Review: I sought the help of Home Preservation Advocates in September 2014 to assist me in getting help with a mortgage modification with my mortgage company. I was told I would need to make four trial modification payments of $523.98 beginning October 2014. I received a phone call every month from this company checking to see if I was making my payments on time. Every payment was made on time. After I mailed my final payment on December 26, 2014 I called my mortgage company to check the status of my modification and I was told that no one has ever called from Home Preservation Advocates representing me. I then contacted Home Preservation Advocates and infomed them of what my mortgage company told me and they asked me not to contact my mortgage company again as this would "mess up" communications with them. I know I have been scammed and I informed HPA of this. I have been dealing with a person by the name of[redacted] at HPA. I told him I wanted a full refund of $2,092.00 back that I paid them to represent me. I have been getting the run-around about my refund and [redacted] continues to tell me his "processing dept" is handling my request. That was one week ago. I have since made two phone calls to this company and no one is returning my calls. Home Preservation Advocates is a bogus company and needs to be put out of business. All I want is my money back and now I'm in deeper trouble with my mortgage company and will probably lose my home since there has been no contact with my mortgage company since September 2014.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $2,092.00 that I paid to this company. This amount represents the four installments of $523.00 that I have paid. I have money order receipts and bank statements that show this money was paid to Home Preservation Advocates.

Review: I advocated this company for assistance in helping me keep my home in PA.. I gave them 7,185.00 as they requested which was to go towards my mortgage modification with [redacted]. I terminated with HPA since they failed to provide [redacted] with all my documentation that was required. I have since been or gone through and been approved for modification at [redacted]. I have asked repeatedly for HPA to refund the 7,185.00 that they were supposed to give to my bank if HPA approved me. No return calls no response to email. I want my money back. Please help.Desired Settlement: Refund of 7,185.00 asap

Review: This company advertises that it will help modify your mortgage. I provided information and a trial payment in the amount of $1,392.05. I was told that they would contact my current mortgagor but have not. Now I am unable to contact anyone with the company. My mortgagor was the one to tell me that this is a scam. These people are taking advantage of persons already struggling to make their mortgage payments. I am now facing foreclosure on my home as a result.Desired Settlement: I just want to receive a full refund in the amount of $1,392.05.
