Terrible business that will scam you any chance they getThey are vultures of the tow worldUse caution when having to deal with these peopleVery U pleasurable experience

This company is the most unethical and low of their industryTheir business practices, while apparently barely legal, are predatory and morally reprehensibleThey take advantage of people by hiding behind loose statutory requirements such as not placing adequate signageIf there is an underhanded way to conduct business, I'm sure they will find it and exploit it

I currently reside at Bootranch Apartments and pay an additional fee monthly for my own reserved parking spaceHowever on the night of 01/23/my car was illegally towed from my own "reserved" parking spaceComm tow has all of my vehicle information matching my parking addendumI was told over the phone that my fees would be waived being that I was towed in error but they were notAfter waiting an additional hrs to retrieve my vehicle I was told I had to pay $and they weren't waiving anythingI tried contacting the "manager" of comm tow and conveniently he didnt answerI needed my car and half of my day was already gone do I paid and leftThis should not be allowed to happen ever!

I was a towed resident with a properly displayed decalJust stated "improper parking"$later around midnight I finally have my truck backWho is to stop these guys from literally picking up any car they want? Is this not theft??!! I will be taking this to small claims court

We had to pay for a ride there too$plus personal $$ costs!! There were other families from different asociations there alsoPeople hAd to leave for ATM'sWe even had to wait because they needed an hour window for soneone to show up and collect money and open the gateTrue sham!

Absolutely, unprofessional bullies. Took my vehicle that was properly parked. When I called to get it back, I was hung up on. Finally got my vehicle back and they parked it illegally. I get home to late from work and all of the legal spots are taken. I called from work to make sure they didnt take it again and James the dispatch manager said there was nothing he could do and hung up on me in mid-sentence. I called back to see what happened and James was again rude and kept shouting "do you have another question?!" They target vehicles at times when management is not on property so they can hold the vehicle until a problem is resolved thus jacking up their "storage fee". Unprofessional, disrespectful and crooked. Those are the nice things I can say about my experience.

After coming home and parking my car with my parking permit I awoke to it missing. I called the police who told me it was towed and they didn't know why. I called Commtow and was told that my apartment had issued new parking permits. Meanwhile the pal ring lots are full of cars with the same permit as mine, including my girlfriends who was parked right next to me. And let's not forget about the 3 cars with no stickers, at all. Obviously I anyone had said anything about new parking passes I would have one since I live in the complex. It's amazing that while having a Commtow sticker on my car in the complex that I pay to live in I was towed and others with the same pass or no pass at all weren't.

This is a despicable company that lines its pockets by contracting with housing complexes to tow vehicles for petty "infractions" that are generally unknown. They perform stealth tow-aways at night and drag your vehicle into their small, tightly packed dismal and very dim dirt lot with snarling pit bull imprisoned within the chain
link confines. They don't leave any notice of the tow, so it appears, at first, that your car has been stolen. Only after you call the police do you find out where your car is and that your car (and contents; ie laptop and briefcase) have been taken by CommTow.. Finding transportation to this awful location at midnight or later is a critical problem. When you arrive you discover that you must make an "appointment" for an hour later and that the "fees" start at $185 with lots of arbitrary add-ons.
This is just one despicable money making racket. We're not talking ,about blocking fire lanes here, or emergency access or double parking, or obstructing traffic or creating any safety problem or public inconvenience. This is just stealth attacks after dark for petty and unknown violations to extort money from unsuspecting victims.
Be careful, if you don't have the money to retrieve your vehicle in the middle of the night, they will charge you big bucks to "store" your car for every day that it remains. Charges multiply rapidly. Then if you don't pay the escalated charges, they keep your car and sell it.
If you suspect that your car was damaged during the tow ask to see their "pre-tow" photos and video. They don't tell you about these. So, unless you are in the habit of doing a thorough examination and photo documentation of your vehicle every morning you probably won't know about rather minor damages to your car. I found tiny but deep scratches on my front fender after the tow that I thought they must have done with hook and chain as there was no paint transfer and I had not noticed them before. After several communications with them about the scratches, they finally informed me of the pre-tow photos and proved that they were pre-existing. The GM threatened me that I was trying to commit fraud by reporting the damage. Just one more insult following a truly horrific experience with Commtow.

