Once again the fish house was ordered in May and estimated lead times are 6-8 weeks, subject to change based on the production load at that time. Mike’s house was ready to review and pick up in late September, slightly past expected lead times, however Mike did state during the process that he wasn’t in a big hurry.Upon pick up, during demonstration of raising and lowering the fish house a light plug was crushed under the tongue – a simple and embarrassing mistake. When he came back the keys were missing, so we replaced the lock assembly on his door so he could take the fish house at that time. When the house was hooked to Mike’s truck, the tail lights were not working. A test was done to determine the issue, by hooking the house to a Fish N Style employee’s truck; the employee truck tail lights worked fine. A mechanic inspected Mike’s truck, thus determining that it was not the house but Mike’s truck. Understandably he did not take his fish house at that time, since his tail lights were not working. The fish house sat in the parking lot for the next few weeks, at some point sustaining a small ding to the door, which I then replaced. After not hearing from Mike for about 2 months I reached out and requested to set up a pick up date/time. I informed him that if he no longer wanted the house I would refund his deposit and sell it to someone else. He responded that he still did want the house, but had required back surgery and would not be able to pick it up until March. I agreed to this – even though it would mean continuing to keep the fish house on my lot with an outstanding balance of around $18,000.00. Mike did come to pick up his house in March, as agreed upon. It was in a heated shop so that he could comfortably inspect the house, to be sure it was to his liking before taking it home. He found no reason to reject the house, hooked up to it and took it with him that day.A few months passed, and in June he wrote a bad review on Fish N Style’s Facebook page, saying there were “pimples” in the siding. He was informed that the repairs would need to be done at the manufacturing facility in Parkers Prairie, Mn. Typically warranty transportation is the responsibility of the owner, however I offered to pull the fish house to the manufacturing facility on a trip up to pick up another house. I informed him that it would be up to him to pick up the house from Parkers Prairie to get it back home. He then contacted the manufacturing facility on his own and scheduled a time to get it fixed, which entailed tread bright stone guard being installed to cover the “pimples”. This was done at Mike’s request and resulted in about double to stone guard of a standard Firebrand Fish House. He requested travel reimbursement and I never said I wouldn't.With regard to the propane and issues heating his house, the regulator was freezing up due to the extreme cold this year. It was a problem across multiple brands of fish houses on the market, not isolated to our product in particular. We found a hi-flow regulator that seemed to cure this issue and I sent one out free of charge to Mike even though this issue was not a fault of the house or the manufacturing. He brought to my attention an issue he had with one of his electric jacks, stating that it was slower operating than the other 2 on his house. I replaced it for him free of charge. When he was at Fish N Style having this work done he talked about other issues he was having with the fish house. We agreed he would bring it back when he was done using it for the year to have any other issues addressed and settle up with travel costs he incurred for repair work.  Approximately one week later, I get an email saying he wanted to come back to Fish N Style with the fish house and get a full refund on the unit. It's been 11 months and I informed him that I cannot give a full refund. His response was “fine I will just contact the Revdex.com again.” I responded "ok". I cannot give a full refund after 11 months of him using it. Like I told him last time he was here we are more than happy to get the house back and address his concerns.

Fish N Style Response to complaint by [redacted] ordered his house on 5/24/16. His order consisted of a shell to be finished with some additional customization beyond Firebrand’s standard. An 8 week lead time is pretty typical on a standard build, and typically would have led to a...

completion in July 2016. Estimated build times are just that; estimations. There are many factors that can contribute to a longer build time; For instance [redacted] ordered his firebrand with custom interior white shower board that needed to be applied with special rivets, which he requested. It was a learning process for the finishers to be certain that it was installed correctly, seeing that it was a non-standard process. [redacted] also requested non-standard sized windows, which required additional time to source, acquire and transport to the manufacturing facility. To compensate [redacted] for the delay in building, Fish N Style offered a 28” 12V television to install in his house. Upon arrival the television was damaged and had to be replaced by the vendor – which was done in a timely manner. There was also a discrepancy with the cooking apparatus in [redacted]’s house. The standard for the finish he chose, and what was invoiced to him, was a 2 Burner Cook Stove. [redacted] was under the impression he was going to be getting an oven – and even though he was mistaken, again to help compensate for some of the delay in building, Fish N Style agreed to install an oven as well. [redacted] was informed that his house was complete in September 2016, he arrived to pick up his completed house and when he hooked up to his truck the trailer lights didn’t work. I (Matt) hooked up to [redacted]’s house with my truck and all of the trailer lights worked. So we had a mechanic, that [redacted] did pay for, look at [redacted]’s truck and found his truck to be the problem. [redacted] chose not to take his house at that time, as he understandably didn’t want to pull it with no lights. After leaving Fish N Style in September we didn’t hear from him for a long period of time. When we did connect he told me he had back surgery and wouldn’t be able to use the house that winter so he would let us know when he would be able to pick it up; which turned out to be March 10th 2017.  When [redacted] picked up his house he had his wife with and they appeared to be very pleased, shook my hand and left with their house. A couple months went by and out of the blue they wrote a vague negative review on my Facebook page. A short time after that I did hear from him, and that they discovered “pimples” in the siding that he thought appeared to be from a screw or nail. They were very small and didn’t show up on pictures sent via email, however I told him it would get fixed.  I told him it would have to be transported to [redacted] (the manufacturer of the shell) for those repairs as Fish N Style doesn’t make those types of repairs. I told him I could get it there on a back haul but would be up to him to get it when work was complete. [redacted] chose to transport his house to [redacted] on his own, and work was completed on his house the first week of October 2017.  [redacted] installed additional stone guard all around the entire fish house to compensate for his travels. As far as no communication and ignoring [redacted] is 100% false from the standpoint of Fish N Style. I have all the email chains with him and there was never more than a day except over a weekend that it took over a day to respond. Throughout the process we emailed repeatedly and talked over the phone multiple times. Fish N Style sat on his fish house from September 2016 until after his surgery and recovery in March 2017 without being paid other than [redacted]’s $3,000 down payment on May 24th 2016. Yes that was the time frame [redacted] stated but surely wasn’t the fault of Fish N Style and/or [redacted]. Matt [redacted] Fish N Style Inc. ###-###-#### Fishnstyle.com

