I selected Home Financing Center Inc. to refinance my home. It has not been a pleasant experience for me due in a large part to all the time that it has taken to process what is needed to get to a closing point. Unfortunately, after almost 30 years of marriage, I was required to do the refinancing to remove my ex-husband's name from the mortgage loan. My "Dissolution of Marriage Settlement" gave me a limited time frame to accomplish this within and it has been exceeded by a month if it is not completed by this Friday. It appears my paperwork is not submitted to the next section until after the needs of the current section are met...then they forward it on to the next section to review and make additional requests. This results in the requesting process becoming ongoing endeavor...while the file is sitting for quite some time in each section it highly increases the chances for re-requesting information that has changed due to the long time lapses...such as what occurred with me. I firmly believe that if they all got together in the beginning and coordinated what would be needed, while working all together towards that goal, the process would take only a couple of weeks - not months.
They recommended an incompetent Realtor from Venezuela that behaved in a greedy manner and displayed lack knowledge about Condo Association Reserves requirements for the Conventional Loan. Due to working with this useless Realtor a lot of valuable time was wasted. The staff was very unprofessional and never suggested any other loan type to resolve the issue. They should have disclosed the fact that a Conventional Loan with Fannie Mae Guidelines is a very restricted loan type due to the fact that that real estate market in South FL only 5% of the available properties have reserves. Therefore they seem to lack knowledge about this obstacle.
