Home Rescue & Remodeling, LLC Reviews (2)

I have been retained to represent Home Rescue & Remodeling, LLC in this matterI have spent a significant amount of time over the last month reviewing all of the documentation related to this project, including all of the invoices, correspondence, structural engineer's drawings, pictures,
accounting records, and materials used for this ProjectI am preparing a settlement demand letter, as the Customer owes my client an amount in excess of $30,in materials, additional work performed after the original bid, and an outstanding balance on the original invoiceAn in depth analysis was necessary in order to properly value the changes the Customer and his wife requested, to adequately address the Customer's concerns, and to accurately calculate the cost of the additional work performed from which the Customer has been enriched. The Customer's wife, *** ***, who is also one of the owners of the house, communicated with my client throughout the duration of the Project and consistently expressed content and accepted the work at every step along the way(She even posted on numerous occasions on Facebook about how happy she was with the project when it was finalized in SeptemberSee the attached picture of her Facebook post.) The Customer's concerns only came about after my client requested the next payment owed on the account. Finally, while the Customer appears unhappy about the aesthetic nature of the transition in the floor, the flooring passed final inspectionNote that the transition was between the new addition built by my client and the existing structure, which was built in Also, please understand that we are talking about a transition in a hallway, which is merely approximately inches wideAfter the original bid, the Customer requested wood flooring to be installed in the existing structure to replace the carpet that was in that closetUpon demolition of that existing floor, my client discovered that the existing flooring was not level, the walls were uneven and bowed, and the foundation as is would not support a level floor without a minor height difference at the transitionAfter extensive communication between my client and the Customer, my client presented several optionsHowever, the Customer was not willing at that time to pay any additional costs to properly level and strengthen the floor joists and foundation in order to level the subfloor throughout the existing closet in order to prevent a height difference at transitionInstalling a piece of plywood, as the Customer suggests, would not only put unnecessary additional weight on weak floor joists and compromise the foundation, but because the existing subfloor is unlevel, there would be a substantial height difference with the floor at the transition on the other side of the room, as the bowing would raise the floor at the next transitionFurthermore, a new piece of plywood without new floor joists, if properly secured, would then have several spots where it would bow down and cause additional height differential in the next transitionMy client chose to not compromise the integrity of the floor and installed a level floor while adjusting the transitions to create a minimal impactThe Customer approved this optionRaising the floor would have also required additional labor and materials for the dry walls and trim but the Customer did not want to incur any additional cost for this optionIt is my client's professional opinion that the gradual 5/to 3/inch transition from the new addition to the existing closet and its level floor is acceptable and was the best solution without replacing the floor joists or making the foundation more structurally sound.I request that you dismiss this complaint, as my client is willing to work towards a solution with this Customer, and prevent this issue from affecting any future rating by the Revdex.comMy client takes extreme pride in the workmanship and customer service that Home Rescue & Remodeling, LLC routinely provides and this Project was no exceptionOnce my client learned of this complaint, I advised my client to not have any further direct communication with the Customer so that I can handle this matterIn the alternative, I request that you put this matter on hold so that we can attempt alternative dispute resolution before initiating what could be costly and time consuming litigationPlease feel free to contact me directly should you have any questions.Thank you,*** ** ***

I spoke to Jeff yesterday told him that I would pay the $the balance on the final bill he gave me on Sept18thHe told me there was the error in the accounting and that I owed another $I asked him what was the $30,he said he would eat the $20,and work with the $10,the fact of the matter is the $20,is a made up number which I was never made aware of nor given any bills forI was given a final bill of $on Sept the 18th that is what I will payThere is well over $in unfinished or unsatisfactory work which I will not pursue if the $is acceptedfor the record my bran new furnace was improperly setupFor two weeks I have tried to get Chris to look at it the installer from HRR and have had no luckYesterday I had another company look at it and they said it was not setup properlyI paid the bill but it should have been warrantied by HRRJust another example of their lack of concern especially when it comes to a serious matter such as our heat
