I purchased a TV from Home Line Electronics in January 2019, was told by the store (as well as stated on the receipt) that it comes with one year warranty from the manufacturer. TV started having issues (No picture, only audio works) in July, I contacted the manufacturer to diagnosis the issue. They confirmed the TV needs to be serviced, but subsequently told me the TV is not eligible for warranty because Home Line Electronics is not an authorized dealer. I called the store owner and he said his store is not actually an authorized dealer but its parent company is, and he will contact the parent company to provide me with the documentation by email so my TV can qualify for the warranty. I contacted the store owner again after not receiving the document for days but he started ignoring my calls. I then went into the store, store representative couldn't make any decisions so he called the owner. The owner picked up the call, and told me that if I still don't receive the document the next day he will exchange the TV for a brand new one for me. After that he never answered my calls again and not showed up to the store.

Desired Outcome

I'm seeking full refund from the business since they falsely advertised their TVs come with one year warranty from the manufacturer. I'll accept exchange only for an absolute brand new unit (not refurbished or opened-box) and that they can prove the new unit qualifies for manufacturer warranty.

This is a complaint for New Line Electronics, I bought a BRAND NEW 55? *** 4K CURVED TV last July 15,2018. Unfortunaty after 8 months, March 17,2019 , the TV JUST SHUT OFF AND IT WON'T TURN ON ANYMORE. I phoned them the next day, they told me to call *** CANADA for warranty claim, so I called, that is the time that I found out that the TV that I got was NOT A BRAND NEW, It is a second hand TV. There is NO SERIAL NUMBER at the back panel of the TV, they erased it on purpose. I've been calling them for 10days already, and THEY ARE IGNORING MY CALLS, they will just send me text message that they are going to call me back shortly but they never did. I texted them and told them that I am going to bring the TV back to their store and just give my money back, that's the best solution they can give. But I didn't get a reply. I tried to call them again but they still ignore my calls.

Desired Outcome

Refund I wanted New Line Electronics, to give me a FULL REFUND. I will return the TV to their store, they just have to give my money back, the whole amount that i paid. Thank you

I am also glad to inform you that the New Line Electronics has contacted me again to resolve the issue, they made a settlement to my satisfaction. They already replaced my TV with a brand new one. So everything has been settled now.
