We scheduled an appointment to view a home for rent Home Encounter LLC is the property manager for The first time within minutes of the conformation email sent, someone canceled the appointment The second time we arrived at the scheduled meeting time and waited minutes for someone to show up There was no email canceling the appointment An email did arrive stating it was nice meeting us and asked if we like the property There was a link to take a survey which we took One choice to check was "we were at the property for the scheduled appointment but no one was there" The next question was would we like to give more feed back, when we clicked yes, it just submitted the survey

They do not care about youI just received a letter stating they took my security deposit and charging me over $2,over "damages"We will take legal action because our lease was under another Property Management and they took overWe were to the office to talk to them and they said they will honor our leaseI have called them for repairs with no successLeft messages, never called me backWhen the lease was almost up I contacted them to make sure that, per cpntract, I didn't have to pay for the last month and they said I have to and they will charge me late fees, etcI have to send them copy of the lease because they didn't have it and they were very rude I can continue but I will never finishProperty Management was a lot better and we chose them because it was a small office and more personal attention and Bill the manager was always in communication with usThey are greedy and unethicalWe will take legal action for sure

We have made several attempts to schedule a showing with Home Encounters and the process alone is frustratingOn one house we were prompted to pick different showtimes, which we did, we then received an email the next day saying none of the show times would work, to pick moreWe picked more times and once again got an email the next day saying that none of the times were goodTherefore, we tried with a different houseThis time the house said it had pre-approved showtimes and gave us choicesWe picked one, got a confirmation email saying it was scheduled, followed by another email a few minutes later saying the showing was cancelled, and that we needed to pick another timeWe went on and picked another time, got the email confirmation, and then another email saying that it was canceled, this time with no prompt to pick another timeWe emailed the agent asking why the second showing was cancelledHe responded the next day saying that he shouldn't have been given the showings because it wasn't his areaHe did not apologize or make any attempts to help us get a showing for this house Needless to say , by this point we were very frustrated Those experiences combined with the fact that the majority of the pre-approved showtimes on all of their rentals are only during week day work hours, really seem to present the impression that Home Encounters doesn't really seem to care whether we rent from them or notDefinitely doesn't leave a very favorable impression of their customer service skills
Karrie *** has been the best property manager my wife and I have ever hadWhat I thought was going to be a horrible experience of being evicted, she was able to clean up the mess of the previous property manager had left behindIt's a long story of emotions, but she went above and beyond to make sure we were okEven gave us a Christmas gift card as icing on topThank you Karrie and whomever hired Karrie!

Never rent an apartment from this "management" companyThe property manager ILLEGALLY and UNETHICALLY unplugged the outdoor AC unit for my apartment in the hottest summer month of the year, in attempt to force my boyfriend and I out of the unitI have never encountered such mistreatment as I have with this establishmentThis is one of the many things I experienced while under the "management" of Home Encounters
This company is the worse company I have ever had the displeasure of working with Everything they did was wrong and a total headache Being an out of town owner, they had someone living in my house before they rented it out They left their t.v., light fixtures, and other personal items They also took things that I had left in my home! Do not, I repeat, do not use these people, or you will be sorry

Joann L. has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I was over 900 miles away and she made the process seamless. I was comfortable in knowing that Joann would help me find a place that would meet my family's needs. She treated me like her only client, always responding to my calls, emails and texts in a timely manner. She demonstrated honesty and integrity. I trusted that the home was exactly as she said. I would recommend her and definitely work with her again.
