Horrible service Called because the furnace wasn't workingThey came out and said it was a pressure switchFixed that for dollarsNext day no heat againWhen we called we were asked if we wanted him to just come get his partCame out the next day said we needed new furnacesAnd wanted dollars for service charges I called another heating and air person who came out and resolved our problem in less than min for dollars with our original pressure switchTwo service charges and they did nothing!!! Furnace works great now with out any help from home heating and air

The customer did call and say she had a water leakShe stated the drain line appeared to be missing and asked how much this repair would costThis customer like all our customers was told that we charge $trip charge to come out during business hours and that a total repair estimate
would be given upon our arrivalShe then went on to complain about her new tenant and the people sleeping in the basement and said she intended for them to pay the billWhen our technician arrived and evaluated the problem he gave her a repair estimate, at which point she began her ranting and ragingShe went as far as calling the office to complain about the cost, We told her she didn't have to do the repair! We could leave and she could hire someone elseShe wanted us to continue and finish the repairAfter the repair was done she refused to pay the estimated total and began swearing at the technician and throwing things around the basementOur technician was so shaken up by her antics he forgot to charge for our $trip charge then incorrectly added the total by $The customer called our office again acting very unprofessional complaining about the math error asking for an immediate refund of her $ Her $was refunded immediately she received an e-mail notice of the refund well before she wrote this complaint We have pictures of the repair work, it is professional and code compliantThis customer has a trip charge that was already waived and a properly working system This customer is a slum lord who received her new furnaces through a weatherization agency for low income tenantsShe never paid to have them installed and never paid to have regular maintenance on themNow she wants all her repairs free tooThe only further action taken by us will be in court for her attempted slander should her antics in anyway harm our business

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
In response: When I contacted Pro-Tech Mechanical I spoke to Linda who said that she would have someone call me back. Shortly I received a call from [redacted] and as I originally stated he said "could be $200.00 or even more if the trap was cracked and that they would have to take a look at it". That was all that I was told. We proceeded to set up an approx. appt. time and that was the end of our conversation. There was no such conversation regarding a new tenant especially since my tenant has been in the home for 5 years. As far as people sleeping in the basement, I have no idea where this came from much less why this was stated as it is completely false however, even if it were true, what would it have to do with the furnace repair?
Upon the technicians arrival, I covered that in my original complaint and I did question a $300.00 estimate and I told him what [redacted] told me on the phone the day before. I also did call the office back as I said and spoke to [redacted] again regarding the cost. It was at that time that I was told that I could just pay the $65.00 charge and then I could call someone else to fix the furnace. I responded to [redacted] by telling him that if they weren't going to repair the furnace I would not pay them anything and I would get someone else for the repair.
Once the tech handed me the bill, I did refuse to pay the "Lump Sum" amount of $310.46 as I had stated. I asked for a break down of the parts and labor costs. I won't even respond to the accusation of "throwing things around the basement", it is more then ridiculous.
When the tech filled out the bill, there was no break down of a $65.00 trip charge, as I said, it was a "Lump Sum" bill. When the tech re-wrote the bill there also was no $65.00 trip charge and when the tech refigured the bill, there still was no $65.00 trip charge in the break down of charges. One could only assume that the trip charge was included or the original billed amount would have actually been charged at $375.00 or more. This by any means is price gouging in my opinion. To be sure of this, I have contacted 3 other Companies who all quoted me verbal estimates of  between $125.00 and $175.00 which includes their trip charges. This would confirm the requested refunded amount of $130.00 I had asked for due to there gouging of customers. If they couldn't or didn't want to do the job they should have simply said so and left.
I did call, told [redacted] about the math error of $9.00 and I did ask for an immediate refund he hung up on me and I never heard from them again. They claim that they emailed me a refund and since they never had my email address, I would like to see a copy of the email and ask where did they sent it to?
"Unprofessional" is a company that is dishonest, makes false statements, leaves for the same part 2 times because they didn't have it then had the wrong size only to proceed to "Make-Shift" a fitting that sticks out quite a bit from the furnace and has a rather large hole on top which now can have things put into it thus leaving the potential for more problems down the road. This is NOT how it should be, it is NOT what was there as I also took pictures of what was done as well as what should have been done to be correct.
As to the $65.00 trip charge, was it included, forgotten or waived, you seem to be making all of these statements. In responding to the furnaces being installed through a weatherization agency for low income tenants and the statement of "She never paid to have them installed". I would like an explanation as to what bearing that has on any of this. This is a program that the tenant applies for and it is done solely for the benefit of the tenants. If Pro-Tech has such a problem with that, I asked why do they contract to do the installs for the weatherization agency? As far as the statement "never paid to have regular maintenance on them", I would like to see the proof as they have NO knowledge of any of my maintenance records.
Finally, the "Slum Lord" statement falls under the category of "Slander " as well as "Defamation of Character" therefore I do agree that court may become the further action to be taken as they have stated.

This complainant is illusive in her description of events in order to profit. The lower tenant has been in the home for five years, the upper tenant recently moved in.
We know this because the tenants contacted our office complaining that the landlord attempted to get them to pay for the service charge. After the upper tenant claimed not to have been in the basement she went after the lower tenant to pay the bill. The caller went on to tell us how the land lord has done this time and time again with contractors. The cable /Satellite company refuses to provide service to the home because of the way they were treated.  Apparently she tried to get them to pay for a roof , Offensive unprofessional behavior appears to be a tactic the tenant has seen before from the landlady when disputing charges. As a resolution to the matter our company will if desired install the new drain tee under the electrical box if requested or we'll donate the $130.00 to a church or non profit of her choice.
Attached is the E-mail showing her immediate refund for the $9.00 which was e-mailed to her the same day.

I believe I have been as honest and straight forward in describing what had taken place. The issue at hand is the "make-shift" furnace repair and the price gouging that was done by this Company.
I paid for the furnace repair and I can prove it. Whether or not any of my tenants are to reimburse me is none of their concern and if the tenant is not happy living in my house, she would never have stayed for 5 years.
My tenants have both cable and satellite services per their choices, again, not that it is any of their business or concern. As for the roof, it is new as of late last year, paid for by me and is non of their business or concern and has absolutely nothing to do with a furnace repair.
As a resolution, yes I want the proper repair to be done, with the proper drain tee, it is what I expected from the beginning. I also feel that a refund of some of the money is still warranted. I would be willing to accept $56.00 as I was originally told " it COULD BE $200.00". As for the email, again, I never received it as the company does NOT have my email address and never asked for it and I see that they haven't said what email address they sent it to either. The attachment that was sent, I can not open.
This Company needs to stop playing games. They can contact me on my phone to set up an appointment to complete the proper repair with the appropriate drain tee and they should also be willing to refund some of the money or I would accept a check from them made out to a Charity of my choice which I would then send in.

Horrible service.
Called because the furnace wasn't working. They came out and said it was a pressure switch. Fixed that for 400 dollars. Next day no heat again. When we called we were asked if we wanted him to just come get his part. Came out the next day said we needed new furnaces. And wanted 137 dollars for service charges. I called another heating and air person who came out and resolved our problem in less than 15 min for 58 dollars with our original pressure switch. Two service charges and they did nothing!!! Furnace works great now with out any help from home heating and air.
