Review: I am writing this for my friend because she is Russian and she speaks and reads some english but is not fluent. My friend is a hard worker,I know all of us are hard workers but she takes it to another level and always has a smile on her face. She actually works for me, cleaning my house and others as a single mother and student. She went to this furniture store around mid September and ordered furniture from a Sales associate [redacted] They notified her that her product that was desired was no longer in stock, they told her to come and pick something else out. When she went to the store [redacted] showed her a comparable sofa but said the color would be slightly diffrent. My friend was worried that she wouldnt like it because she didn'e see it, he told her that she has no concerns that he would return the product if she didnt like it. While working the furniture was delievered to her house and her Russian speaking mother signed for it. When she came home she was completely shocked. The couch was not what she had ordered, the couch looked wrinkled and smelled musty. She said it looks like its a hundred years old. She said when she called with her disapproval the story changed and the company told her that she could return the couch as a courtesy, but would have to pay a 30% restocking fee and $49.00 for delivery. I told her I would call for her because of her english barrier. I called around 9:00 AM and was greeted by [redacted] that was approachable but not at all customer service savvy. She told me that ** the manager would give me a call back he was busy. At around 2:30 P.M. I received a call from ** the manager. I explained to him the concerns. His response was it was a sectional for 791.00 basically what did she expect, that if I were to put a bad rating for him he would sue me for libel. I told him how unethical it was to manipulate this women in to buying this product and not taking it back. He said that if she keeps it he will give her a lamp and if he returns it she will lose 300.Desired Settlement: This woman was manipulated and lied to about the purchase. The customer service at the store was beyond below average. I will tell anyone I can to never buy anything from them. This women has no money and made a huge investment in this couch and was manipulated, lied to and robbed
