First of all this is the first I have seen of this complaintThere is little accurate in Mr [redacted] s complaint For one the date of the initial inspection was November 26, 2017, not 10/15/ The inspection fee was quoted to him at time of scheduling and it was $139, not $His assertion that he had no intention of just getting an inspection is falseHe has an improperly installed wood-burning insert that has to un-installed to perform a sweep and then re-installed I did fail to get back to him with pricing and for that I was ready to apologize However after leaving me a couple of messages he then left me a message threatening Revdex.com complaint, Chamber of Commerce Complaint, Small Claims Action I have that voice mail saved.I then called him back still willing to do the work, but he just wanted it cleaned for $and said I don't know that it is un-safe I told him to find someone else since he would be a major liability to my companyAlso, the charge for un-installing, sweeping and re-installing an insert is $300_$Not $that he states in the complaint My regular rate for a properly installed and lined insert is $ Thank You

I am rejecting this response because: The only thing inaccurate about my complaint was the date of (No service) I still have a dirty chimneyAfter months and months of being ignored about getting back with me on an estimate for cleaning my chimney I had forgot when he was actually here so I guessed at the dateHe is correct about the date he was hereYes $is what I paid him also not $130,00, but that's fairly accuratethank you for giving the exact amount I paid, but for service I never received; which is a clean chimneyMy understanding is that a chimney sweep should clean your chimney since that is what I needed and to bring the correct equipment incase a stove insert needs movedThe inspection was just a bonus not what I wantedwhen he was here he did give me a thorough estimate and I even helped him with a latter and was with him while he explained everythingIts not my fault that he was overworked and overbooked, I still expected results in getting a clean chimneywhen he scooted my stove insert out and showed me how dirty my chimney is he got soot and ash on my hearth and never even cleaned thatthat little bit of ash, he just told me to sweep it up while he was leavingAnyway, I paid $for a inspection that's pretty much worthless, I was ignored for months on end about when he might come back & how much more he was wanting to chargeNow I need to find and pay for a new chimney sweep who will actually do the job! I would like a $refund so I can put it towards a chimney sweep who will actually clean my chimneyThank You

I would gladly refund this guy $to be rid of him. I have been in the in-home service business for over years, serving probably in the neighborhood of 15,customers. They are where I get most of my referrals.I would like to publicly apologize to him for not getting back to him with a proposal for a proper and safe installation. Had I promptly responded with a proposal, I doubt any of this would have happened. I do hope he hires someone that actually knows the NFPA Fire Standards and the International Residential Code as it applies to his installationHis installation does not meet code and is a hazard to him and his family if he were to operate it as is currently installed

Also, the charge for un-installing, sweeping and re-installing an insert is $300_$450. Not $180 that he states in the complaint.  My regular rate for a properly installed and lined insert is $189.  Thank You
