First let me state this place is a okay place to stay but not in my top places to liveThe people that live, I've never had a issue withOak city Apartments did well by weeding out the bad ones I gave them a star because of the community and the people that live there and the leasing agents are very niceBut I would give Oakland City Apartments as a company a one starThe reason is because it seems most or if not just about every apartment company is a thief and stealing from the people that live there, far as the prices they charge and how the ripe people off with fees after they move I'll cut this short as possible, I lived here for a year and I moved out in February I cleaned the apartment top and bottomDid a walk through with one of the leasing agents and she was just amazed how well the apartment was cleanedI informed here in the bedroom seems like the window was cracked but from outside and I didn't notice it until months later and didn't pay it any mind because it was small and wasn't from the inside but over time the crack grow and I didn't notice it until I was packingI never open the bedroom window because one I'm on the first floor and I spent most of my time in the living room and I don't even have a TV in my bedroomAfter that she seen a satellite dish on the porch and I told her that's not mineI never had dish service before and I haven't had cable in over yearsPlus that was there when I moved and I thought it was somebody else staying there that needed it there for service which I didn't careSo about a month later I get my deposit check back but not the amount I depositedThey charged me dollars to remove the satellite dish and dollars for a replacement windowI called and spoke to the [redacted] manager and Mr [redacted] stated he understands but that's the call the company made and they have to charge me because I didn't report itAll I could do is sake my head I'm going to not give up on this and fight thisI don't care if it was only bucksI can never justify taking responsibility for something I didn't doI have proof and witnesses so small claims court here I come!

I'll cut this short as possible, I lived here for a year and I moved out in February 2016. I cleaned the apartment top and bottom. I called and spoke to the [redacted] manager and Mr. [redacted] stated he understands but that's the call the company made and they have to charge me because I didn't report it. All I could do is sake my head. I'm going to not give up on this and fight this. I don't care if it was only 50 bucks. I can never justify taking responsibility for something I didn't do. I have proof and witnesses so small claims court here I come!
