WOW we were so lucky to have found Home Energy & Comfort to do a complete evaluation of our home! They explained the ABC's of how they would go about making sure our home was more energy efficient Attic, Basement, Crawl Space!! Who Knew!! We had looked at several other companies, they said our insulation in the attic was enough Well, that wasn't the case when HE&C, LLC came!! We always have had high electric & propane bills & wondered why! Now we know, they went through the entire house, did a air conduction test recording all the information, showing us exactly what needed to be done Made everything so easy & explained everything thoroughly We had NO insulation in some places in our atticlYou cannot have your home too air tight because your home has to breath So they started in the attic, another air test, then basement another air test & crawl space another air test! Saved us literally thousands of dollars! We have not had to have the heat on & the house is warm at & degrees these cool nights! They are coming back to do a thermal reading when it gets colder out to check for any further energy loss They also advised us to call PECO & have an energy audit done! WHO KNEW there was such an audit that PECO did? The are great to work with Honest, totally understanding our needs & concerns Genuinely cared about helping usWe cannot thank them enough!!

PECO also supplied a list of qualified companies which, if used, would qualify our project for rebatesHE&C was one of five companies that visited our home and provided written estimates with a scope of work (what would be done), estimated rebates, estimated savings & payback periods All of the companies were good, HE&C was simply OUTSTANDING!
When the HE&C crew showed up (on time and fully prepared) the crew chief not only looked to get the job underway, he also showed concern for the welfare of the crew by limited time in the attic, protective clothing and adequate hydration for them He also took time to help a crewman learn on the job about a technique for getting a particular aspect of the work done VERY IMPRESSIVEOur energy bills have dropped considerably So much so that our heating oil supplier algorithm was out of whack into the winter and we had to have an emergency delivery (Not a problem cause they're also excellent AND we have heat pump back up)We also learned that we needed two more carbon monoxide detectors (a simple fix under $100)HE&C also took the time to follow up and when a problem resulting from the project cropped up, they were on it in a matter of days Everything is resolved, we're saving money, helping the environment, and more comfortable in our home
