Review: Home Delivery America delivered a sofa, bench and two chairs on September 26. I had tried to reschedule the delivery date because I was out of town on business, but I was told that this was the last date it could be delivered. I took delivery, looked it over quickly and left to resume my business trip. Upon coming home I noticed a tear in the fabric on top of the couch and an abrasion on the side of the couch. The deliverymen had trouble putting the couch together (it is a right-hand chaise sofa), and at one point had the couch part standing on the end where the tear is. The damage might've occurred then, or it might have occurred when it was packed up in the showroom. I don't know when it happened, but the tear and abrasion were not there in the showroom when I bought the couch. I wrote to Home Delivery America on October 13 shortly after I noticed the damage. I didn't hear from them, and wrote again on October 20. On October 22, they wrote back and said there was nothing that could be done. I wrote back to them on that day and was told they would call the sofa company. I didn't hear anything, and wrote to them again on November 7. I received word today that they will not do anything about the damage.Desired Settlement: America Home Delivery pay me $250 toward fixing tear in upholstery they caused during delivery.

I purchased 2 appliances from Home Depot and was setup with Home Delivery America for delivery. On the scheduled day of delivery I received an automated phone call asking me to confirm I would be home in 30 mins when they were set to arrive. I did so and confirmed the delivery and waited. Roughly a half hour later I saw a truck outside and assumed that if it was for me they were just doing paperwork and would be coming to my door shortly. I patiently waited and then watched the truck drive away. No one came to my door, they did not even pull up my driveway. They simply sat at the end of my cul-d-sac and then drove away. Immediately when they drove away I called Home Delivery America, was transferred to dispatcher where I sat on hold for over a half hour before Isaac (terrible to deal with) told me that they were not in my area and could not help me. The claimed to have come to the house yet admittedly never came to my door, never knocked nor rang the bell. They did not provide the service that they were supposed to do, gave attitude throughout the process and provided zero assistance.

Review: The delivery people damaged my apartment during the delivery and informed me I would be compensated and was not.I filled the claim and pictures with estimate as requested.Desired Settlement: reimburse for damages in my apartment as promised for $434