Regarding Complaint ID #[redacted] In response to Matt’s Reply I’d like to address a few of his comments and make a few additions. I purchased a new fish house, not a used one, but a brand new one. I added some customizing items to it and according to their website customizing is what they do. In early October Matt sent me a few pictures of the house and upon viewing them I noticed there wasn’t an oven just a two -burner stove top. Looking at the original invoice dated 5/24/2016 an oven is listed for the additional cost of $150. After he put the oven in we went to look at it. I discovered there was a kink in the gas line and requested that be replaced. While demonstrating the electric jacks he smashed the plug in for the tail lights. I didn’t take it home that day because of these issues. He called me a few days later to let me know ii was ready to go. I went up the next day. When I got there I plugged it into my truck and the lights didn’t work so I left it there for them to recheck the wiring on the plug in. Matt called the next day saying they had triple checked the house and that it was ready to go. I went up to get it. I tried hooking up and it still wasn’t working. He had a mechanic look at it (yes, I paid for the mechanic) who found three fuses blown on my truck from the previous attempted hook up. I then noticed a dent in the door of the house and didn’t feel I should accept it that way. It’s a NEW fish house. Why bring it home damaged when I’d have to return it to get it fixed which would mean two more trips to Savage. On 11/22/2016 I sent an email asking Matt if he had gotten my message from Pat (an employee) wondering what was going on with the fish house. He was waiting to hear about a replacement TV (the previous one was damaged in shipping) but I felt that wasn’t my problem. It was something he was “throwing in” on the deal before any of these other things happened. On 12/14/2016 I sent another email asking for pictures of the repairs to the above -mentioned problems. I did not hear back from him until December 30 when he asked if I had received the pictures he sent. I replied that I had gotten a couple of pictures but was waiting to get more. At that point he wanted to forgo the TV and said the house was ready but that wasn’t acceptable to me. I told him I would wait for the TV. Early ibn January Matt contacted me to let me know a new TV was on it’s way. They should have it in a week and they would notify me when it was installed at which he wanted to have a pick- up date from me or he would have to refund my money and sell the house…. which “wasn’t a threat but we both need to either make the deal happen or move on”. I had back surgery in December and wasn’t able at that time to get the fish house. I let Matt know that and he seemed okay with it and wished me a good recovery. I contacted him the end of February trying set a pick- up date of March 23 to which he agreed and stated that he had the new Tv but it was not yet installed. Something came up which made the 23rd not work for him. We set a new date of March 10. We went up on March 10, signed on the dotted line and hooked up to the truck and brought it home. As for no communication, email responses were mostly the same day but there were many phone calls and messages that I would wait for a week before he returned my call. As for Fish’n’Style sitting on the house for six months, I think all of the above shows that’s not true (by his own admission in February he still hadn’t installed the TV which to me means it’s still not finished). Which brings up the fact that I activated my loan for the fish house in October so I was making payments on something of which I didn’t have possession. When I first ordered the house in May of 2016 Matt said he’s have it done by July but I was expecting more like October. I certainly didn’t think I wouldn’t get it until March of 2017. Yes, I had surgery in December but if the house had been built and the problems taken care of promptly it wouldn’t have been an issue. The gas-line for the oven was not replaced. It was patched. I discovered the problem with the lights not working was due to the incorrect installation of the wires. I had my mechanic look at it and fix it. Also, I’m having to make another trip to Savage to have work done on the brakes which keep locking up…. This is a BRAND NEW fish house.   There is an issue with the outside finish that I brought to Matt’s attention back in March. Matt seemed unwilling to accept responsibility or to help resolve the issue which made me go to the manufacturer -[redacted]. They fixed it by adding more stone guard. It was not a “compensation”. It was a coverup for someone’s mistake. The negative comment posted by wife was: “Not. Impressed (and now I need to have fifty characters”). After all of this? This is what he has to complain about? No, she will not remove it. This was posted in June. If it was that important why didn’t he call and ask me about it. Another thing… we picked the house up in March. We didn’t get the license until May after I called him to inquire about it. What should have taken two weeks to get took almost two months. We couldn’t move it off of our property without the license. I have a list of other things that I have found since bringing it home that I haven’t even brought up because I feel it wouldn’t make a difference. One would think a company such as would and should know certain things about building fish houses because that’s what they do. What prompted us to contact the Revdex.com was I wanted compensation for travel costs incurred. I was told by Matt that Fisn’n’Style   would cover the cost of transportation for any warranty work. I spent $185 plus mileage and meals to bring the fish house to [redacted] in Parkers Prairie to get the outside issue fixed. Now I have another trip to savage to get the brakes fixed. If you add up all of the trip for things that weren’t done or fixed properly it’s five trips to Savage and one trip to Parkers Prairie which makes a total of 840 miles. It should have been one trip to Savage to pick-up the BRAND- NEW fish house and bring it home when it was done.  I too have email chains and a few phone messages documenting the order of things. As I stated previously, there are more issues that I could get into but this is long enough. As much as their website almost brags or boasts about their great customer service, I just didn’t get to experience it. [redacted]@yahoo.com
