complaint because this is my livelihood. The customer had called wanting us to clean her small house before she completely moved inWhen I told her the price of $and that it would get her for hours of labor, she said that her house did not require four hours of labor and that she thought it was too expensive Then two days later she called back and decided to go ahead and use our serviceAt that time I told her again that we charge $per hour per person with a four hour minimumWhich is a total of $including tax. Before the customer left she had mentioned that she was sure it would take longer than four hours to clean because she had added extras to the listHer and I then decided that we would try to get it completed in no more than five hours of labor or around $200. The customer left and we started cleaning at 12:PM. Following are the duties we performed:::: In the kitchen;; we cleaned top, side, inside the refrigerator, inside the oven, the racks inside the oven, top of stove, the knobs and the burners were removed and cleaned in the sink, microwave inside and out, the glass plate inside the microwave, kitchen cabinets inside and out, shelves, sink, countertops, swept and mop the floor on our hands and knees, got a ladder and took the hanging lights down and wash them in the sink and put back up, took stainless steel cleaner to buff the refrigerator and the stove, in the bathroom;; toilet, towel cabinet inside and out, mirror, the lights over the mirror, medicine cabinet inside, bathtub morning inside, bathtub outside, tile shower stall/wall , swept and mop the floor on hands and knees, the laundry room;; cleaned washer and dryer, the cabinets inside and out, swept and mopped the floors, two bedrooms and the living room;; swept and mopped all floors, dusted the tables in the living room , throughout house;; we cleaned three glass doors inside and out, cleaned windows (I think 10) Inside and out, and window ledges. We started cleaning at 12:50 Finished cleaning at 3:20. That's hours for each person There were three people at hours each for a grand total of hours. hours x $per hour= $plus tax . I only charged her for hours not hoursx$= $203.50. That's a savings of over $70. Plus I did not charge her taxesWhich would've been $more. So that's $that I saved her that dayI also did not charge her when she was minutes late. Our company stayed longer than what we were paid forI gave her a break on the price because we wanted to retain her business for future cleaningsThe customer walked around the house and looked at the job we had completed before she wrote the checkAt any time while going through the tour she could have pointed out anything that she did not feel was cleaned to her satisfactionI would have gladly stayed and complete it This customer is not entitled to a refundI can say with an honest heart that she was not taken advantage of. She sent us pictures of a couple things but she stated did not get cleaned to her satisfactionAll I know is that she was given a break on the price, and she was very very satisfied the day we were thereShe was so satisfied that she did not ask us to re-clean anything and she wrote the check Thank you.

Hi At this point I'm not sure what can be doneObviously our reputation is very important to us. But somethings are worth standing up for even if it tarnishes my reputationI will recover from that I don't like bulliesIt seemed as though *** was threatening to try to take Maid to Mop down through social mediaI don't work well with threats. The customer paid for five hours of cleaning and received five hours of cleaning In her first complaint she even stated that she wanted us to keep the $check Why would a customer who's dissatisfied with their cleaning tell me to keep the check? I asked *** to contact me Saturday after the cleaning if there were any problems with the cleaning I talked with *** about or 5:PMWe heard nothing from *** for three daysAs a matter fact, *** never complainedHer partner *** is the one who complained How can I be expected to rectify a situation when I wasn't aware there was a situation for three daysIt's too late for me to go over and look at the cleaningI was there the day of the cleaning at about 330Pm The crew was doing an awesome job. *** then asked for a refundWhy would I give a refund if I did five hours of work and I got paid for five hours? If she was not happy with the cleaning she should've called Saturday, we could have returned If it required another hour of cleaning we could've charged her appropriately for more time She also stated in her complaint that I should call the landlord and work something out with himWhat landlord, what's his name, what's his phone number? Even if I did call her landlord, I would tell him the same thing*** paid for five hours of cleaning and we cleaned for five hours.

The business is completely missing the pointThe services were crapI have pictures to prove itAlso, I contacted maid to mop the very same day I reached out to the Revdex.com and I have to date no response from the email that I sentAdditionally, hours of work? When of them were spent drinking beer and smoking cigarettes? Would you like testimonials from my neighbor that watched through binoculars and the "professional cleaners" cleaned for hours? Bogus. Also I don't practice business by cancelling checksWhy would I do that? Why would I cancel a check and not go about it I'm a professional manner? Reaching out to Revdex.com and the business which again, no response to my email or contact to my "partner" *** when she was copied on the email and BOTH our phone numbers were listed for return responses? But it is my fault that you don't know how to respond to emails?Screen shots of my email sent on Sunday July 5th are uploaded. Additionally, I never asked you to contact my landlordRead the complaint and email I wrote again I said to rectify the situation you could reclean the rental property if that is how you would like to refund me for your crappy servicesThat was a choice in both the email and complaint. At this point because you have no clue how to do business I am demanding a refund and if the Revdex.com can't get it for me someone else will. All pictures of the email won't upload but would be happy to provide it all. Unfortunately, looking back the pictures have been deleted from my phone but that is a moot pointIf we need witnesses our neighbors and landlord who saw the property and myself who spent an additional hours can testify to how crappy of a cleaning job it was. Finally, those who feel threatened by comments about their business only feel threatened because they are in fact wrong and carry a guilty consciousSpeaks volumes, doesn't it?

