Home Federal Savings Bank

I was approved for a mortgage that required a reserve amount to be added to the loan amount. I was told this amount would be released to me after one full year of a review of my personal income taxes and the property the loan was associated with, I was given a formula via e mail to follow that the bank would follow to allow this reserve money to be released, I was able to follow the guidelines given to me by the bank and submitted my information for the reserve to be released. The bank went forward with my request and admitted that they change the formula after giving it to me and have not released the my money. They acted without remorse or explanation as to why they changed the formula.

I received 2 letters from Home Federal on 2/29/2020 in the mail stating that they issued checks as a loan payoff refund, in the amounts of 193.04 each and they weren't cashed. The options were either pay $50 reissue fee or deposit to Home Federal account. I went to my bank (Associated Bank) to see if these checks had been deposited, since these checks were issued 3/28/2018 and 4/24/2018. These checks were almost 2 years old, so we were unable to go back that far to see the image deposits. Our bank called home office and determined, no these checks had not been deposited. BACK TO THIS TIME PERIOD: My father who passed away had a loan on a vehicle, which was bequeathed to me. Home Federal was taking these loan payments out of my bank account, until the estate was settled and the loan was paid off. The loan was paid off, but Home Federal continued to take payments out of our account. Talked to Sam at the Home Federal in Kasson, MN at that time. We received 2 checks from Home Federal for overpayment. BUT, they continued to take payments out of our bank account. We were not aware at the time. Until today when we got the print out, 2 more payments were taken out. These two payments would be the checks that were issued, but I never received. If I knew of these checks or received these checks, I would've deposited them. TODAY: My wife and I went to Home Federal in Rochester per the address on the letters.
