In response to a complaint [redacted] we received your notice in the mail thank youI believe its unfortunate [redacted] is having room mate issues, however not at the fault of the agent who tried to help her when she found herself in an apartment she could not afford on her ownAs I explained to [redacted] , the owner of the house and the agent, we do not put room mates together and is not standard practice for any agency that I am aware ofHowever in this circumstances [redacted] reached out for help to the owner and the agent in my officeAfter several weeks if not not months [redacted] picked this person after meeting her and going out to dinner togetherWe were never contacted to do a background check on anyone, even so Medical or Substance abuse issues are not a part of a criminal background checks I believeOur standard practice for tenant screening includes, identification verification credit checks rental history and landlord reference checks, also income verification, rental history and landlord reference checksWe did receive a letter from the owner directly in support of the agents effortsHowever it is unfortunate the situation I do intend to pursue a claim if the agreed upon ( signed several times) goes unpaidAdditionally now I may be pursuing a separate claim for slander if the complaints continue and or go public as I believe them to be unsubstantiatedi will keep a copy of this letter for my records and furnish one to all parties involved
