof of full coverage insurance on my car.I am financing my car from Home Credit Corp. Inc. [redacted] Account #xx-xx[redacted].According to NC your requires one insurance policy. Home Credit purchased one and I already had an existing policy. I made several attempts to resolved this matter with their agent [redacted] whom keep me in the loop for two months now. This car is valued at $7500, and I'm paying $13,000 more than it is worth. At this point, the interest is higher on my loan because they added that policy to loan without my consent. Desired SettlementI would the resolution to simply, adjust my bill and remove any fees that occurred with adding that unnecessary policy to my account. Per Mrs. [redacted]'s retail installment contract with Home Credit she is obligated to maintain full coverage with Home Credit as loss payee as long as her account is open. Mrs. [redacted] was sent letters requesting her attention regarding coverage on 3/23/2015 and 4/27/2015. After no response from Mrs. [redacted] Home Credit decided to purchase a collateral protection insurance policy on behalf of Mrs. [redacted] instead of repossessing her car. This said policy was effective 2/26/2015 which is the date her original policy cancelled. The cost of this policy was 1305.30 and good for 1 year. On 6/18/2015 Home Credit verified that Mrs. [redacted] had reinstated her insurance policy and then preceded to begin the cancellation process and acquire a full refund. We received notice and insurance refund on 7/16/2015. The full refund of 1305.30 was processed on Mrs. [redacted]'s account today 7/20/2015 after Home Credit Insurance administrator returned from a weeks vacation. If there are any more questions please feel free to contact me or anyone at Home Credit. I'm truly sorry for any inconvenience or problem that this caused to Mrs. [redacted] but this could have all been avoided had she answered one of the notice letters in March or April.Consumer Response There is no additional comments to add. Greatly, thank you for your service, however, the initial concern remains providing the customer with an accurate updated balance. Final Business Response The account balance as of today is $14,528.60. This is after all refunds have been applied. If there are anymore questions please let me know.

This company has charged us on our account for insurance when we have provided proof of insurance.This company has charged us extra fees and has not kept our payments up to date then added insurance coverage when we have provided full insurance coverage from another source so that they can repose our vehicle. We have had previous problems with them in not keeping our information up to date.Desired SettlementThat this company will check it's records and remove all excess fees and charges including bogus insurance coverage.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]We contacted the customer on January 26th 2015 regarding her past due balance, the customer stated her account was current. We told the customer the balance due was because of a insurance policy added to her account that insured the collateral against loss. Customer stated that vehicle has full coverage insurance, we told the customer we did not have proof of any insurance but liability. On January 30 2015 customer informed us that their insurance was not full coverage and our records were correct. Customer stated she only had liability insurance and not collision as required by the contract. Customer apologized and now understands.

I have called 31 times and no one is answering the phone.They have repossessed a car with almost 4 years of payments and are not answering my phone calls.Desired SettlementI would like to make an arrangement to have my car picked up.Business Response The purpose of this communication is to discuss a debt.We repossessed Mrs. [redacted] car on 9/16/15 because account is in default.
