Review: We contacted Sue [redacted] team to view a property they had listed. They requested that we pay $45 for background checks ($15 per person, there were 3 of us). The background checks went through fine and we arranged a viewing for the house. Day before the viewing we call [redacted]'s office to confirm that the viewing was still on, and we were told that the house had been taken off the market the week before. Very unprofessional: They didn't bother to call and tell us. If we hadn't called we would've wasted a day going to see this house and no one would have showed up. And they have the gall to not refund the credit check money, which they should have refunded to us as soon as the house was taken off the market. Was very rude and surprised when I requested it back.Warning to the next group who uses [redacted] make sure to get a viewing and verify that the house is on the market before you give her your money.

Review: I signed a contract with [redacted] and [redacted]) to buy their house at [redacted]. However, my mortgage application was denied because the lender has strict guidelines as to a loan applicant's eligibility when the applicant is not a permanent resident of the U. S. So I submitted contract termination and deposit refund form on November 24th, 2013. However, the sellers instructed their agency (Home Selling Team at Mansfield Center, CT) not to release the deposit.However, mortgage contingency is in the contract. The Home Selling Team's agent [redacted] never tried to make this work. Even worse, [redacted] did not tell me that the house is on probate title and the third owner passed away. Although my agent [redacted] with [redacted] negotiated with him again and again and asserted that they should release the deposit ($3000). But [redacted] with Home Selling Team did not do so. Now the house was deposited with another buyer already and my deposit is still kept by Home Selling Team. I tried to go to the small claim court with the sellers and Home Selling Team, but can not find the new address for the sellers. I asked [redacted] for the address and my attorney asked the sellers' attorney for the address, but neither of them disclosed to me. Since it is the law that the deposit should be refunded if the mortgage is denied, I do not understand why both the sellers and Home Selling Team refuse to release the deposit. If the sellers can do anything like this and the seller's agent does nothing as Home Selling Team, what is the point of having the the contract and having deposit in the escrow account? I have suffered a lot in this process. Because of the cancellation of the contract, I have no place to live and had to live in the motel for three weeks and now stay in a basement apartment temporarily. Home Selling Team is unethical because they did not disclose the title and did not make it work.Desired Settlement: I strongly request that Home Selling Team should release the deposit ($3000) to me and compensate for my suffering in the past few months, due to Home Selling Team's unethical behaviors and doing-nothing in this process (e.g., did not disclose house probate title, did not act according to the law)
