Home Surfaces, Inc. Reviews (11)

My real estate investor client introduced me to the people at Home Surfaces. He uses them for all of his remodeling and repairs of his properties. Our experience with them has been positive. We have found them to be both cooperative and responsive to our needs. As a realtor, I can also say that their work has helped me sell my clients faster and for higher prices as a result of their work.

I have been using Home Surfaces for five years for all my renovation and repair needs on over ten investment properties and my own home. They are very reliable, professional, and inexpensive relative to other contractors. The quality of their work is top notch. I highly recommend them.

We used Home Surfaces for two big renovations in our house in Queen Creek. The first being our master bath. We had a jetted tub that I wanted to have the faux marble removed and tile put in. The problem, no lip on the tub to butt the tile to. No problem, [redacted] came up with an idea and it turned out amazing. They added footage to the walk in shower, tiled the whole thing and added granite countertops. The second project was replacing the 1300 sq feet of laminate with 20x20 Italian tile. We added in a few rooms after the initial start of the project. A jack and jill bath was completely redone from tub to toilet to granite counters. When I waivered on choices, [redacted] was very helpful with her suggestions. We have since sold our home (8-14) and I absolutely feel that the house sold in two day(two offers), would not have happened without the wonderful renovations and the quality of work. Thank you!!

I worked directly with [redacted] from Home Surfaces to demo my original countertops and backsplash and replace the counters and backsplash. While there were some bumps along the way, I am pleased with the end result. [redacted] was very responsive and showed up when she said she would. She was also always very prompt when responding to any issues that arose during the process; she was willing to work with me and her workers to make it right. For example, the tile guys did not square the corners so that they aligned so I contacted [redacted] – she called her guys and the next morning before grouting they made everything align properly.

We had our kitchen and baths remolded along with new tile flooring installed thru out the house. The kitchen and bath portions ended up tuning out nice but the initial quality was lacking. There were scratches on a couple of the new cabinet doors,a wood panel on the island had some good sized chips that were touched up. These were changed after I brought the issues up. For the baths three adjoining walls were cut thru by mistake. After they were patched they were left for me to paint. The tile installation should have turned out better for the money we spent. They were tiles that were not level and it was left for me to decide which ones needed to be reset which led to another issue as now the grout color didn't quite match. New base molding was installed but they were gaps between the tile and molding. This wasn't addressed until I complained. Even after they came back out I still have sections with gaps and some tiles that aren't level. I reviewed Home Surfaces on a couple of websites that let me include photos so you can see examples of the work done instead of just relying on my opinion. While we are happy with the way the kitchen and baths turned out based on the flooring and the way it turned out I can't recommend Home Surfaces.

I had Home Surfaces do my bathroom remodel as well as change out an exterior door and install a doggie door in my home. Each time the work has been done on time and on budge;t which I appreciated so much. I enjoy working with the Home Surfaces team and feel I receive accurate information and ideas of how to make the project better. They work to provide not only valuable service but also ensure the work is done professionally.

Home Surfaces has completed two projects for me - a wood floor installation and a tile installation. In both cases the projects were professionally completed by skilled craftsmen on time and on budget. The company is easy to work with and kept me up to date on all facets of the work. I would highly recommend them.

My wife and I have worked closely with [redacted] on three home projects across the last 3 years. Obviously, we were very pleased with the first project and that prompted us to go back to her for the other two. [redacted] is a contractor who knows what specialists to bring in depending on the needs of the project. She is the point of contact with them, negotiates with them and then regularly stops in during the work to handle any questions or problems.

We initially connected with [redacted] to help us replace the carpet in our home with flooring to be compatible with the existing tile in our entryway, baths, hallway and kitchen. She introduced us to wood-look ceramic tile. It installs like plank wood flooring. We did one room in “cherry” and the remainder in “oak”. It looks great and surprises our guests that it is not hardwood flooring.

Next, we took on the “replacement” of our oak kitchen cabinets. With Patty’s assistance, we reviewed our options and chose to have the cabinets stripped down and painted white. Again, she knew the people to work with who did a wonderful job. As before, we were very pleased with the process and the outcome.

Our most recent and most extensive project involved new counters, sinks and faucets for our kitchen and two bathrooms. [redacted] patiently helped us choose between counter options of material, color, pattern and edging. She took us to multiple suppliers in the area where we could select from massive slabs of quartz and granite. This was so much better than operating with only 12” x 12” display tiles. Once again, she connected with the experts to design the “puzzle pieces” in such a way as to minimize visible seams. We are thrilled with the result.

[redacted] takes a real interest in meeting her client’s wishes and preferences. She knows how to manage a project from beginning to end to produce great results at reasonable prices. We will be back working with [redacted] on future projects due to our trust in her methods and results.

I had a toilet catastrophically fail (10-12 hours of flooding water) in a townhome I rent out. I called HS at 9:30a on a Sunday, they were there to assess by 10a and had people on site to get the damaged material (carpet, drywall, entire kitchen, etc. . .) removed by 11a. Her people her exceptionally fast and courteous. Due to the scale of the damage, we decided to go for an entire remodel. HS helped to choose the most durable materials and neutral colors for ease of renting. They drove all over the valley to find in-stock cabinets to get the rental up and running as fast as possible; which resulted in finding cabinets to replace the old bathroom vanities on clearance. To top things off, I kept running into fights with the HOA and insurance claims (hence in-stock for faster turnaround). HS helped motivate me to keep after them to get money for the damages. They provided me contact information for lawyers, the actual laws, consumer advocacy groups etc.

I could not be more happy with the performance of HS. THey were great people to work with and were always prepared to give their time to help.

Jeanine and Patty are a delight to work with. They are very professional and are committed to accomplishing the project on time and within the budget.

We have had two projects done by Home Surfaces and were very pleased with both. The first was a replacement of our kitchen floor. We had only a rough idea of what we wanted, but after talking about our preferences and use of the space, Patty recommended a tile that was actually less expensive than our original choice, and supervised an installation of a random pattern with accent tiles that gets raves from everyone who sees it. At Patty's recommendation, we also took the tile through the dining room and to the edge of the living room sliding glass door leading to our patio.

It's a much improved and more practical flow than the original.

Our second project was an overhaul of a plain concrete patio into a lovely, comfortable living space. Patty has a great eye for color and we were able to choose a tile that coordinated with the tile from our first project from only three samples she brought us. She did a nice job advising on what changes made sense, and focused on some needed improvements to the electrical wiring.

We are about to embark on a third, much larger project with Home Surfaces, and are already impressed with their attention to the planning and detail that should lead to another successful job.