That's Fine. My time, my health and my future is in question with my cancer treatments and surgery so It's worth the $100 loss to end this. This is the first time in 25 years doing business that a customer has ever put me in this situation.  I guess Maid to Mop is doing well if it's the only problem I've had in 25 years. Lol As long as she does what she states and doesn't say anything negative about   Maid to Mop , then we are in agreement. I will not post anything negative about her   or publish her address on fb. Maid to Mop, Inc.P.O. Box 340284Columbus, Ohio 43234614-764-6900 [email protected] www.maidtomop.net

Hi, my name is [redacted] and I'm the owner of Maid to Mop. It's very upsetting to get a complaint. As you can tell by looking at our record, that we have a great service record.  I take a lot of pride in this. Customer service is very important part of our business. So I will address this...

complaint because this is my livelihood. The customer had called wanting us to clean her small house before she completely moved in. When I told her the price of $158 and that it would get her for hours of labor, she  said that her house did not require four hours of labor and that she thought it was too expensive.   Then two days later she called back and decided to go ahead and use our service. At that time I told her again that we charge $37 per hour per person with a four hour minimum. Which is a total of $158 including tax.  We scheduled the appointment for Thursday at 12:15 PM. She would get two workers for two hours. My crew arrived at 12:15 PM I also arrived at 12:15 PM and drove separately. Anytime we have a new customer I try  to be there to  meet the customer and go over all the details. If possible, I'll stay and clean alongside the crew. Before the customer left she had mentioned that she was sure it would take longer than four hours to clean because she had added extras to the list. Her and I then decided that we would try to get it completed in no more than five hours of labor  or around $200. The customer left and we started cleaning at 12:50 PM. Following are the duties we performed::::  In the kitchen;; we cleaned top, side, inside the refrigerator, inside the oven, the racks inside the oven, top of stove, the knobs and the burners were removed and cleaned in the sink, microwave  inside and out, the glass plate inside the microwave, kitchen cabinets inside and out, shelves, sink, countertops, swept and mop the floor on our hands and knees, got a  ladder and took the hanging lights down and wash them in the sink and put back up, took stainless steel cleaner to buff the refrigerator and the stove, in the bathroom;;  toilet, towel cabinet inside and out,  mirror, the lights over the mirror,  medicine cabinet inside, bathtub morning inside, bathtub outside, tile shower stall/wall ,  swept and  mop the floor on hands and knees, the laundry room;;  cleaned washer and dryer, the cabinets inside and out, swept and mopped the floors, two bedrooms and the living room;; swept and mopped all floors,  dusted the tables in the living room , throughout house;; we cleaned three glass doors inside and out, cleaned 10 windows (I think 10)   Inside and out, and window ledges.  At 3pm  I texted the customer and told her we would be done in about 10 minutes. When the customer arrived, we were not done yet. She sat and waited while we completed the job. We had completed the job at 3:30 PM. I then took the customer around the house and showed her all the work we had done. I pointed out things that  we were not able to get completely cleaned. The toilet had a lot of rust under the rim and would not come clean. The bathtub and the shower stall wall were covered in a brownish haze. I thought it might've been cigarette smoke.  I used a whole bottle of soap sm remover, scratchy pad, and magic eraser to trying get all this brownish haze off. I got about 80% of it off.  I told her  we could have stayed longer and done more work, however, we had already gone over the five hour target.  She was quite happy with the job and then wrote the check. She then asked about how much it would cost to come and clean her house once a month.  We talked for 10 minutes and left.   After reading her complaints, I do agree that there was one thing I forgot to clean. There were three shelves in the kitchen. I cleaned 2 of the shelves. The third shelf was too tall and I needed to get the ladder and I forgot to do that.   I do not feel that this  customer is entitled to any refund. She was already given a great break on the price.  We started cleaning at 12:50  Finished cleaning at 3:20. That's  2.5 hours for each person.  There were three people at 2.5 hours each for a grand total of 7.5 hours. 7.5 hours x $37 per hour= $277 plus tax .  I only charged her for 5.5 hours not 7.5 hours. 5.5 x$37 = $203.50.  That's a savings of  over $70.  Plus I did not charge her taxes. Which would've been $14 more. So  that's $84 that I saved her that day. I also did not charge her when she was 20 minutes late.  Our company stayed longer than what we were paid for. I gave her a break on the price because we wanted to retain her business for future cleanings. The customer walked around the house and looked at the job we had completed before she wrote the check. At any time  while going through the tour she could have pointed out anything that she did not feel was cleaned to her satisfaction. I would have gladly stayed and complete it.    This customer is not entitled to a refund. I can say with an honest heart that she was not taken advantage of.  She sent us pictures of a couple things but she stated did not get  cleaned to her satisfaction. All I know is that she was given a break on the price, and she was very very satisfied the day we were there. She was so satisfied that she did not ask us to re-clean anything and she wrote the check.  Thank you.

