Review: I was in need of a modification for my home loan and I received a phone call back in February of this year from a gentleman named [redacted] with The Remedy Group. He told me that his firm has helped thousands of people in my situation before and sent me via email some examples. I paid close to $4000.00 for the services and now we are almost in December and I can't get in contact with [redacted] with the Remedy Group or any of his associates via email or phone. I spoke to my lender of the home loan and they said the last time any communication between them and the Remedy Group was back in October and that now they are getting return mail because the address provided has no such company there anymore.During the whole process I was getting updates via email from [redacted] and also with a woman named [redacted] Borboa from the processing department. The last email I received from [redacted] was back on September 17th stating that she was waiting for my lender to get back to her with a resolution to my modification. [redacted] would contact me via email or phone call requesting more documents that was requested by my lender, in which I would send to her rather quickly. I just hope I can get my money back and hopefully help others not to fall into these types of scams.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded and hope that these types of firms are held responsible for their actions or lack of and taking people's hard earn money.

Review: I have been trying to get in contact with customer service or any person regarding loan modification help with my mortgage company. They debited my account for 3 upfront installments for their service. After the final payment, I have cannot get in touch with anyone. They are scammers, there are no phone numbers anymore, no email and they have removed their website. I have been taken advantaged of and scammed for 3,950.00 dollars for so called attorney and case processing fees with my Mortgage holder. After unsuccessful attempts to reach anyone at the REMEDY Law Center. I reached out to my lender on my own and found that they have my information from earlier this year to request a modification, However they were unsuccessful in contacting them as well as my 3rd party contact as indicated in writing at the beginning of the process. I was then informed that I had to send a signed letter to remove them immediately and that my modification could be handled without any upfront fees. Summarily because they have my information, my accounts no, and money I am at risk. So I immediately stopped this in writing. This company is listed on Rip of report.com as recent as 11/2013 and I am so disgusted that I fell prey to this, they have several different names also.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. I want this company to be held liable for fraudulent representation and added to a class action lawsuit.

Review: The Home Remedy Group contracted with me to complete a home modification. They were paid $3,900.00 but did not perform the service. The Bank (BOA) stated they have not been in contact with the company. The telephone numbers are disconnected and I can not get any information from them. ###-###-#######-###-#######-###-####They called me weekly when I was paying the fees they stopped after the money was paid in full. Had me complete lost of documents then disappearedDesired Settlement: I would like the company to complete the modification or refund the $3,900.00

Response:

I attached the signed agreement which indicates the payments requested by the Home Remedy Group and the three bank statements that indicate the $1,300 payments each made on the 1st of the month (May 2013, June 2013 and July2013).

Review: I Received letter from Home Remedy in the mail. I called the company,as they referenced [redacted] of [redacted], to inquire about refinancing our current mortgage. I was told they could refinace at a significant lower rate, "at least 300-400.00 cheaper per month". I was told they required payment upfront, in 3 payments of 1,330.00 each. The company provided a Fex Ex envelope for us to send our checks. All three checks were sent at the same time. Received all documents via email and signatures were electronic. We corresponded with several different representatives of the company via email and telephone. The process continued to be prolonged, they kept asking for documents that I had already sent. Late October I sent an email stating my frustration about how long it was taking. At this point, I could not get in touch by phone or email with anyone. Checked the website, it was shut down. Started researching Home Remedy and have discovered they are a fraudulent company. We need help getting our money back and exposing this scam.Desired Settlement: We want our $3990.00 back. Payment was for loan modification we have not recieved.

Review: We were approached in July 2013 for a loan modification with a promise that it would take no more than 90 days to complete. it is now December and we have been passed off to multiple resources at Remedy with only email and FAX communications. No one seems to answer phone numbers. With no emails now for over a month, and $4000 spent, we feel Remedy has breached their contract.Desired Settlement: We would like to have our funds returned. No further services from Remedy would be accepted.

