Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I have contacted someone to come look at it to see how much it will be. I would also like my carpet fixed in the master bedroom. They keep askimg for pictures but ther is not enough light to see the seam issue. I also want to make sure the heavier paddimg was put in the master. I am having carpet put in bonus room in a few week. I will have the assess the carpet issue and what you can do to fix it. I will mail a piece of the floor once that is set up. This dispute will stay open umtil both these issues are resolved.

I was contacted by Mrs. [redacted] approximately Dec. 19, 2014 saying that she had a problem with the wood flooring that we sold to her contractor ([redacted], [redacted]).  Before the wood was purchased in August I discussed with Mrs. [redacted] the fact that the warranty...

would only cover materials no installation since the builder was providing the installation by his workers.  When Mrs. [redacted] contacted me in December she said that it looked like a manufacturing problem and I asked her to send pictures and a brief description of the problem.   I received 1 picture on Dec. 22 with no description stating what the problem was, after another request from me on Jan. 6th for a description I received a response on Jan. 7th that stated it look like the top layer was peeling off on the edges.  I submitted a claim to the manufacturer and they asked what room the damage was in and asked for additional pictures, which I was supplied by Mrs. [redacted] and in return I submitted them to the manufacturer.  The manufacturer then responded by asking if there had been any water damage to the floor and they requested that a board from the damaged area be sent in for inspection since they suspect water damage, which is not covered by the warranty.  I relayed this information to Mrs. [redacted] and told her that she could have the flooring repaired with the extra pieces she had left over from the original installation and send me the damaged board with the bill for the repair and I would take care of sending it to the manufacturer for her and if they honored the claim I would send her the reimbursement check from the manufacturer.  She feels that I should send someone out for the repair but I told her that it would be more cost effective for her to have someone local to her to repair the flooring in case the claim is not honored.  I have the email correspondence between Mrs. [redacted] and myself if you need them.

As I stated in my response, we did not install the flooring.  We provided materials only to the builder for him to install.  When a store only provides material they do not have the responsibility of going in and taking up materials when a manufacturing problem is suspected.  I have given the customer advice on finding an installer to take up the materials and will be more than happy to assist her in continuing to work with the manufacturer to settle her issues but upon their viewing of photos submitted they feel it is a moisture issue and need products for testing.  Her bathroom would not have to be unusable based on information provided by her stating she has materials on hand to make the repair and installer would be able to re-install in once visit when damaged flooring is removed.

I don' t feel it is my responsibility to hire someone to take up the floor, mail it and have my bathroom unusable umtil I get a response from them.

Review: We have a warranty and they will not come repair the damaged flooringDesired Settlement: We have 4 to 5 planks that are peeling up in our half bath and one separating in the kitchen. We would like them to come replace them. We have the extra flooring but the owner keeps putting us off to come fix the issue. I have contacted her numerous times. This is a brand new home and we do have a warranty but she keeps making excuses as to why they can't come out to fix the issue.