Harbour Pointe Apts and Commtow: Our vehicle was towed on 12/16/14 ( guess they needed Christmas Money ) stating it wasn't in a single parking spot - in other words, Commtow explanation: it was taking two parking spots. However, when parked there was a one ton dually pick up truck next to our vehicle that was on the white line. In order to make more room to get out our vehicle...we had to park our vehicle was on the white line as well. Leaving enough room for us to open a door on both sides. However, Commtow stated and showed us a picture of the vehicle that we parked being across the white line stating it was taking up two parking spots, way beyond how we parked. Our vehicle was picked up and moved and replaced across the white line in order to receive monies.. This was NOT the case when it was parked. Due to the one ton dually we have now paid COMMTOW their 185.00 for the tow and the return of our vehicle. How can you sleep at night knowing that what you did was wrong, Burn in [redacted] people. You have been filmed pilfering through people's vehicles. Just be aware it has been submitted to law enforcement, paybacks ....

Horrible customer service.

My granddaughter stopped at the 7-eleven next to the Garden Walk Apartments at 2 in the morning on her way home from a family get together. Her car was over-heating and she needed to let it cool down before she could put water in it. The manager of the Garden Walk Apartment Complex walked up to her and she asked if it was OK to park there (her front tire was over the line). He assured her that she was fine. While she was putting water in her car with the hood up the tow truck backed up and towed her car. Every time she goes to get it at Commtow they tack on another fee. This happened a week and half ago and she still doesn't have her car back. She can't work because it is too far to walk and right now she has no funds. Obviously from other complaints, the Garden Walk Apt.s are a part of this scam. [redacted] had her wallet and all ID stolen and didn't have her driver's license, but she had her title and registration. They refused to release the car. If anyone can help. Please Have been pleading with
Bradenton Police Dept. for some help because [redacted] had a case number of her stolen wallet and is all she had to do was go to DMV and with the case number she could have gotten a new license, but the deputy I talked to failed to inform me of that. She has her license now, but no money.

They towed my vehicle and when I picked it up there were several items stolen from inside. Upon attempting to contact the General Manager, I received no return call. I attempted to reach him several times.

My name is Ray. I had the unfortunate experience of having my car towed from a Condo complex in Bradenton, Fl.
Apparently, the complex had moved guest parking spots alerting in advance of the changes by letter. It was my fault that I did not read the letter. At first I felt anger because I had parked in that area many times. It was night and I just pulled in as usual. I went to the tow yard and paid the tab as it was my fault but noticed that
during the tow process my Lincoln side mirror was damaged. They took photo's and said I would be contacted. The very next day I received a call from the President of the company who assured me that the car would be repaired with a factory mirror replacement. I was called when the mirror was delivered to them and treated with the utmost respect. I was encouraged to get out of the hot sun and was invited into an air conditioned office to relax while the repair was being completed. The repair was done perfectly.
Calvin, who is the President is a nice young man trying to run a business and make a living like any other owner. Comm Tow understands your frustration being towed and has invested in the best equipment to make sure the truck drivers do not damage your vehicle.
Unfortunately, he is like the Policemen viewed as ticket writers again bringing misery to all. Bringing misery to most customers who have been towed is certainly not why this man wakes up each morning. This is a business that must enforce parking violations by contract with State and local governments as well as Privately owned businesses.. If the customer just takes a moment to be honest, that customer might just realize that the owner runs a business to make a living like any other. I wrote this review because I saw some negative reviews and realized that in the heat of the moment, being towed is very upsetting and costly. However, in fairness to the business owner, please take a moment to examine your heart for the real fault before putting words to an official site that will hurt a very well run business.