Review: On 5 March I was contacted by a Remedy Group solicitor asking if I would like to look into a mortgage loan rate/principal reduction from my current [redacted] company. The Remedy Group assigned me a client #[redacted] and loan mod #[redacted] They asked for my basic income ([redacted]) and mortgage info (House worth 169,000/owe 202,388) and I told them I was not a hardship case. They told me no problem that it was [redacted]'s fault I was in this mess (Can't refinance as I am too far under water)and that they could do something to help me. I trusted them and paid them $3990, 3 payments of $1330 12 March, 12 April, 10 May 2013. The case manager was [redacted] at ###-###-####. After 8 months of personal requests and many filings of hardship affidavits that I told them would not work, [redacted] mortgage declined any change to my mortgage. I sent all the decline paperwork to Remedy Group in November with no response from them at all.I feel Remedy Group should have known in March after seeing my income/under water situation and should have declined this case in March knowing that [redacted] would decline any mortgage change. Furthermore, Remedy Group deliberately deceived me with false hopes and as a law firm has no excuse for allowing this case to proceed. I feel Remedy Group should refund the entire $3990.Desired Settlement: I would like Remedy Group to refund the entire amount of $3990 for deliberately giving false hope when it appears all Remedy Group wanted was the money.

Review: remedy home center promised to refinance our mortgage and lower our monthly payment. they cashed a check from us for 1500.00.and we were told to not pay our mortgage co our payment cause it had to at least 3 months deliquent to do a modification. but then we didnt hear from them anymore and now we have to go to court to try and stop a foreclosure on our home. their phone numbers no longer work or are constantly busy and no answers to the tons of emails from us to the different people who were supposedly handling our case.we are a family of 5 w/ 3 children who might lose their home due to this company.Desired Settlement: I would like my 1500.00 refunded and/or to know this company cannot do this to any other family.

Review: I have been working with The Remedy Group to get a loan modification on my home mortgage. I started back in Feb 2013. They "prequalified" me to make sure I was eligible for the modification, then, over the next couple months, sent them two checks totalling $2,500. I was dealing with [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] among others. It took 6 months to eventually get my data submitted to Bank of [redacted]. I finally got a call and a letter from them saying that I wasn't eligible because of my income level. In late November, I told Mr [redacted] that I wanted a refund. He said that my file was being reviewed by his supervisor and that he would call me in one week to let me know if his supervisor had any other options for my mortgage modification, and if he didn't, then we would talk about what was necessary to process the refund. Ever since then, I haven't heard from them and I get a recording about the phone system being "overloaded at this time" and to try my call again later.Desired Settlement: Refund of my money.

Review: I contacted The Remedy Group in Newport Beach, CA from a document I received in the mail. This

company was to help me with a Home Modification Loan to reduce our payments and possibly lower

the principal of our [redacted]. For them to process this, they would require a fee of $3,990.00 to be used for

closing costs. (Which I found out later, there are no closing costs for this type of [redacted]). They convinced

me that the best way to pay these fees to them was to discontinue the mortgage payments for two

months. They said that not making the payments would not hurt our credit rating and it really did. Our

credit card companies have reduced our limits from the $20,000.00 that we had to a bear $4,000.00.

Our credit rating has dropped which is not good if we would have to obtain a [redacted]. I should not have

discontinued the payments, but that is the only way we had of paying this fee and again a feel that

should not have been charged us at all. The bank is sending us notices that they will foreclose on our

house if we don't get the mortgage up to date. We do not have the monies to do this because we paid

The Remedy Group for services that they did not render.

To begin the process of this loan, we had to produce many documents such as our income tax

statements, utility bills, etc. The information was required by Bank of America, who held the loan

papers. I continued to forward the required information to The Remedy Group for about a month after

the original date, until I found out they were just forwarding all the information to BOA. At that point, I

started sending the information to BOA and also The Remedy Group as when I talked to BOA they had

not received them from The Remedy Group and if they did it was at least a week from when I had sent

them directly to BOA. BOA would call me at least two times a week to inform me of the progress. I

never heard from The Remedy Group unless I contacted them.

After this month, I discontinued contacting The Remedy Group as they were not performing as they

should be doing to process this loan. I felt this was the only way that this loan would be processed in a

timely manner was for us to handle the paperwork.

We feel that we are due a complete refund of the $3,990.00 for the closing costs which should not have

been charged and as I said earlier this type of loan does not have closing costs. We also feel that we are

due the approximately $1,500.00, probably more at this date, for late fees for not making our payments

for a couple months.Desired Settlement: I want The Remedy Group ro refund the $3, 990. 0 plus the late fees, that have accrued as of this date which are approximately $1,500.00 for

not making the two mortgage payments which they said we should do so that we could pay them their fees.
