Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I know your job is not easy, and can be very frustrating at times. Siding with the business owner seems like the easy choice. However, this man (Marc L[redacted]) is lying to you. Here's why :
Prior to moving into the apartment, he was supposed to walk us through the apartment and show us all the damage...he did not do that. He simply filled out a piece of paper that told us the apartment was in good overall condition. And this was my first time renting, so I was unaware of rental agreement protocol. In this case, Marc did not do his job by misleading me. He also never did a walk through of the apartment before my flight home (which is against the contract).
Second, I never once placed food inside that oven because every time I turned it on, the apartment would smell like natural gas.
Also, I have pictures attached that prove the stove was properly cleaned and that Marc lied about having the apartment cleaned. If you take a look at the kitchen sink picture that I took with my [redacted], you'll see that the sink strainer was placed (by me) behind the faucet. 3 weeks go by and Marc decides to post this apartment on [redacted], so what does he do? He takes pictures of the rooms. If you see in his [redacted] picture that I took from the internet, you'll see that the sink strainer is in the exact same location and position as the way I left it (3 or so weeks prior). If he had the apartment professionally cleaned, certainly the cleaner would have moved the sink strainer from the exact location that I left it. I sent you all the pictures from [redacted] so you'll know what date the pictures were posted. I have a few other pictures that prove he never touched the room, nor did a cleaner. The pictures that I took with my cell phone were taken on 4/30/15....just one day before my flight home. His pictures were taken on May 21, 2015.....three weeks later (after I received my security deposit refund). This is hard evidence that he never had the room cleaned after I moved out, which should result in the return of my $300.
Please believe me when I say that I know how to clean, I run an auto & boat detailing company. I definitely know, and am willing to clean up after myself. Trust me, that apartment was spotless the day I left. Mr. L[redacted] is flat out lying to you.
Also, if you take a close look at the bathroom and bedroom tiles, you will see that there is black mold spots in many areas. I tried my best to get rid of it, but it is very difficult without the professional equipment and supplies. And because of the mold issue, he offered to move us into another location that he owned at the [redacted]. Of course he never followed through even though I asked him about it several times. My allergies, as well as my girlfriend's asthma are still suffering because of it.
Please do not disregard this message. I am 100% positive that I am not the first one to complain about this company. Perhaps no one else has contacted the Revdex.com about Homenet Connections...probably because it requires time and effort to do so. This man (Marc) needs to understand that what he is doing is wrong, and if the Revdex.com doesn't do anything about it, he is going to get away with whatever he wants and continuing stealing money from poor renters like me until he retires.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the cleanliness concerns of Mr. [redacted].
Upon Mr. [redacted]'s check-out of his rental unit, there was no evidence of mold, however there was evidence of lack of cleaning. Per the lease agreement, Tenants are required to have the unit in clean and proper...

condition. The attached photographs show: Interior of the oven was covered in burned on grease, exterior of the stove and surrounding wall surface was splattered with grease, bathtub had soap residue, floor was dirty, windows were unwashed, furnishings had not been cleaned and the lanai was covered in dirt. This did require professional cleaning by a sole proprietor who does not have a storefront and rents an ohana unit from a private homeowner.
Attached please see the pictures documenting the dirt left by Mr. [redacted] and a copy of the checklist for vacating tenants that was sent to Mr. [redacted] 30 days prior to the check-out that outlines the cleaning requirements.