Hi At this point I'm not sure what can be done. Obviously our reputation is very important to us.  But somethings are worth standing up for even if it tarnishes my reputation. I will recover from that.  I don't like bullies. It seemed as though [redacted] was threatening to try to take Maid to Mop down through social media. I don't work well with threats. The customer paid for five hours of cleaning  and received five hours of cleaning.   In her first complaint she even stated that she wanted us to keep the $200 check.   Why would a customer who's dissatisfied with their cleaning tell me to keep the check?  I asked [redacted] to contact me Saturday after the cleaning if there were any problems with the cleaning.  I talked with [redacted] about 515 or 5:20 PM. We heard nothing from [redacted] for three days. As a matter fact, [redacted] never complained. Her  partner [redacted] is the one who complained.   How can I be expected to rectify a situation when I wasn't aware there was a situation for three days. It's too late for me to go over and look at the cleaning. I was there the day of the cleaning at about 330Pm.  The crew was doing an awesome job.   [redacted] then asked for a refund. Why would I give a refund if I did five hours of work and I got paid for five hours? If she was not happy with the cleaning she should've called Saturday, we could have returned.  If it required another hour of cleaning we could've charged her appropriately for more time.  She also stated in her complaint that I should call the landlord and work something out with him. What landlord, what's his name, what's his phone number? Even if I did call her landlord, I would tell him the same thing. [redacted] paid for five hours of cleaning and we cleaned for five hours.

HI I am the owner of Maid to Mop and I have never spoke with this woman, [redacted]. I spoke with her life partner, [redacted]. Who is the one I gave the estimate to and explained how the cleaning would go. 1.      She wanted cleaned on July 2nd. It’s a holiday weekend. She...

wanted late in the day, the same day they were moving out. I explained that it makes our job harder and potentially longer if we are all in the house at same time. All walking over all the work we are doing. We thought 5 hours would be enough. But without seeing the house, I would have no way of knowing how long.  I charged her our regular hourly rate. I should have charged $5……… (Revdex.com Note:  Response transcribed from screenshots.  It appears some of the response is not included in the screenshot.) 2.       She explained what she needed completed. Worker started cleaning. She was alone for 1 hr.. then the second worker showed up at 3 pm. One of the homeowners was still there and met the worker who just arrived. They both worked till 510pm. First worker 2 – 51:10. 3 hr 10 mins. Second worker 3-5:10. 2 hr 10 mins Total of 5 hrs and 20 mins between both workers. [redacted] and [redacted] paid for 5 hrs. Did not charged them the 20 mins over. 3.       At 3:30 pm I stopped by the job site. Because it was a holiday I wanted to help get both workers out sooner. I checked on their work and it was looking very good. I was there for 20 mins. 4.       I noticed garbage bags out front. Both of my workers mentioned that they were told that the bags were going to the trash. However, if there was anything in the bags they wanted, they could take. So when it was 5:10 and the job was completed, they did look in the bags. As they were granted permission to do so and they were no longer on the clock. 5.       Also the customer had mentioned that there was beer in fridge. They were welcome to have a beer because it was a holiday weekend. That was the offer from the customer. My workers would never take it  upon themselves to take anything out of fridge unless authorized. They both took a beer. But it was only after 5:10. When they were both off the clock and were out front looking in the bags. 6.       At 520 [redacted] called me and said their neighbor saw the workers out front and were about to leave. I informed her then that their 5 hrs (what they had paid for) was up. I told her to call me ASAP when she arrived at home at let me know how the cleaning went. If she needed anything else to call me. This was sat July 2nd at 5:25. 7.       I never heard from [redacted] or her love partner, [redacted], again. So I assumed all was well. 8.       Then 3 days later she contacted the Revdex.com. By this time there really isn’t much I can do. They contracted for 4 hours and they received 4 hrs and 20 mins. I told her specifically to contact me if there were any issues when she got back to the house on sat. She said she was on her way back. She did not call. 9.       They offered beer when workers were completed with job. They gave permission to look in bags to see if they wanted anything before it went to trash. So I’m not sure why it’s even brought up in her complaint. She offered. She wasn’t charged for that time. 10.   We went above any other cleaning service. A.      Worked holiday weekend B.      Didn’t charge holiday pay C.      Stayed longer than contracted and paid. 11.   My problems with this complaint: A.      Was not given any chance on sat to go back out and look at whatever their issues were. B.      She stated that she was not going to stop payment on the check. Why not? If completed job was so horrible that she is calling us scammers, then why wouldn’t she have stopped payment. It confuses me. C.      It took 3 days to complain to the Revdex.com. She did not call Maid to Mop to complain. We were surprised. D.      If her neighbors actually called her about how we were out front just drinking, smoking and trashing p the place, shy wouldn’t she come to the house and check it out. Why wouldn’t she call me and complain? I know my first reaction would be to go the house and verify what was going on and call corporate office and complain. I’m not sure what to do now. She mentioned something about me contacting her landlord.  I could do that. But I don’t know who that is.  I hate feeling threatened by someone. Her name smearing our company, threats of canceled services by her friends, threats of spreading rumors via social media. I don’t work this way. E.       Submitted 07/18/2016
