We took a great deal of time and effort in August to set up an equity loan on our property for the exact amount this insurer claims we are eligible to receive based on their property records searchIf this were only "junk mail", the same offer sent out to thousands of recipients, then why the need for a property search described in Item of their reply, "a review solely for accounting purposes" if the offer is not based on any asset (such as house or financial situation) referred to in Item 7?
Our property records do not include the name of the addressee to whom this insurance offer was made. Our bank gave every document close scrutiny, performed a title search, and gave us copies of what the county had on file. That person does not appear anywhere on themAs a vendor to other insurance companies, they have a duty to take additional measures to ensure their sources are updated and cross-referenced for accuracy. We do know the history of our property records and the addressee has NEVER appeared on them, nor has he ever paid taxes on the property, resided there, filed public documents, or engaged in any activity that would declare or confer some form of ownership. How did this company connect the dots? The addressee had to make an inquiry or have an already established relationship with the insurer. Preliminary information was gathered to be followed up on using the form providedThis is how a simple oversight turns into fraudTo prove our point, which public record regarding our property contains the addressee's name and can this company provide the document numbers so we can see them? It's not enough to declare that they're out there for anyone to look up then fill in the blanks with what you wantThat this is common marketing practice deemed acceptable by insurance companies is an alarming statement since they aren't in the business of selling cars or lottery tickets but handling vital information that other businesses accept as being true in regard to the insured entityIf the addressee can pull this off, sign up for insurance based on property he doesn't own, then anyone can jump in and enjoy the same benefits

1. We have no relationship, personal or business, with the complainant. This includes the facts that no money has been exchanged, our telephone log shows no calls from the complainant, there is no file on the complainant meaning no letters have ever been received,...

and our computer system shows that the complainant has never responded to a marketing piece.2. The information that the complainant blames us for is obtained from public records available for anyone or any organization to see and review. We obtain this information from a very large corporation (one of many that do this) that sends people out to the public records offices and then, for a fee, provides such information to us in computerized form.
3. We review the data solely for accounting purposes and then forward it, unchanged, to a mailing house which sends out the marketing pieces on pre-printed and pre-authorized forms. It is virtually impossible for computer to computer to mailing house computer to modify the collected information in any way. Any errors the complainant may observe, is most assuredly an unintentional, accidental error in transcribing from the public records, or the information in the public records Is Incorrect.
4. Every word of the marketing piece received by the complainant has been reviewed and approved by the compliance department of our insurer, one of the largest insurance companies in the world. It has also been approved by state insurance commissioners. The insurance industry is one of the most regulated industries in the United States.
5. We are a vendor to [redacted], which has no technical input to the mailing of these marketing pieces.
6. The piece received by the complaint was one of tens of thousands of third-class mail (sometimes derogatorily referred to as "junk mail”) sent out each month by us and similar pieces send out by dozens of other companies. If the Revdex.com received a complaint from everybody who receives a piece of third-class bulk mail, you would have tens of thousands of complaints every day and would be unable to assist consumers with legitimate complaints. The vast majority of people receiving such third-class mail simply toss it into a trashcan, Instead of going to the trouble of lodging a complaint. As this is one piece of a one-time mailing, there is no possibility or conceivable damage to the complainant.
7. This insurance is "guaranteed issue" and available to anybody in the United States and has zero effect on the complainant. The insurance is not based on any asset (such as a house) or financial situation.
8, We recommend that if the complainant is still concerned, that he or she check with the settlement agent to see if the correct information was sent to public records, or visit public records to see if there was some recording error.
9. We have been incorporated and performing the same business for 25 years and have mailed out over 40,000,000 of these pieces and this is the first time ever that we have received a complaint from a Revdex.com.
10. We have deleted the complainant's record from our mailing lists and no further mailing will be sent to the complainant, We consider the matter closed.
11. If any further information is required, kindly write or call us on our toll-free number,
Very sincerely,
Melinda H[redacted] Office Manager
